I know you don't have your Del Sol anymore but I am a personal Del Sol lover myself I had four of them and I have two now just with regular engines D series though but you know what bro I'm glad that you moved on and got your S2000 it would be nice to see you but both of Del Sol as 2000 I also have a 2003 AP1
use a rounded off flap wheel. you can notch smaller tubing very easy with that. you can also use a port a band or even a cut off wheel to make notches.

The kaka industrial tubing notcher is pretty good from Amazon
Looks good dude!! An easy way for me is, cut small piece of tube (1¾)weld washer to it. Then bolt it in and notch to the new tube mounts👍

With the brace on,can it still be possible to put the top/roof on? maybe cutting some holes through the plastics where the brace bolts in to?

I do make them yes. I keep it simple and lightweight with a 1” tube and use an Skinny H design, or a Y design for head clearance
How much are those braces? i would like your second design with the two bars down the middle instead of just one. Me Del Sol needs one bad! the winshield vribrates when driving on a f u c ked up roads lol

If you haven't already, check your power/gas hose from the machine to the torch.
My first machine gave me fits, due to the hose breaking.
Are you using a flex torch?
Yeah the flex torch that came with the welder, that part of the video was filmed a few days ago. I have used the Tig since then, but haven’t done aluminum since so I can’t confirm if the problem is solved yet. I was gonna try it tomorrow
@@ChrisSadowski idk what brand it is, but theyre only supposed to move like 30°. If you over flexed it messed it up internally. If it's not a flex head (f on the side) and it got flexed then it's messed up. I think i have a good use 17 style rigid.

No, because leaving the plastics in place will drop the bar down even lower, putting you in danger
@@ChrisSadowski Late in on this...but what if I had an extra set of plastics sitting around? Could they be modded to allow the plastics to be re-attached while leaving the bar in the same place? I'm totally interested in one of these.
