I forgot to comment a few days ago😅, anyways this is may be the best video you have posted yet! Although that may just be the fact it is more a history topic. ( if you couldn't tell I love history lol ) And I think add more maps showing what Frisia/Friesland looked at the time would be helpful as most do not even know exactly what the Netherlands looks like at least over here. En haw in noflike dei!

This AI-generated video is full of hallucinations. Among the mistakes:
    * The biggest of all: there was no such thing as the Dutch-Frisian wars. The video is about a time where there was no Netherlands, just independent regions like Frisia or Holland. They were collectively sometimes known as "Dutch", so there were no Dutch-Frisian wars, like there were no British-English wars. There were Friso-Hollandic wars (as mentioned in this video), between Friesland and Holland, but they were a lot less intense and started later than than this video portrays.
    * The video mentions the Battle of Ravenswoud in 1147. This never happened. The Friso-Hollandic wars did not start until 1256. The only reference to a Battle of Ravenswoud I was able to find took place during the fictional Atmoran Unification War, mentioned in IIWiki for modern and future-tech SimFic.
    * The Battle of Ane was a real battle, between Utrecht and Drenthe. I do not think Friesland was involved, and it is not considered to be part of the Frisio-Hollandic Wars.
    * Stavoren was not besieged until 1572, so not during the middle ages that this video talks about. It was part of the war between the Dutch and the Spanish, not the Dutch and the Frisians. It was not about trade routes, but about religion. Nor was Stavoren in West-Friesland.
    * The generated images show Dutch houses from the 1600s, not the middle ages, and some are just wrong (like at 2:28, with merchant houses on a dike).

I always knew the images were off but I did not know this much of the history was also off. I really hope LearnFrisian sees this (and not just ignore it) as this is some pretty good criticism maybe slightly harsh but still valid. I truly would like to see LearnFrisian's videos evolve like how their very useful website has. Thanks for telling me about the flaws of this video I would have never known.

A little sidenote: Stavoren was also attacked by William IV of Holland on the 26th of september 1345 which is known as the Battle of Stavoren (incorrectly also known as the Battle of Warns).

enjoyable and very worthwhile. I would like to add that the Viking longships were their version of Frisian vessels (per Frisian Information Bureau, probably defunct now), and the antiquity of the Frisian people. Somebody came up with a pottery trail back to what is now the Ukraine and from that pushed the era of Frisian settlement way earlier. Needless to say we were there before the Romans arrived and still there after they left.
