Just to correct you it's not the 50s the video game is where they go back to 1931 and you get to see doc brown at Marty's age. I actually like the story on paper but when I played the video game it didn't execute well. Besides it's not just the story I never liked doc brown or Marty McFly fast cartoon characters. It was better live action like if you did remake the movies but you kept it the exact same as the originals. Except it being cartoon. I feel like the trilogy would be ruined because it was better live action than cartoon. Even if the game was live action I didn't like the story I like the idea but the story didn't execute well. There's other sequels. Bob Gail and Robert zemeckis did make a cartoon TV show which is a good continuation for little kids but for us adults not really. The ride was a perfect sequel but they just shut it down so sad to see that. I like the spin-off movie called back in time where they explain how the movie got made and that's what I use as my 4th installment but that's not a real Back to the Future movie. That's just Bob Gail Robert zemeckis and all the cast explain the story behind how they got into Back to the Future and how the movie got made and the sequels up until the present. They have a comic book series but like I said cartoon. I didn't enjoy that except I like the prequels like how Marty and doc met. I didn't like the continuation comics though.

I'll just throwing this other coming here. Animated series no the ride shut down destroyed. Video game only an imagination not executed well comics no back in time yes but it doesn't count. There is a 10-minute short called Doc Brown saves the world. Which is a perfect fourth movie I would say. However it's only 10 minutes. They create a story of why are 2015 is different from their 2015. We would like an explanation in real life but we don't need to explain it within the backs of the future story. Spoilers duck finds out in the next 30 years in 2045 that the whole world gets destroyed because of these inventions of flying hoverboards and flying cars. So he stops them from being invented then returns to a 2015 that's more accurate to what actually happened. It's only 10 minutes so I don't really count it as a sequel but it is good. They also did a universal franchise crossover that included Doc Brown but I don't count that as a sequel cuz I'm not a fan of movie crossovers only TV show crossovers.
With all that said there are eight sequels. I agree with you guys that this trilogy should not be touched. I mentioned seven of the sequels. However I would argue that we have something and Bob Dale and Robert zemeckis said this is the closest we'll ever get to a park four. This is over 2 hours long so perfect to be back to the Future movie and it's a story within the Back to the Future universe not behind the scenes like back in time. It's live action not cartoon. It works good on paper and in real life. It was executed beyond expectations. The other seven don't really fit in either because they're too short or other issues. Like the story doesn't look good. However there is one great continuation. You must talk about. They found a way to replace Christopher Lloyd and Michael j fox too. Back to the Future the musical. It is a adaptation of the 1985 movie. The songs added to the musical layer the characters even more than the movie did. It's just as good if not better then the movie itself. If you want to see it on Broadway. Casey likes does very well at replacing Michael j fox and Rodger Bart. In London been Joyce and Ollie Dawson also played Marty. They even throw in a Back to the Future 4 joke in there. They agree the Musical cast that there should not be a Back to the Future for Aura Back to the Future Musical 2. They will never turn the trilogy into the show just the original movie. The musical is so good that people want to leave it untouched just like the movies. If you want another Back to the Future it doesn't take place after part 3 but it retails part 1 kind of like Back to the Future part 2 did. Except Marty and duck are not time traveling back to the 50s they're just retelling the story. You still get to see the first movie with a different point of view and you may think it's risk at disappoint but for people like me who have already seen it. I can say for my opinion. It did not disappoint. Robert zemeckis did The impossible. They found a way to retail Back to the Future exactly the same way and same lines and same scenes as the movie with only a few changes and added songs that are both from the movie and not from the movie. It still holds up as the original did. Back to the Future part 3 rewatch part 1 but from the musical perspective.
I love the threading of the clock tower thru the movies.
