Jamie is the healthiest relationship Callie has ever had. They met in a normal way, and at a time when she was emotionally stable. He isn't trying to save her, and she isn't trying to save him, they're just trying to be there for each other, and work as a team to deal with life's hurdles which is what a relationship _should_ be. I also love that they're different on paper, but how they force each other to see things through the other's eyes and I think it makes each of them a better person in the end. She better end up with Jamie he’s the better choice for her, Gael isn’t, he’s Toxic, careless, and hurtful, like what he said to her when he found out Jaime bought his art, was so hateful, and toxic. Jaime would NEVER do that, Jaime and Callies relationship is passionate, safe, warmth, and full of unconditional love for each other, they long for each other, and you can tell in there eyes. The only reason Gael was into Callie was for the lust, and for emotional support, he’s a wreck and he’ll destroy Callie with all of his hateful energy he brings. But Jaime…he was in love with Callie the moment he had a glance of her, Jaime has himself together emotionally and financially, and can protect Callie in the best way possible, it’s what Callie deserves after all she’s been through, and Jaime is the EXACT person for that.

Remember WYATT? He told her off in a Foster episode. He was fed up with her manipulation. Brandon said he couldn't trust her. So, this is just the way Callie is.
