I could not sleep last night and decided to watch this in my bed on tv...great stuff, ended up looking at other people's videos going through the 1900's the 60's etc etc...Memories, can't beat Blackpool for a day out.
01.10 That part of Blackpool looked very much the same 60 yrs ago. The building frontage at the centre of the picture back in the 60's was Yates wine lodge. As for the outdoor baths, south shore they held wonderful bathing beauty contests there back in the 1950's-60's but the pool was unheated and all but the warmest of days you'd get hypothermia bathing in that pool.
What an absolute gem of an upload. Loved the effects❤Seeing where the Sand Castle is as to what it used to be like was new to me. The whole upload was great. Thankyou so much for doing this. 😊❤
Today and for over 10 yrs , one street back from the prom shows Blackpool as a complete cess pit of gone businesses , crumbling buildings. A total shame that should have been addressed by the local council many years ago. As a Glaswegian i would visit this town twice a year for my childhood years till adult years. I loved the town , it excited me but my last visit in 2012 hammered the finals nail . Not family friendly, a town full of beggars , short term stags and drunken louts fighting. Its soo F-in sad as i enjoyed my times there growing up and into my 20s and early 30s. Blackpool could be good again and the people of the area should be championing this. Last year we staycationed , we may do this again this year. BP council work this shit out and understand the great Kevin Costner's slogan " BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME "
Great video. Amazingly, with your creative and technical ability, one can now see with what vigour, a succession of councillors, tin-pot politicians and town planners have successfully turned Blackpool into the wall-to-wall toilet it is today. Well done.
That's the best transformation clip I've seen for years and would love to learn how to do similar. The owner / blogger will have a pint on me at som epoint.
Great video, enjoyed every second. Blackpool was far more beautiful in the old days. ❤️
Great video thanks i just love going to Blackpool keep up the good work

What a sad loss to some great Victorian architecture 😢

Pop ups keep coming up at the top on every video so I can't see the dates. Getting too much pressing x all throughout the videos.
