If you book and pay on the spot also I wouldn't recommend. 1. Hotel might sell your rooms to someone else who is willing to pay directly. 2. Hotel prices would increase drastically if you are coming without booking. 3. You might run out of good hotels at a decent price during December. If you are traveling alone / with just a group of friends then that is fine. But if you are with family. 100% not recommended. Better be safe.
