Cox’s Bazar is a town in Bangladesh. It is situated along the Bay of Bengal. The town, constituted a municipality in 1869, was named for Hiram Cox, who supervised the settlement there of Arakanese refugees from conquest by Myanmar. Cox's Bazar one of the most popular tourist attraction in Bangladesh, it is the longest uninterrupted sea beach in the world.
