- “Let it be to me according to Your word.” Bill Johnson teaches from Luke chapter 1 on Mary’s response to the angel's words to her, and how it is to be an example for us to follow as we trust and surrender to God's word. We are called to face impossibilities with faith and confidence in the fact that Jesus has already settled everything on the Cross. There’s not one impossibility that we will ever face that Jesus did not already make provision for. Just like Mary, may our response to God’s word be “Let it be to me according to Your word.”

"If we knew what was already settled in Heaven, joy would be the natural response." How our faith could respond differently if we could grasp this! As it was done in Mary "....according to Your Word...." It is Written! It was already settled in Heaven. When we can't see, don't know, or struggle to believe what is ahead of us, we can be assured that Father already sees, hears, and knows and believes for you. This is how we increase faith. Thank you Bill for teaching this.
I like what Bill said regarding favor:" part of what you need is what you can obtain through faithfulness with what you have."

“There is a reality that I have not yet tasted” Bill Johnson’s comment is actually speaking of the Eucharist we Catholics receive at every Mass which is nothing less than God Himself. The Eucharist is the Eucharist precisely because of the declaration made by Christ Himself. The Eucharist is the Paschal Mystery, the Lord’s Supper, the Sacrifice of the Cross and it is the Living and Glorious Presence of Christ Himself. If you want to explore this area of the Catholic faith and understanding of Holy Communion I would highly recommend Dr Brant Pitre’s book “Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist” Unlocking the Secrets of the Last Supper. I look forward to the day when God’s Church is united in its understanding and teaching on Holy Communion and we as one family receive from the one table the very Bread of Life!

I disagree with Bill regarding a saying "it wasn't me it was Jesus". Saying that doesn't reject honor at all. It immediately gives honor to Jesus who is the giver of our gifts, talents, and so on. At the end of the day, I give everything to the Lord, all the good, the recognition, all the joy, everything good is given to him.
