Finally a reviewer who rides like I do. I thrash the hell out of my Yamaha XC155 and am seriously looking at the Xmax 300. Your review helps a lot. Thanks.
Tyres: Michelin City Grip 2 - i use this set in my Nmax, they are rated as all-season tyres, in my experience - handling well in cold British weather conditions as well, and give some feedback from the road condition (You'll feel 'warning' slightly tyre skid before totally lost grip) plus: slightly more resistance to punctures (compare to first generation of this tyres) For daily comutee - they are my personal best.
They are really good. Just don‘t confuse them with City Grip 1 tires. They are horrible in the wet. My Xmax 300 had CG1 as standard, the rear tire always slipped first. I changed the rear to CG2 because of wear and now the front is the limiting factor. The rear never slips unless you open the throttle at full lean angle, not even in the wet.
I have changed 4 bikes and 2 scooters the Last ten years All ot them around 300cc. I test drive forza 350 and some others.. I bought xmax 2021 and l think is the Best buy for 6000€. you can do a little bit of everything inside and around the city. I am going to keep it 2 or more years for sure..
In the US, or anywhere else where high speed motorways are concrete slabs laid after each other with gaps between them, with some higher than others, such that you repeatedly hit huge bumps at motorway speeds, these things' suspension meet their match. Badly. Motorcycles, even stiffly sprung ones like superbikes, are simply on another level, in that environment. It is possible things aren't as bad in practice as I'm making it out to be, if you don't have lower back issues to begin with. But I do, so I'm sensitive to it. And it's shockingly noticeable. I don't have much of a problem with the unified rears until speeds go above those which 125s can reach. So the me, those make more sense. Combined with a motorbike for faster, further stuff. Or a Maxi, if you're in Europe and want one for all. Of course, if your back is OK with one of these, they are amazingly competent at pretty much everything, like Cager demonstrates.
I just sold my Z900. Waiting to get my 2023 xmax. Arthritis. Sue me. I had a yamaha aurex 155 in thailand. Had sooooo much fun. Im not the smallest bloke , and i was ok with the performance of the 155 around town and a little highway stuff. With twice the capacity im sure my xmax will go well enough for my riding.
So, Forza or xmax?? I have a Forza on order but delivery is a long way off, so thinking of changing my mind! I had an xmax before & it was great, even on the motorway & with a pillion. I traded it in against a Tracer 900gt. Big mistake
I have a Super Cub, and I'm looking for (additional) something that can handle the highway in America. I don't want something really big. I've got it down to either this Xmax 300 or a Honda CB500X. The Xmax has a considerably lower seat height and lower center of gravity. But the honda has more power.
To anyone coming from 500cc or above scooters this will leave you wanting for more power. Everything is great about this scooter except lack of power and inability to stretch your legs out.

Best test of the XMAX I have seen so far and I have seen then a lot, BRAVO !!!
Totally agree, got mine in September. Already did 4200km. (addicted to it)

"I leave a big gap for imponderables" That's a good way to express it :)

7000 euros here 😢

I got one and it's great. Comfy fast with loads of room under the seat
I have a matte blue 2021, i enjoy riding it everyday.
I think it is way more than a city scoot. I sold big bike and use this. Cruise at 120kph easy. Pcx is city scoot I think. Cheers cager👍

@@motohound90 Why compare the speed of a 150cc to 300cc? 🤡

I have the same plan
Have a z900 and selling it for win xmax or tmax not sure yet but one of those scooters will be it.
Nice review.
Euro riders seem a level above the average rider in USA.
yes indeed but you need to check how they drive at greece and Italy.totally insane people they are like all population are race drivers 🤣
Why is the check engine light on? That's not normal right?
What is this beautiful town??

Sold my xmax and motorcycle this year. Its the xmax i miss the most.
Hi, very nice ride.
Have you tested the Cruisym 300? Can you do a comparison please.
Thanks
I have a 80km journey to work. 60 of which is highway. Would you recommend this or the forza 350 for that sort of journey?
What tyres are on the scooter ?
Michelin City Grip 1 (Previously it was Dunlop Scootsmart).
@@CsabaV I’ve now got those tyres on my scooter. The Scootsmart was not available.
One of these ( new 2023 tech max 300) or a Forza 350 ? as a 'do everything bike' ?
How does it compare to a SYM with 300CC engine?
Why was the engine light lite thru the whole video?
I think youre tripping
Great video, i am thinking of getting one
You should check ADV 350 from Honda as well. Longer travelling Showa suspensions might be giving better handling.
Did you buy one
@@kadiocalc no, i did get a suzuki V strom 650 new
at which country and city you was???

The Xmax can keep a steady 80mph but you‘re basically at the limit at that point. Up to 70mph it feels very comfortable. I would go for the Honda.

Very interesting but please try a large wheel scooter also :)
A large wheel scooter such as what?

I thought so it's a 🇵🇹 Portugal. Beautiful 👌🏻
i thought that was a greek island.portugal and greece look the same lol
Awesome engine. I had a new one on 2019 buy sold it due to awful cramped searing position
What were you comparing it to? I found the XMax to be one of the roomier in the class..... Heck, at least to me, it feels as roomy as the TMax.
I,m 1.9m tall and I feel ok on the xmax 300 even on the odd 500km day.
@@paulnorman8274 exactly the same here,i sat on one today and thought my knees were way too high to be comfortable for any period of time.i am 6ft 1.
You can remove the seat hump. Allows me to use the upper foot position at 186cm tall.
hi buddy, plz compare PIAGGIO BV 250 VS YAMAHA XMAX 250

I cant believe you said that the suspension is excellent!..........I own one and ITS TERRIBLE!
