JOLENE (intro) Dolly Parton - FINGERPICKING guitar TUTORIAL

This weeks guitar tutorial breaks down and demonstrates the fantastic acoustic fingerpicking intro to Dolly Partons' song Jolene.
The picking pattern is played in the Travis Picking style and uses the chord shapes Asus2 and Am7.
The techniques it incorporates are 'hammer-ins' and 'pull-offs'. It has a capo on the 4th fret.
The lesson is aimed at experienced beginners to intermediate guitarists due to the speed and technique.

It’s also fun to move the capo. I watched some live performances and Dolly also played it with capo on G. I honestly love it without capo, it really pumps with muted open E. Now, the real challenge is to get the singing line into it 😬.
