I was a young know nothing when I heard “Uncle Sam, goddamn” I still don’t know much but learned I was a history fan and hated the lack of knowledge from all my teachers.
yo i really like this dude..intelligent, down to earth, seems to know how to respect people..the top three things on my list of what a human being is supposed to be like
Too much of life is surrounding ourselves with people who are exactly like us. If Brother Ali isn't like you---and he pretty much can't be unless you're a blind, Albino, Muslim rapper from Minnesota---then expand your horizons and hear what his view is. You won't be diminished from listening to others; your brain doesn't shrink from injecting other ideas. It's sad for me to read how comments dissect people up. We don't need to do that to each other---especially not after watching such a respectful and enlightening interview like this. "You're not using your heart for what hearts are for."
Sway and his group have intention and brother Ali have intention, What a Big difference between the two......... Brother Ali radiate love and peace and wisdom.......🙏
"im not interested in beating them at their own game or out deviling the devil" dude...... i dont even know how to say how much impact those words just had
I say this because of what is going on between Christians and Muslims. The hate that is spoken by some of one faith toward another faith. Half of this interview was about Muslims how does religion have nothing to with it?
Hes saying nobody's ancestors lived off the back of slaves except America.. and lists places like Africa and Asia as examples of places who didn't flourish off the back of slavery.. Damn man that is just not factual, Africa has practiced slavery for thousands of years and STILL TIL THIS DAY enslave their own people.. the Pygmy people of the Congo are still enslaved now by other Africans and Africans were enslaved by other Africans when they were first sold to brazilians then europeans.. so don't give me this shit about everyone is innocent except Americans.. You begin to just sound extremely ignorant to any historically informed person when you start to talk like that. And i only gave one example, you can look toward the history of the Moors enslaving whites, asians and hispanics for nearly 1000 years straight as well.. wake up and stop blaming everyone except yourself or nothing will change
Masha'llah, this brother is so on point. God willing, Allah will continue to sharpen and mature us all who are willing to be molded by Al Hayy. Insha'llah I will be a better man tomorrow than I am today. Brother Ali, I'm thankful that there are people like you to be examples for right living and staying in the adab with those around us. I know not to put people up on a pedestal, but it's pretty clear that even if you are to stumble, your intent is honorable. love and blessings, Assalamu'alaykum wa rahmatu'llah wa barakatu
a man so fair can carry such heaviness and darkness inside is genuinly a rare thing in this world treasure him i see baptized emibem version here he is very humble in speech maybe struggle makes it all the way through
Allah Allah...beautiful soul. May Allah preserve you Brother Ali for His cause ameen. It is a blessing to see your growth, please know you are teaching us much. Allah made you in your unique fashion for a purpose. May you always live your purpose, ameen.
he's so elegant and dope all at once. his songs a really great and soft... and then he's featured on R.A.'s song The Dangerous Three and spits hells bars XD
First time I have had the pleasure of listening to Brother Ali’s interview. What a decent human being. He mentioned that one of his teachers is Umar Farooq Abdullah. It shows! Shaikh Umar Farooq Abdullah is an amazing, amazing personality - truly one of a kind. May Allah protect them and bless them both.
All Love to Brother Ali........we can not agree on everything, but that's just cause the meeting of the minds brings that type of elevation to us. We ALL will have to deal with this life or your life you live and your environment. Give Truth to those around you, because we need to be that city on a hill that shines bright, we can't just keep it for ourselves, we all need to know, God Bless the World, I love you all out there , even if I don't know you personally.
Had the pleasure of meeting the good Brother last year after his set, and he was every bit as humble and welcoming in person as he comes across in his music and media.
"CAN'T TEACH WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW, CAN'T LEAD WHERE YOU DON'T GO, CAN'T REAP WHAT YOU DON'T SOW, CAN'T FOOL THE PEOPLE NO MORE, AND THATS JUST HOW IT GO!!!!!" THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!! Can't wait for that album. Hopefully it's on Tidal.
Ours are the cries that breathe life in the concrete Ours are the tears that splash genius at God's feet Ours are the prayers that weave poetry through drum beats Victory Pure poetry
Uncle Usi Taught Me has been one of my favorite songs for a while now. I love this performance of his and the interview before. The man can really talk but at least what hes saying is interesting to me and I loved the question that I knew was about Uncle Usi and the answer was so good especially how he started it saying it was a hard question
damn sway, threw the brotha off with the actual song he was ready for a live performance not having to do it just like his track thanks for all you do Brother Ali, i gotta listen to your Forest Whitaker track everyday
nah this gotta be his best album, there's so much emotion and groove in every track. not a single diss, no line of hate, no aggression, just 100% heart. sound and rhymes add up and create a stunning soundscape.
i heard this dude spit on Immortal Technique's Album and i fell in love with his verse... i always knew he was signed to Rhymesayers i just never listened to a project of his i am going to listen to this album it's going to be my first introduction then I'll trickle back down to the rest of his catalog

Brother ali always leaves my eyes teary and my brain filled with thoughts. I love this man, his music, his heart and his legacy. One of a kind!

I'm a christian and I believe in Ali's message.
Zach Hodge what does religion have to do with basic logic
I'm an Atheist and agree with his message. Religion has nothing to do with it. It is common human decency.
Zach Hodge what aspect of it? Trump being a devil?
TannerLewis this is not "basic" this is an "elevated" form of thinking
I say this because of what is going on between Christians and Muslims. The hate that is spoken by some of one faith toward another faith. Half of this interview was about Muslims how does religion have nothing to with it?
