i feel like the ending of the first story was the carpenters running and screaming “GHOST!” like you’d see in Scooby Doo 🤣 it’s stories like these that i hope inspire you to one day write a memoir so that your funny anecdotes live on forever. you’re sure to get interest from a publisher due to being so interesting as a performer
Oh, I got such a kick from these stories! I love the personal stories you share with us, and I know you have a full arsenal of them. I just hope you can share some more.
Incredibly humorous. I can only imagine the look of those workers faces when you emerged from the crypt. Perhaps you should have exclaimed..."Will you chaps keep it down up here?,...we are trying to sleep"...
Gosh I laughed when you said all the carpenters saw was a bloke coming out in a redcoat and musket !! I bet they legged it and screamed themselves silly. How long was it before those ladies spoke to you again ? hahahaha These two stories were priceless hahahaha Thank you for sharing them with us. 🤣👍👍
Yeah we didn't stay long as we are having such a heatwave, but it good to hear a child about 7ish tell her parents about the stones which gives hope for ppl who like history
That was LOL funny! Halloween is my favorite holiday. We never outgrow it, do we? Thank you so much for sharing your adventures with us. So glad I found your channel. There's not much to laugh about these days so when someone makes you literally laugh out loud, I consier that a blessing. Blessings to you and yours.
I loved the coming outta the trap door story! I almost peed myself laughing!!!!! I could actually see it occurring, and the poor blokes there freaking out a little at first. I’m to old for you to do that to me anymore! 😂 keep up the great videos brother! Love it. From your American brother that’s living down under!
Your stories just get better and better... I only have one really good story, even if I am a man of many stories. It's a ghost story, all true, from my late twenties. Made me rethink spirituality and the like.
Very entertaining stories Kevin - great fun! The 1st Duke of Marlborough is also a particular hero of mine and the Palace is magnificent. I attended a family wedding there some years back - a most memorable occasion.
You are the BEST story teller Mr. Hicks! I subscribed recently and have been loving watching all your videos. I really like when people are so excited about and into what they're teaching. Really draws me in! Thank you! 😊😊
Finally been through all the videos. I like the contents and length. I apreciate the medieval stuff, and also your personal stories. Would like to hear more from your service, both miliyary and as a police constable. Just had to subscribe, and look foreward to more. Keep it up!
Loved it! Well done, hope you do more like this one. I love ghostly tales. I've experienced a few happenings myself over the years. Thank you from Eastern Tennessee.
I had to listen to this one with my ear buds on cause my wife had some company over at the dining room table. Lol Kevin you got my laughing out loud and now I'm in the ole dog house. I love it. (I'm normally in there but this time ya helped )
I just found your channel and I'm so happy that I did.. I only saw 2 video so far. Fabulous storytelling, how you came up from the hidden floor hatch. And you story being a undertaker with your son.. I love old England. I love your country. Every thing. Honestly I can't wait until I get home and just watch your channel..
Re your John Churchill story, my historical heroine is Anne Boleyn, imagine how thrilled I was to be able to take part in an historical reenactment, at Hever Castle, and, at the same time have the experience of my first visit there. At the end of the working day I went to visit Hever's church where Sir Thomas, Anne's father is buried, however, I came out towards it, from behind a grave stone (in 16th century apparel), there was a gentleman standing by the gate of the church, he turned and looked at me, and must have decided he would go in another time, or perhaps he had a pressing engagement because he moved very quickly.
Oh my goodness... I'm sitting here chuckling... the family thinks I'm nuts... I'm going to practice those mischievous dark looks... utterly villainous which makes it all the more funny. Thank you Kevin I totally needed that.
Good morning! My older son made a comment and told me about the channel, so I was curious to listen the stories! Very nice and interesting the stories! Best regards from Brazil 🇧🇷
Story No. 2 ... Mr.Hicks ... you truly ARE a mean person !!! 🤣😂🤣😂😂😂🤣🤣 I love your way of telling a story... 😂👌 Many many thanks for showing and please keep up the good work 👍
Greetings once again from nova Scotia, thanks, I nearly died for laughing. I love Halloween, I usually go all out, but those poor carpenter's,they will never get over it.... my goodness, you and I would really get on. Thank you once again, best one yet, be safe and as always best regards.......Arthur
Another great Story, apoligies for not watching for a while Mr Hicks, but i m back again, thanks again for your Content Sir, Take Care Will and Elainà🇮🇲👍🇮🇲
Great stories sir. Well told. You ARE a great story teller. I could listen to you read cereal box labels and be entertained. Thank you for sharing with us. 😃
I love Halloween and the fact you were asked to do it at a historical landmark is a dream come true. I've done it for the kids of one of my friends neighborhoods for 10 years now and that was fun. To adults in a historical landmark sound like a step up. lol. Love the stories and yeah, I'd be rather shocked to see someone coming up from a trap door. Little early in the year for scary stories, but tons of enjoyment none the less. Although the cold hand on the face? Huh.....
I was laughing out loud, Kevin's storytelling has such a Jim Henson quality in it. If they ever did again the Storyteller, they should cast Kevin for the role.
Those carpenters probably had a good chuckle from you covered in dust. I hope they didn’t get you in trouble for being down there. Thanks for sharing. Pretty funny stuff.
When you mentioned the dusty tomb and the matches came up I was worried they might ignite the dust and singe your brows a bit, but the image of a dusty redcoat climbing out of a crypt has me rolling. Id love to hear any more, maybe some of the stories you said you told in the "dungeon" of Chepstow Castle?
Hey Hannah, I'm glad I had you laughing. I'll certainly be doing some more personal stories, but in the meantime, if you haven't already, check out this playlist as it has some in ruclips.net/p/PLZ5bkawra-DgKjZJtINlR5Ugc0udjVfrV

Hi Peter, Thanks. Yes, old Kit there went looking for her husband if I remember correctly and when they were reunited and left the army they opened a pub and her sabre hung above the bar 👍🏻
Im going to be replaying this every Halloween. And as you emerged from the cellar to the astonishment of the carpenters i let out a howl of laughter. Did the carpenters ever recover? 😂😂😂
That first story of yours reminded me of another one you already told on your channel before, I think from the time of The Troubles. In that story, you were hiding in a cemetery, if I'm not mistaken, and a young couple spotted you and thought you were some sort of undead. In this first story you share in this video, you probably scared the life out of those poor carpenters. You sure have a knack for scaring people on accident, and I find that hilarious.
