A message for lost souls! Christ died for our sins! Are you saved in the Lord Jesus Christ? Your good works doesn't pay for your bad works, you need a 'payment' for your sins and that is Jesus Christ. You cannot do it alone, Jesus Christ paid it all for you, the only thing you have to do is 'believe' in what He did for you on the cross of Calvary. Jesus Christ is the only cure for sin, so please believe in what He did, His death, burial and resurrection - found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, saves lost souls when you truly believe from your heart. Ephesians 1:13, saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven, there is no other way. Please get saved now, time is running out!! Eph. 2:8-9 and Titus 3:5
Sorry.. I feel your pain My mom, dad and brother all don't have any desire or interest in Jesus. I very nearly rejected it too. They raised us agnostic pretty much and when I first got saved I got into the fundamental stuff real deep and they hated it. They thought I was crazy and indoctrinated. They would block access to websites and tried to tell me I was in the wrong for believing the Bible. Eventually I fell into the worldly ways for 7 years, but I pray I can still do something for God that's worthwhile
*Salvation* 1. We have all sinned Romans 3:23 2. The wages of sin is death Romans 6:23 3. Must be perfect to go to Heaven Revelations 21:27 4. Man can not earn salvation Ephesians 2-8-9 5. Christ dies for our sins 2 Corinthians 5:21 6. Only believe John 3:16, John 6:47 7. You can know you have eternal life 1 John 5:13
I first heard Dave Hunt peach against Calvinism when I got saved back in '97. Great to see that there are likeminded Christians like Ps Arnold who are still preaching against Calvinism. Calvinism makes you doubt your salvation, I went through that for a season listening to Ray Comfort, thank God the Lord led me to Ps. Ralph, to bring the scriptures to my remembrance.
Reflect and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you on Deuteronomy 30:15-20 it appears that the Lord has given free will from the beginning. “I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now CHOOSE life”...
That's amazing! Over the past year I've collected probably 40 sections of scripture that utterly destroy calvinism. I think this one just got placed in the top 3.
Wheather you a calvinst or not, one thing i have come to believe, if God did not bring me from darkness to light, there is no way i would believe in the gospel, there is no way i would repent, my human nature is incapbable of doing such a thing. I had nothing to do with my natural birth neither my spiritual birth. I dont believe im More special than people of the world who are not believers.....i am grateful that God opened my eyes to my sin and showed me that i need a saviour
How do you feel about those whom god didn’t bring from darkness?? Calvinism makes no sense. The Bible tells us we can respond and even tells us to come to the light.
@@joshfarrah Jesus christ my savior my God,born a sinner, repent you are a sinner and Jesus died on the cross for are sins and rised again to come in are heart and forgise are sins and save us,he shed his only begotten son,as a sinner ,God gets all the credit for saving my soul.
@@joshfarrah salvation is all about man..in the sense that God doesn't need it.. he gives everything for it, the rest is your choice, you don't get any credit because you were guilty and worthy of death but despite all of that his grace allowed us through faith to be saved to be the children of God... faith is not a work simply because YOU have faith, faith is you yielding the free undeserved gift by trusting in him and not yourself. God chose you: “But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth. It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 NASB1995 Salvation is from the Lord: “But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving. That which I have vowed I will pay. Salvation is from the LORD.”” Jonah 2:9 NASB1995 He does all the work: Starting with conviction which produces faith. “knowing, brethren beloved by God, His choice of you; for our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction; just as you know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.” 1 Thessalonians 1:4-5 NASB1995 Which then goes into sorrow, then repentance, then salvation: “I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, so that you might not suffer loss in anything through us. For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.” 2 Corinthians 7:9-10 NASB1995 The flesh profits nothing: “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him. And He was saying, “For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father.”” John 6:63-65 NASB1995 This is all according to His mercy and grace: “He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:5-7 NASB1995
This is the most refreshing thing I've heard in months. I am surrounded by false teachers, so I can't stress how grateful I am to hear the truths in this message. Thank you, Pastor Arnold. I am so thankful to have come across you here on RUclips.

"Not of the Will of the Flesh nor the Will of Man." My friend, just this single verse destroys "Free Will" doctrine, and Affirms Reformed Doctrine ( Calvinism). Please read Romans 12: 3 Man does not have the ability to create Faith in Christ of his own volition, by his Own Will. It is the Gift given to those whom the Lord chooses. God is not obligated to Save every one in the World. He is not obligated to Mankind at all.
@@randym.7238 Really? Why does the Bible say in 1 Timothy that "God will have all ALL men to be saved and come unto the knowledge of the truth." @@randym.7238 the first words of that sentence say “as many as received Him” - received means to “take with the hand”. You can’t just take one part of a verse and not the rest of it to prove your point an throw away every other point. As many as receive Him are given the right to become children of God. Their being born again is not of their will - but HIS - Who gives mercy to whom He wills (ie those who receive Him).
@@randym.7238 that verse does not destroy free will doctrine. Man either rejects or receives Him - God gives man that choice. For those who receive Him, He gives them the right to become children of God.
Thank you, Brother Arnold, for teaching me about tulip and what it means. For years I have listened to J McAurthur's teaching, and now I understand why it would sometimes cause me to doubt my salvation.
I heard calvinist sermons 6 months after a radical conversion from atheism and almost abandoned the Faith because I thought it through to the end and then it dawned on me. In concluded: “I thought God would love me and care for me, but God actually is a cruel monster, who treats us like toy soldiers in his self-made war.” Luckily the God of Calvinism is not the God of Jesus Christ. God doesn’t fit into a five-point acronym, neither does salvation.
I do believe the Holy Spirit tugs at our hearts and can pull us to the Father.... but I believe the Holy Spirit does that to EVERY man. The Holy Spirit goes to and fro trying to reconcile all men to God.
“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. God draws all men unto Him and He gives a measure of faith to every man, it's then up to us to decide whether to believe or not. We get to choose what if anything to place our faith in.
Revelation 22:17 And the spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Yes. The Holy Spirit engages one in order to believe for salvation. Otherwise, a man without the Holy Spirit is dead. How can a dead man give his life to Christ? At first place, he is dead and without life. It is God's own work who causes us to will to accept him.
Have you ever prayed "God please don't let this person do this" or "God please save such and such "? If so I'd say you're a hyporcit who doesn't know what they believe.
"And the spirit and the bride say, COME" isnt it all works and grace of GOd?.no one could take the living water not until the Holy Spirit and the bride say ,COME..
@@bulimosavatia3639 We "can't" seek God...? Jesus said when the Spirit comes He will convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgement. He convicts you of your sin. When you HEAR the Gospel, which is the power of God unto salvation you either choose to receive Christ, or you can reject the free offer. Incidentally, Cain sought God, (though he offered the wrong sacrifice). Cain was of the devil, yet he sought God. Paul said he served the Law of God in his mind, but with the flesh, the law of sin. Paul had the mental ability to serve the Law of God before he was saved. In ancient Israel there was a Free Will Offering. Man has free will to seek God voluntarily. Please do what I did when I heard doctrines in church I searched the Scriptures myself to see if what they said was true. We have to get beyond tradition and only believing what we are taught. Your eternal future is at stake. Do you really want to leave that future in the hands of someone else, as good or well meaning as that person might be?

Calvinism is a most devastating doctrine of the church ! How can one go out into the world and spread the Gospel, when he doesn't even know if the ones he is witnessing to, and even himself is or will be saved ? How can you pray nite and day for unsaved loved ones not knowing if your prayers will ever be answered in the affirmative? It is far more than my understanding of scriptural exegesis would allow. I am 72 years if age and have been saved since 9 years of age. Maranatha.
We don't have to know whom God will save to follow Jesus command to go make disciples. We leave that up to God. We can pray night and day for unsaved loved ones because we believe that God is the author and finisher of salvation. How can you pray for them if you don't believe that God can do anything about salvation and it's only up to man's will? We pray for them because we believe that God can save. Why do you pray to God for salvation for your loved ones if it's not up to Him?
I get amazed that Genesis opens with God giving Adam and Eve a choice to obey and to trust Him and somehow we come to the conclusion that we have no choice. Sin is choosing our will over God's will. How can one sin without freewill.
@@bobbyadkins6983 Seem to remember reading about your position before, can't remember if it was in 1st Opinions or 2nd Herecies can you point me to the passage.
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.PREACH TO EVERYONE , you condemn yourself ,psalm 23 as man thinks so is he ,
Paul preached the “gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20.24). Time and again Paul proclaimed that the gospel he preached was his gospel (Romans 2.16; 16.25; 2 Timothy 2.8; Galatians 1.11-12, 2.2). Did the Twelve not preach this gospel? The Scriptures reveal they did not-until they learned it from Paul (cf. Acts 15.1, 5, 6-11). Paul declared his gospel was, “kept secret for long ages past, but now is manifested.” Paul wrote that by revelation he went to Jerusalem to communicate the gospel he preached (Galatians 2.2). It was a “secret” until the ascended Lord revealed it to Paul and it was a secret until Paul revealed it to the Twelve. What gospel did John the Baptist, Jesus, and the Twelve proclaim? They preached the “gospel of the kingdom” (Matthew 4.23; 9.35; Mark 1.14-15). Its message was that God’s earthly kingdom, which the prophets had proclaimed throughout the Old Testament, was at hand. For it to come upon the earth required repentance and baptism. Even after the death, resurrection, and ascension of Christ, Peter continued to preach the gospel of the kingdom (Acts 2.38; 3.19-21). This was a completely different gospel than the gospel of the grace of God (Acts 20.24) that Paul preached.
Hahaha ! Everyone that tries to destroy Reformed Theology, only makes it seem more Scriptural. One parable ? How about dozens of Scriptures that support Reformed Theology. When you know that there is nothing in you that could demand any favor of Grace that God should save you by the Work of Christ His Son, then you can actually love God with a deeper more desperate love. Evangelizing now seems great not only because we are commanded to preach the Gospel to every nation and people, but because it is such a great thing that he would save anyone, including myself. The only thing l have personal responsibility in is in my Sanctification as l work with The Holy Spirit to come to Maturity in the Faith .
Typical unscriptural reply of a Platonist. Too bad it seems you don't want truth. Calvinism and Arminianism are both heresies. I used to be a Calvinist. It's much better now being a bible-believing Christian.
@@raymondsiewert2720 You should not rejoice so hastily. A quick survey of Rom 9, shows that it's not about salvation but of God's dealings with Israel regarding their rejection of God's salvation. They had all that was needed to believe (Rom 9:4-5), yet they harden their harts. It's as Jesus said : "And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah which said, "By hearing you shall hear and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see and shall not perceive; for this people's heart has become gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes, lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them." But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. " (Mat 13:14-16). And again, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to her, how often would I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you would not!" (Mat 23:37) Yes, concerning the TULIP, one can knit a few verses together in order to make them conform to a particular doctrine, but here Jesus is not invoking "election" but the "peoples choice" over "God's will". This should makes you wonder, if the TULIP's way of seeing God's sovereignty is actually God's sovereignty. In some way, Calvinist are like these Israelite, instead of questioning their belief, they constantly try to disprove all that speak different from them, including Jesus. The more they do that, the more their hearts are closed to the truth. So don't be afraid to open your hart to the possibility that Calvinism could be wrong! Fear not, for God will keep you if your quest is honest. So I would encourage you to be like the people of Berea, "And the brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. They, when they arrived, went into the synagogue of the Jews. And these were more noble than those of Thessalonica, in that they received the Word with all readiness of mind and searched the Scriptures daily to see if those things were so." (Act 17:10-11).

Very good and interesting insight on the parable, and how it debunks Calvinist theology! Only thing I disagree with, is the claim that once saved always saved; it's true that we can't do anything to earn or contribute to salvation, it's God's gift, but it is our job to keep and guard our faith (and therefore our salvation) until the end. What about those who believed and are saved, but then lose faith and reject Christ? I believe that the Bible teaches that it is a possibility, and if that happens, you lose salvation! Here some biblical passages: Heb 6:4-6, Heb 10:26-30, Col 1:21-23, 1 Tim 1:18-20, Heb 3:12-14, 2 Pet 2:20-22, Mark 13:13, Matt 24:13 Any thoughts on this issue? How can someone affirm that believers can't in any way lose faith and therefore salvation, when the Bible seems to teach otherwise?
This parable is not talking about eternal salvation this parable is talking about discipleship And following God in righteous living. This parable mentions nothing about salvation it's all about discipleship.
Thank you Dr.Yankee - God bless you and Betty ! I have been so blessed by the ministry God has given you . You have been a blessing in my life, praise the Lord.
In the first few minutes it made me realize something that makes the depraved theory wrong. Men and women go their whole lives looking for a God but they dont always accept the true God. But there is a longing that by research you can find thousands of examples. Even the atheist has a god. It's himself and or his gains but that's a master he serves. Everyone searches for a master over their lives. So some choose that God isn't the god for them and go after ones that fit their lusts but it doesn't mean he didn't reveal himself. He just allowed them to go their way because he is fair.
All the popular ones but they aren't the best. They may sound good with their swelling words but they don't rightly divide the word of truth. They preach another Jesus and another gospel.
Here is my struggle: I was saved from word of faith/ prosperity gospel heresy. I found a calvinist church and I like that they are so extremely against word of faith. I am still unsure what I feel about election, and here are the two end of the rope I am pulled by: 1) I believe all the comments about Christ saving everyone from sin, and it's our choice whether we accept that free gift of grace. but 2) I understand Calvinism saying God is totally sovereign and nothing happens outside of His will. It also says God hardened Pharos heart in Exodus. And I don't think we can take credit for our own salvation so we cannot boast. These two things seem to be in opposition. And any further thinking gives me anxiety. "Do I now understand because God doesn't will me to understand? Will I ever know the truth despite how much I may seek it? Should I give up?" and it's just totally overwhelming. So I opt to simply ignore calvinism and learn what I can from the sermons, which are truly focused on the Bible anyway, not Calvinism. I didn't even realize it was calvinist until the first few weeks I started attending. Anyway, that's where I'm at. I appreciate anyone who wants to give feedback I just hope you don't degrade me, because I am truly trying my best to understand God's truth and not what I would prefer.
@遊俠Peter Thanks for your thoughtful response, I am glad I am not the only one. It feels like poking a panic attack to try and understand this but I have copy-pasted your response into my notebook and will examine the resources you have kindly provided

@@howardmanley3388 I think, as with most things, it's not one or the other. I still have more to learn but I think we as humans have free will to choose whether we sin or accept Christ in our lives. Otherwise, we wouldn't be responsible for our own sin, which would be nonsense. But at the same time, God has decided and known who would do what. And he can change hearts to soften (as with Saul) or harden (as with Pharaoh) because of his divine sovereignty. Not that he controls us and we are puppets. I plan to do a study that my friend recommended for our small group, I'll try to remember to respond here when I get the name, but I hope it will bring more understanding, because I am a bit of a wreck. God hardened Pharoah's heart several times after Pharoah hardened his own heart. Why would God need to harden Pharoah's heart multiple times? One should be enough, right? But he wasn't hardening Pharoah's heart out of nowhere. He was hardening a heart more that was already hardened. And he did so to ensure Pharoah would continue to do what he already wanted to do anyway. By hardening Pharoah's heart it made him more resilient to the natural reaction of fear that Pharoah would have as a result of the judgment cast upon Egypt.
The "total" in "Total Depravity" intends to convey that every facet of aspect of human nature is affected by sin. Every part of our being--physical, spiritual, mind, heart, will--is affected by sin. Scripture teaches that everyone outside of Christ is enslaved to sin. Everyone in Christ is freed from its bondage.
That is not what it means, regardless of what you think. It means that none of us have any goodness at all, which is absolutely absurd. This, along with other Calvinist ideas, deprive human beings of any agency. Instead, we are presented as robots that God plays with. It's nonsense.
@@isaiahfoulidis3363 When Calvinism speaks of humans being devoid of any good, they don't mean that humans don't doing anything that humans regard as good but that even this "good" doesn't measure up to the standard of what God calls good. This sort of good was attainable by Adam and Eve prior to the fall; they could do good, the kind that measures up to God's standard. Good is connected to holiness and true righteousness, which believers are having restored through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.
It's not just "one man's opinion". He preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ. You believe and teach an accursed gospel. For some reason, you think the gospel was hid until the 1500's. What a joke.Your demonic manmade doctrine won't wipe out _thousands_ of years of the truth.
Agreed. I doubt he'll be debating MacArthur anytime soon. Most of the commenters quote their favorite "Arminian" scripture and that's about the extent of their knowledge. This sermon is a serious over-simplification of Calvinist doctrine. They'd be lost as geese listening to Sproul.

It is interesting how Calvinists pick and choose from John 6 what they will believe and what they will reject. Calvinists insist that John 6: 37 is a literal and direct statement. However, they dismiss John 6: 53-56 as non-literal. The whole context is the Bread of Life Discourse. In John 6: 35-36 Jesus says, "I am the bread of life: whoever comes to me will never hunger and whoever believes in me will never thirst. But I have told you that although you have seen Me, you do not believe." Jesus is speaking to the Jewish leaders, the disciples, and others of His day. Some of them believed but many of them did not. Calvinists are reading a particular theology of predestination or "election" into this passage. This theology was condemned by the Church under the title of "Jansenism" in the 17th century in France. Jesus does not discount either predestination or the free choice of man (synergism) in the act of believing.
This is an older video, so not sure if this will be seen but I would like to say... I came across your video and really enjoyed your teaching on the different soil types... I thought it was spot on. I had trouble with the once saved always saved. From what the Lord has reveled to me through his word is that there is an unpardonable sin, and like you said I believe the bible. I believe that our faith is a relationship not a religion, and just like a marriage relationship, it's forever... or it's suppose to be, just like our salvation. But because we live in a fallen world we make choices, ones that destroy, we can choose to turn our back on God and destroy our relationship with Him. Just like we can be married, then get divorced, and when we stand before God and he says get outta here I never knew you, that's exactly how I see it when you have a marriage that breaks apart... you feel like you never knew them.
Isn't that Calvinism light, where God makes you believe or not believe in Calvinism. OSAS manmade doctrine Means God makes you stay save, even against your will? So in the last days there is supposed to be a falling away from the faith, meaning they were in the faith. Calvinism says if you fall away from the faith, then you were never save to begin with. OSAS manmade doctrine, sounds exactly the same? What scriptures did this doctrine come from, and when was it introduced to the church?

Mike Winger also has a great breakdown of why, at best, Calvinism is not supported by Scripture. Calvinists are not the unbelieving pagan world though. However, they still believe The Jesus of the Bible is God Incarnate sent to atone for our sins, unlike many modern professing Christians.
I'm listening from New Zealand too. I've been attending a church that talks about J.M and john calvin a bit in their sermons. Is it wrong to attend??? Thanks for your teaching from this channel. Im not a Calvinism person by any means. Charles lawson Knoxville Tennessee is a great teacher.
This was great. Thank you for sharing your discernment. I am just so confused how such a smart man such as John MacArthur can so ardently believe what he does. That remains a mystery to me.
@@michaelwarrell5479 this is why we must follow Jesus Christ only through the Holy Spirit and not men. Man has no knowledge compared to God. All can be fooled without the Holy Spirit.
If I were to take a guess I would say it has to do with the heart. We see MacArthur is a smart guy but we can't see the heart, but god knows the heart. The heart is something God speaks about a lot but it's not something we ponder much with us being indoctrinated to emphasize the mind. This parable even speaks to that with verse in matt 13:18 "When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his HEART. This is he which received seed by the way side". You can see that the seed is sown in the heart not the mind. Even Yankee didn't catch this in this sermon.
John Macarthur believes the Bible. This heretic worships himself. 1 Corinthians 1:26 “For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:”
Because God hides these things from the wise and prudent and revelas them unto babes is what just came to my mind. Did you ever notice that many of the educated think they are better ?....
On a John MacArthur website the calvinist don't like it when non-calvinist come on their pages and yet I find them over here on this page arguing? You know they're searching for the truth of the real gospel.
"Choose this day whom you shall serve". John 3:16, seen at every football game lays the foundation of grace."That Whosoever would believe would not perish but have eternal life"...But 17-20 lay down the actual predication's of that grace. 17 "and those who don't believe are condemned already (born dead in their sins) because they have rejected the only way by which a man must be saved, ..and this is the judgment, THAT MEN LOVED THE DARKNESS RATHER THAN THE LIGHT BECAUSE THE THINGS THEY CHOSE TO DO WERE EVIL. Every bit of this from 16 on is choice driven...our choice to love the world which is enmity with God, or reject it by choice, taking every thought captive to bring it to the obedience of Christ. John the Baptist said that we must make the choice to "make our paths straight " In Revelation 2 and 3, Jesus laments that He gave them time to repent (the choice to)but they did not...choosing instead the ways of immoral Jezebel and Balaam. He warned He would remove their lampstand and names form the book of life if they did not change their hearts and repent And then again giving the warning involving choice He says, Repent and do as you did in the beginning or else. Paul gave the man caught in sin in 1 Corinthians over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh FOR THE SALVATION OF HIS SOUL...and then in 2nd Corinthians he orders them to take him back because he humbled himself and changed his mind and repented...such good news. Did God foreknow this? YES....but it was the choice of the man to repent or not. The blueprint of choice is Psalm 51...David is busted and broken in His sin...HUMBLED.."Oh God if you desired sacrifices (Bulls and lambs) for my sin I would give it...the sacrifice you want from me is a broken and contrite heart, that alone you will not despise." Does God draw people to Himself...YES. But in the context of humility... "The eyes of the Lord look to and from on the earth seeking to enable and strengthen those whose hearts are turned truly towards Him." 2 Chron. !6 When we humble ourselves and and turn from our sins in repentance He draws us to Himself and walking by the Holy Spirit in the word we take up our cross daily and persevere. 1 2 and 3 John....In this we know that we love God and abide in HIm, IF WE OBEY HIS COMMANDS...Those who practice sin are of the devil, those who practice righteousness are of God." Jesus said "IF" you would be my disciple, take up your cross daily(everyday) and follow me". The choice to reject the sin He came to die for making us perfect by His life lived without sin in exchange for our rejecting those sins ..not works, repentance. ALL A CHOICE FOR ALL MEN...for the Joy set before Him that He came to die for all men, whosoever would have ears to hear and eyes to see and not just coming for the loaves and fishes.
i think the condescending attitude of the calvinist response to anyone who follows the Bible rather than their doctrine attests to the condition of their heart and spirit of their fruit. for the calvinist who think none else except calvinist are saved, thats fine, but for the ones who lie to themselves and claim that non-calvinists can be saved (despite not believing the "true" calvinist gospel): why are you addressing your brethren in such an evil way? we are commanded to edify, ehort and comfort one another and that our words be with grace and seasoned with salt. your blantant disrespectful regard towards non-calvinists is deliberate and prideful disobedience to the Word. if the fruit of calvinists was even slightly better, it would be much easier to be deceived into their doctrine, but being that you have to push through the hardened hearts, blunt words, evil-spiritedness, meanness and arrogance, it makes sense that it takes so many people years to subject themselves to the doctrine. If nothing about your character resembles Christ, we shouldnt even give their ideology a chance to begin with.
@@danielomitted1867 should we close our eyes and pretend calvinists aren't like that? If you think it's mean to tell a pig that he's a pig, you're ridiculous. They have "safe spaces" for people like that.
My dear friend, I hope the holy spirit moves your heart to a place where you can say this topic is deep and the tension we feel through scripture should compel us seek God deeper but also to lovingly disagree with a fellow believer. I spent 20 years as a non Calvinist and the past 3 years God has laid these truths on my heart. The truth is the condescending attitude goes both ways but we should separate the doctrine one believes from the person because we are all flawed. I think it to be grossly deceiving and ignorant to represent Calvinism as this pastor has. Also, the argumentation that “we don’t believe that here, we believe the Bible” is very loaded. The Bible shows very clearly God is sovereignty, his choosing, his election, his predestination. My encouragement to you would be to examine Calvinist beliefs from someone who is actually a Calvinist. I’d recommend John Piper he has ample amount of content on RUclips. Then, I’d encourage you to examine scripture especially the ones that are hard and pray for God’s understanding of scripture and then look at commentaries from respected people from both sides. Calvinists do not say they are the only ones saved. Why argue then is because we want our brothers and sisters to give God the glory that is due. Truthfully non Calvinist doctrine lifts up man and his ability while Calvinist give the glory and power solely to God.
@@Mattman4god i would encourage you to show me even one place where any Gentile is "elect". When you realize you can't, you'll have to choose one of two options. Either the New Testament and it's purpose are both worthless, or calvinism is false.
@FrenchToast Stealer This is a great testimony! And it's great you found this wonderful pastor Arnold. So many are feeling just like you did, believing that it also takes good works to get saved. False gospels are preached all around and it seems to get worse. The devil is eager to hold people away from God's truth. Especially Calvinism and Arminianism are so tricky and put a heavy yoke on believers of this heresy. It is so crucial to hold tight to the truth given to us by God the Father and Jesus Christ and to stay away from false teachers even if some of what they preach may sound true and biblical. That's the trap. Sure, no one besides Christ is perfect and has all the knowledge, but with the help of the Holy Spirit and God's Word we have guidance and light to recognize whether what they say is in line with God's Word or not really. Well I'll say good night for now, it's near midnight over here and I have to get up again early tomorrow. Til later, and God bless you. 🙏🤗

@FrenchToast Stealer thank you but see I guess Pastor Arnold has a busy schedule and probably no need or wish for dealing with a Swiss woman he doesn't even know 😉. Besides, he's my brother in Christ, so I'm actually connected to him spiritually and we'll meet in Heaven one day 🙏 He's a great and blessed Pastor who I deeply respect and enjoy his sermons but he ain't kind of star to me. I keep my focus on Jesus Christ, and also Pastor Arnold points out to Him. He is humble and not that kind of preacher seeking popularity or kudos, so I guess he wouldn't answer such a request know what I mean 😎
Excellent message!!! Really opened my eyes to Calvinism. However, I am puzzled on the types of ground. If three of the four are saved, aren't you saying that 75% of people will be saved? "Few there be that find it."
If every person has freewill given by God, Christ died in vain. For with a freewill from God a person could live a life perfect to the law. Rightness comes by living to the law.
@@BiblicalTeachings Sigh... wow. You got it backwards. The advice you give me, is the same I would say for you: Read the Bible again. There maybe no convincing you, unless God himself changes your heart. Your will is stubborn, some would say not free 🤣 With that we part ways. Both having read the bible, both have different conclusions on the matter. Shocking I know.
As brothers in Christ, I respectfully disagree. I thought this was detroying calvanisim but he keeps saying things like "no matter how hard you explain it some people will believe and some will not belive" That is determinism. reading a verse and saying that it is free will without backing it up doesn't make it so. Again, "the soil is determined by the mind of the man." So, who/what determines the mind of man? The One who created every atom and put them into place, including determining the order of the neurons in your brain which create thought, who your mother is, your ethinicity and personality etc, it's not random or by chance. By this interepretation all soil starts as "good" soil and CAN grow the seed yet the state of the soil is determined by... the soil? I would love some clarification if I'm missing someting. What is God's ultimate goal in the universe (salvation of ALL people or His own glory)? Can you thrawt God's will? Can an omnicient, omnipotent being allow something against their own will?
You've fallen into a trap. I'm going to respond to the last section first: "Can an omni[s]cient, omnipotent being allow something against their own will?" Yes. God created beings with free will, and there's no reason to suppose He could not have done that. If we did not have free will, we could not be held responsible for anything we do. There is no way to get around that point. If God simply controls us, then we are not real beings but mere extensions of Him, or are not responsible for anything we do. The Bible makes it very clear that neither situation is true. Please also note that our "depravity" would mean nothing. We would have nothing to apologise for, because we would in fact not even be moral agents at all. Our free will would be an illusion. As for the first part: You are injecting determinism into the situation. What you are describing are contributing factors, not determining factors. What you are excluding is the choice every person has. Not even believing in your own ability to choose (which you clearly experience every time you decide whether to go to the bathroom now or a while later) is a rather dangerous thing.
Same reason God put the tree of knowledge in the Garden. To give us the choice to obey or rebel. He always gives us the choice. Always with clear cut instruction to obey and the consequences for rebellion.
We as sinful humans constantly base the validity or authenticity of something on feelings rather than Gods revealed truth. Part of trusting in God is not knowing why He chose you and didn’t choose somebody else. His will and wisdom are perfect and ours is broken and fallible that’s why we cling to the Word. “You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.” John 15:16 NASB1995 God does not contradict himself and it seems like what He is saying here is pretty clear and directed to His disciples. Blessings
Thank you that verse is very clear and your statement about him choosing His disciples to go and bear fruit and that that fruit will remain because each one Won to Christ has eternal life but this is not Christ choosing who to save but who to serve read it again and you will see God and his sovereignty has chosen to save all who choose to be saved God also chooses all of his children to serve him but that does not mean that they will because they must make the choice to be obedient or disobedient thank you and have a good day. I find it hilarious that this guy calls out Calvinism for having unbiblical teaching on salvation and takes apart their "tulip" only to then go down the rabbit hole of "once saved, always saved" fallasy. This is not what Scripture teaches also. Saving Grace is a free gift but it can be rejected at any time if we return to sin willingly. This is why every christian must repeant daily to maintain the salvation we were given. Bible teaches CHRISTIANS to confess their sins to God. And it should really be obvious, I mean how in the world the daily prayer Jesus taught us: "forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive" makes any sense, if we have no need of repentance once we are saved that one time? This is so, so simple. How are christian churches struggling with this is beyond me.
When someone prays to God for a family member then all of a sudden we are all Calvinist because we are asking God to save a family member. If you pray telling God that a family member turns away from a lifestyle and to believe in him God would still need to make the move.
Please Pastor explain Romans chapter 9 - your reading out chapter 1 clearly explains why man is guilty of not knowing God - a person can only exercise their will according to their nature so you would also have to teach against the doctrine of regeneration- good luck
One big problem with arminian heretics is their self righteousness. They think they chose to be saved. Think for a second how that will play out. You will show up with the unbelievers on judgement day patting themselves on the back for making good choices! John 15:16 “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” Was Paul looking for Jesus on the road to Damascus?

When the requirement for personal choice of Jesus as Savior is negated, then the cross He died on is of no affect, then Jesus doesn’t really matter at all and the church has no mission. I don't think God appreciates anyone denying the Gospel of Jesus' death on the cross, as He gave His life for all of us who come to him by faith. Thank You, Father. Thank You, Jesus, for being our Perfect Sacrifice for sin once and for all. I love You.
God says go to all the world and preach the gospel because it is through the gospel that God calls people and tells them to just believe that what he did for them. When you believe it, you have eternal life. Every creature means that God did not choose just certain ones and reject others but they he loves all I want all to be saved. So we continually preach the gospel; read second Thessalonians chapter 2 verse 14 god calls through the gospel that’s how he draws through that message of free salvation. Yankee

He knows everything - but that's not the point of John 6:37. John continues, "no one CAN come to me unless it is granted him by the Father." (6:65). It is a question of ability - not foresight. The unbeliever, according to Jesus, CANNOT come to Christ, "unless it is granted him by the Father".
Scott Campbell *Calvinists and Arminians are both self righteous unbelievers! Neither believe God will actually save an ungodly sinner!* Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the *ungodly,* his faith is counted for righteousness. *His faith is counted for righteousness even though he is an ungodly sinner!* Both systems demand actual godliness in some form or another, from the sinner for salvation. They demand a form of Godliness but deny the power of Jesus' Blood to save the ungodly. Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the *UNGODLY,* his faith is counted for righteousness.
Well... I completely disagree with you. The Calvinist/Arminian debate is not over "if" God saves an ungodly sinner - but "how" he does it. Both camps believe he does.
I'm fairly certain the doctrine has long been established with evidence through the Bible, and he is merely highlighting how one parable happens to display the already established understanding
The Satanic doctrine of Calvinism originated from Augustine of Hippo who is also the father of Roman Catholicism. All 5 points of the Calvinistic "tulip" are found in Augustine's "City of God" writings. Calvin ardently admired Augustine and refined his false teachings in his own writings. The whole system of Calvinism is indeed NOT based on the Bible, but based upon the philosophical presuppositions of men in the following false teachings: 1) John Calvin's "institutes of the christian religion" 2) The "canons of dort" 3) The "westminster confession of faith" 4) The "london confession of faith" 5) The "lambeth articles" 6) Augustine's "city of god" writings 7) The "tulip" Colossians 2:8 - Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
It's no surprise that Augustine is called, "the greatest theologian of the first millennium of church history." And no surprise that the Biblical doctrine of election was also recovered during the reformation. If you call yourself a Protestant - then you count yourself among those who left Catholicism - Tyndale, Luther, Calvin, Cranmer, Knox, Latimer and others. They were firmly committed to the doctrine of "Sola Scriptura" - and in those Scriptures they recovered the reformed doctrines lost in Roman heresy. The doctrines of the reformation did not come from the City of God - they came from the Scriptures. Even a casual student of the Reformation knows this.

Computers: I used to build (create) computers. I would intentionally build 1 that worked and 2 or 3 that didn't so that everyone would see what a good computer builder I am. Computers have to do exactly what you program them to do. The nonworking ones brought me as much pleasure and glory as the working ones. I destroyed the non working computers. It was their fault for not working even though I made them that way. Nothing is more satisfying than destroying something you built to fail and not work. I am currently working on an AI (artificial intelligence) model that can think and act independently. If I succeed I will no longer be considered a brilliant computer creator.
Calvinism is a lie from the devil. Stop being deceived. On a side note, AI still uses the materials God put here for us to use. Also if you create AI to act independently you would be considered even more of a brilliant creator of AI because you gave it autonomy. However, you are still the creation of God and everything on the earth is the creation of God. You will never be above God. Romans 1:18-32 For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which was known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shown it unto them. For the invisible things from him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise they became fools, And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than Creator who is blessed forever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did exchange the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves the recompense of their error which was meet (due). And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Calvinism is heresy. 1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all. God did not make anyone for eternal damnation. Calvinists can’t see the error in their doctrine. Calvinism is wicked. People are too easy on Calvinist doctrine.
Not a fan of his use of the word Light as I am very wary of Illuminists, but I get his point. I think he should amend his language from Light to Truth, and then rerecord the sermon to avoid confusion with Freemasonry.
Faith comes before regeneration. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, *by the word of God* which liveth and abideth for ever. {1 Peter 1:23} In whom also we [Ephesians] have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated *according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will* That we [Christ Apostles] should be to the praise of his glory, *who first trusted in Christ* In whom ye also trusted, *after* that ye *heard the word of truth* the gospel of your salvation: in whom also *after that ye believed* ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. {Ephesians 1:11-14}
So many misunderstand predestination. It simply means when we trust Jesus as our savior we are predestinated to be raised at the resurrection when we will be conformed to His image. We shall be like Him. Ephesians 1:13 says, when we trust Jesus as our savior we are given the Holy Spirit who is our righteousness and eternal life. John 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent me, that all that seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, MAY HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, AND I WILL RAISE HIM UP ON THE LAST DAY. Second Timothy 2:2 God is not willing that any should perish, but all should come unto the knowledge of the truth. First Corinthians 15:1-4 And Ephesians 2:8-9 AMAZING GRACE, JESUS PAID IT ALL AND WE PAID 0. Romans 11:6 It is free
Sorry - that is not what predestination means. And you don't even need the Greek to grasp it - the English etymology of the word makes it clear. "Pre" = before in time. "Destination" = where you end up. Predestination means your destination/where you end up is pre-determined before hand.
We are predestined to be raised at the resurrection for all who believe the gospel. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace ye are saved, (how) through faith, and that not of yourselves, (we did nothing for it,) it is the GIFT of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. Notice, faith is not a work, or it could not be used in that same sentence. It is faith without works. Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; (First Corinthians 15:1-4) in whom also AFTER ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise. Notice, we are not regenerated by the Holy Spirit until we believe the gospel. Not before. But once we believe we are sealed by the Holy Spirit unto to the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30. Predestined to be raised at the resurrection. John 5:24 We have already passed from death unto life. We can no longer be condemned. John 3:18. Hebrews 13:5 says, the Spirit will never leave us or forsake us. Second Timothy 2:19 Say the Lord knoweth them that are HIs because they have HIs Spirit in them. Romans 8-9 say, without the Spirit there is no salvation. How do we get the Spirit? John 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent me, that all that seeth the Son and believeth on Him, may have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. We have to believe the gospel to receive the Holy Spirit by faith alone. Acts 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how He said. John indeed baptized with water but ye shall be baptized by the Holy Spirit. Faith comes from hearing, hearing by the word of God.
Jim.. "In whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,.." Faith is a gift...."Blind can now see"....
It is faith without works. Faith is not a work. We have to believe the gospel to be saved. First John 2:2 For He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world. But only to those that believe it. Romans 1:16 It is to everyone that BELIVETh, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. First Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved and come unto the knowledge of the truth. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, (everybody) that He gave His only begotten Son, (Jesus) that WHOSOEVER. (anybody) BELIEVETH in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. We are not given the Holy Spirit until we believe the gospel, First Corinthians 15:1-4. Then we are predestined to be raised at the resurrection because we have believed. First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know ye have eternal life. We have to believe to receive the free gift. John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He Power to become the Children of God, even to them that BELIEVE on His name. Faith is required for salvation by grace. Faith cometh from hearing, hearing for the word of God. Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith, apart from the deeds of the Law. No one was ever saved during the church age without believing the Gospel. First Corinthians 15:1-4 John 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent me, that all that seeth the Son, and BEIEVETH on Him, may have eternal life, and I will raise Him up on the last day. After we believe we are chosen IN HIM, before the foundation of the world. We were not chosen to be saved. After we believe we are predestinated to be raised at the resurrection. If you are trusting in the fact that you were chosen to be saved, then you are trusting in the wrong thing, and not on Jesus blood sacrifice for all your sins. It is not our faith that saves us, but the object of our faith, That Christ died for our sins. When we believe the evidence we are saved because we believe what Jesus said. John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that BELIEVETH on me HATH ETERNAL LIFE. We are to believe what the bible says and not men. Calvinism, Arminianism, and Lordship salvation are not the bible but doctrines made up by men. Bible believers believe what the bible says.
If limited atonement were true, then John 3:16 is not true. Jesus said He draws all men to be saved. God wants all men to be saved, Satan wants all men to go to hell. First Corinthians 15:3-4 is the gospel we must believe to be saved. Galatians 1:7-9 Though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let them be accursed, As we said before, so say I again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let Him be accursed. There is only one gospel that we must believe to be saved. And our faith has to come from us and not from the savior. God has made the way of salvation by faith, but we have to believe it to be saved. We are not chosen to believe. Every one has a measure of faith. Atheist believe their is no God, That is what they believe. We believe Jesus died for our sins, and we are counted righteous by faith alone, Romans 4:5 and Romans 11:6
Though Calvinism has it's flaws the Parable of the Sower does not destroy Calvinism... The Lord Himself when asked why he spoke in parables said because some might understand and be saved.... clearly there is such a doctrine known as Divine Election... Every saved person is the result of a sovereign act of the Almighty... The fallen, unrepentant nature of man shuns the light of the Gospel... It is the Holy Spirit that convicts the heart of the sinner and the Grace of God enables that sinner to repent and believe... The author and finisher of our faith is God... He granted the sinner the grace to believe and will see His elect conformed to the image of the Son. This is the work of the Holy Spirit. To present us blameless before the Throne in answer to the Priestly prayer of the Lord in John 17 ... The redeemed though the ages are called the chosen for a reason... we were chosen by the Father to be given to the Son. No one can come to the Father but by the Son and no one can come to the Son unless the Father allows it. Shalom and Maranatha!!
Maybe if you listened to the entire presentation, you could not have came to this conclusion? Or maybe you are like one of those who Yankee was talking about who do not want to hear it?
Listened to the whole thing .... my position remains the same .. Even mentioning about "given light" or ones "mind", who created one's mind or determined one's level of intelligence? God? Indeed. Who gives light and understanding? God? Indeed. Even Peter when He correctly identified Jesus as the Christ was told by Jesus his understanding did not come from his own natural discernment. It came from the Father.
Hmmm, very monergistic, and very the doctrines of Calvin. You rightly assume, one is drawn by the Father, but negate, that Christ when lifted up, drew all men unto Him. The Holy Ghost convicts/reproves the world (unsaved) of sin, and that sin being unbelief, but by no means, does He, the Holy ghost force belief upon a man. That, whether you, Calvin, and or any man likes it or not, is via any said mans volition, being drawn and convinced of the truth in regard to salvation, and the need thereof....
Not going to go tit for tat endlessly so this will be my only rebuttal ... First, I assumed nothing... What I posted is scriptural... When one goes to the Greek and Hebrew one will see the terminology used by the word "draw" means as if by a net. As one "draws" or "drags" fish into the boat or onto the beach. In the case of the sinner the Father "draws" the sinner from the grave of sin. All are DEAD in trespasses and sin. The fallen nature can no more respond to the Gospel than Lazarus could respond to the Lord's command to come forth of himself. He was dead and only walked out of that tomb after He who is the Resurrection and The Life raised him from the dead. So it is with All unregenerated lost souls ... being evil, we all shunned the light of the Gospel .. we'd all prefer to remain in darkness ... but by His Grace we were drawn out of sin and given the gift of salvation by taking that step of faith. Faith that God gave us. As Paul clearly taught from the Psalms, there are none who seek God, not even one. When I step through the veil I will fall to my face knowing it is only by His mercy and His Grace that I was called and with the faith HE gave me I (free will) believed on the risen Savior. It is ALL HIS work and by HIS faithfulness, not mine, I will stand before Him. Washed in the blood of the Lamb. Shalom.
It's interesting that in Mark 4 Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground. He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; he knows not how. The earth produces BY ITSELF, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear." The process is "αὐτόματος" - automatos in the Greek. When the seed hits the right soil (of the elect) - results are automatic. Far from destroying Calvinism, I would argue that Jesus' parables about soil & seeds affirm it.
I thought the parable of the sower is talking about the heart and the only soil that are the saved is the good soil. It does not say that all of the souls are the saved. So I’m confused. Anyway, regardless I do agree with you that Calvinism is not true.
I was an Arminian believer and the lord revealed the doctrines of grace to me and I became a Calvinist. I am kept by the power of God unto salvation. I am not a follower of Calvin. Ptl.
Hi Robert, I’m always interested those who are persuaded by Calvinism. Many Calvinists believe they can’t know for certain if they are truly saved and whether they will persevere to the end. What’s your take? Are you 100% certain without a doubt going to heaven regardless of your works? Thanks in advance if you choose to respond. God bless.
Hi Gary I'm glad to hear from you. I've been a Christian for 40 years and have grown in Grace and in the knowledge of the Lord. He has given me the grace of the doctrines in my heart through the tribulation he has put me through. There are degrees of assurance. God recently enhanced mine by showing me that I'm in Christ that all my sins past present and future are all forgiven. If one's Christianity isn't supernatural then it's not Christianity. God bless.
If calvinist was true then Judas would be in heaven. But he is not because he chooses out of his own free will too not believe Jesus Christ. And Judas was chosen
I do believe that God saved me trough the sacrifice of is Son Jesus-Christ. What is the most wonderfull in that, He himself by his own will gaved me faith to believe his grace toward me in his Son Jesus. The only thing I deserves will always be His wrate but He gaved me grace to believe in His grace that I might be saved and have eternal life in Jesus alone not by any kind of work I might have done. God is sovereign in all things. Glory to Him alone!
Patrick Robitaille You’ve been conditioned by teachers to think that way and to understand scripture through that lens. If you pay attention to the context you’d see things differently. Why don’t you define “sovereign” for me so I know what it is you believe. Thanks and God bless
@@evanu6579 God's sovereignty is so high that He lords everything, He is in controlled and He controlled everything. Nothing can resist Him. He as the free will to do everything the way He wants without any opposition. That's why we can trust Him entirely because nothing will change His will. By the way, I'm not calvinist. I have the same point of vue about the elections of the believers that is only by the grace of God. The Word of God cannot contradict itself. And we cannot change the definition of a word to make it fit in our understanding of the Word of God. So to understand the context of a verse you have to make it sure it doesn't contradict the rest of the Scriptures. But what is the most important when preach, it's not to try to destroy another teaching, but it's to preach Christ and Him crucified. I know with some brothers in Christ, it's hard to accept that point of vue. But It as been written for the edification of the believers that we may not be discouraged because it is God who is in controlled of our salvation not us. And their is nothing that can separate us from Him. (Romans 8.35-39) God bless you and Merry Christmas
Patrick Robitaille But if God is controlling everything then that would include our thoughts and emotions. You can’t trust God and His Word unless God controls you to do so. You’d have to conclude that some Christians can’t accept the doctrines of Grace because that’s the way that God is controlling them to think. Every thought good or evil is from God. Every deed good or evil is God. The words that I’m typing to you are from God and are as much from Him as the bible is. Why do you trust the bible over what I’m typing to you? Are they both written by God through man’s hand?
@@evanu6579 Their is a lot of things that man cannot comprehend. And the ways of God are above our comprehension. In the sovereignty of God, He gave us free will of tough. But that free will that we have, we cannot cross the boundaries that God gave us. We are all born in rebellion against God. And we cannot choose God from our will because we are born dead spiritually. Also, we don't have the free will to do everything we want. It's impossible because we are not in control of everything. God aloud us to do certain things that He might be glorified in His jugement or in His grace. Read Romans 9.8-23 and you will understand the sovereignty of God and the responsability of men toward Him. Do you believe that now their is no more condamnation for you? I hope so. Because it's more important then to understand intellectually the sovereignty of God. Is Christ had your unrighteousness on the cross and do you have His righteousness in your life?

Sorry.. I feel your pain
My mom, dad and brother all don't have any desire or interest in Jesus.

How does it make you doubt?
Reflect and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you on Deuteronomy 30:15-20 it appears that the Lord has given free will from the beginning. “I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now CHOOSE life”...
Yes
Scriptures are so plain and clear God gave us free will.
ItIs Well PRAISE JESUS!
yeaf free to choose the gift of salvation o not...
That's amazing! Over the past year I've collected probably 40 sections of scripture that utterly destroy calvinism. I think this one just got placed in the top 3.
“Tulip the flower that God hates” love it! 😂
Indeed, perhaps better called the Devil's flower in this case
Wheather you a calvinst or not, one thing i have come to believe, if God did not bring me from darkness to light, there is no way i would believe in the gospel, there is no way i would repent, my human nature is incapbable of doing such a thing. I had nothing to do with my natural birth neither my spiritual birth. I dont believe im
More special than people of the world who are not believers.....i am grateful that God opened my eyes to my sin and showed me that i need a saviour
How do you feel about those whom god didn’t bring from darkness??
Calvinism makes no sense. The Bible tells us we can respond and even tells us to come to the light.

God chose you:
“But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth. It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Salvation is from the Lord:
“But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving. That which I have vowed I will pay. Salvation is from the LORD.””
Jonah 2:9 NASB1995
He does all the work:
Starting with conviction which produces faith.
“knowing, brethren beloved by God, His choice of you; for our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction; just as you know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.”
1 Thessalonians 1:4-5 NASB1995
Which then goes into sorrow, then repentance, then salvation:
“I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, so that you might not suffer loss in anything through us. For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.”
2 Corinthians 7:9-10 NASB1995
The flesh profits nothing:
“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him. And He was saying, “For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father.””
John 6:63-65 NASB1995
This is all according to His mercy and grace:
“He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”

Danny Murdach calvinism exalts God as the Sovereign in anyone’s salvation. Arminians exalts man as being the reason of his own salvation.
“He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, BUT OF GOD.”

The Spirit, Jesus said would convict the world of sin.
He doesn't tug. That is nowhere I can find.

Calvinism is a most devastating doctrine of the church ! How can one go out into the world and spread the Gospel, when he doesn't even know if the ones he is witnessing to, and even himself is or will be saved ? I am 72 years if age and have been saved since 9 years of age. Maranatha.
We don't have to know whom God will save to follow Jesus command to go make disciples. We leave that up to God. We can pray night and day for unsaved loved ones because we believe that God is the author and finisher of salvation. How can you pray for them if you don't believe that God can do anything about salvation and it's only up to man's will? We pray for them because we believe that God can save. Why do you pray to God for salvation for your loved ones if it's not up to Him?

And again, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to her, how often would I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you would not!" (Mat 23:37)
Yes, concerning the TULIP, one can knit a few verses together in order to make them conform to a particular doctrine, but here Jesus is not invoking "election" but the "peoples choice" over "God's will".
Great message sir! Excellent exposition of the parable of the sower. I never connected it with “calvinism” before.
That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.
Blessings Dr. Ralph Arnold from Italy...just started to tune in....
Here some biblical passages: Heb 6:4-6, Heb 10:26-30, Col 1:21-23, 1 Tim 1:18-20, Heb 3:12-14, 2 Pet 2:20-22, Mark 13:13, Matt 24:13
Any thoughts on this issue? How can someone affirm that believers can't in any way lose faith and therefore salvation, when the Bible seems to teach otherwise?

In the first few minutes it made me realize something that makes the depraved theory wrong. Men and women go their whole lives looking for a God but they dont always accept the true God. But there is a longing that by research you can find thousands of examples. Even the atheist has a god. It's himself and or his gains but that's a master he serves. Everyone searches for a master over their lives. So some choose that God isn't the god for them and go after ones that fit their lusts but it doesn't mean he didn't reveal himself. He just allowed them to go their way because he is fair.
All the best preachers seem to be calvinists for some reason. This was a breath of fresh air. Thank you.

Ty Lord for a man that still opens a physical bible,u should take a picture folks cause it’s getting rarer and rarer ,eventually it won’t be.

Jesus does not discount either predestination or the free choice of man (synergism) in the act of believing.
of course if you are a Roman Catholic you wouldn't believe this doctrine

The choice to reject the sin He came to die for making us perfect by His life lived without sin in exchange for our rejecting those sins
..not works, repentance.

There maybe no convincing you, unless God himself changes your heart. Your will is stubborn, some would say not free 🤣
With that we part ways. Both having read the bible, both have different conclusions on the matter. Shocking I know.
Thank You Pastor Arnold!
Some believe, some will not.
How in God's name is that determinism?
Some like Pepsi, some don't.
That means the cola God controls everything. Lol
I find it hard to believe that people live a long time and not want a home to go to when they breathe their last breath that puzzles me

We as sinful humans constantly base the validity or authenticity of something on feelings rather than Gods revealed truth. God does not contradict himself and it seems like what He is saying here is pretty clear and directed to His disciples.
@@YankeeArnoldMinistries I’m curious how you came to that conclusion. I don’t like coming on the internet to argue, but to warn others of false doctrine and bad theology, and to boast in the Lord, to Him be the glory.
“because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,”

Please explain how we chose God while we were enemies of Him, was it not Christ who died for us while we were yet SINNERS out of His love for us? How can you have grace if you are able to boast in your ability to choose God, to choose God would be to do something righteous and the Bible tells us,
“as it is written, “There is none righteous, not even one; There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for God; All have turned aside, together they have become useless; There is none who does good, There is not even one.””

Could these people have believed had they not been hardened?
The Gooberment-Sucks being “totally deprived from birth” is identical to God hardening their heart, because God has predetermined everything.
The doctrine of total depravity teaches that man CANNOT choose rightly. After all, he's TOTALLY depraved, a dead man walking.

Calvinism is destroyed by a parable, praise the LORD Jesus Christ!
But Salvation isn't by works...
Osas is true.
I'm ephesians it says we are sealed with the Holy Spirit, a guarantee of eternal life to come
God said it, I didnt🙂
When someone prays to God for a family member then all of a sudden we are all Calvinist because we are asking God to save a family member. If you pray telling God that a family member turns away from a lifestyle and to believe in him God would still need to make the move.
But his move to influence those we pray for could be the result of the influence our prayer had on God. Yankee

When the requirement for personal choice of Jesus as Savior is negated, then the cross He died on is of no affect, then Jesus doesn’t really matter at all and the church has no mission.
Any religion, philosophy, theology or doctrine that doesn’t have Jesus at the center and complete substance is of the devil.
I don't think God appreciates anyone denying the Gospel of Jesus' death on the cross, as He gave His life for all of us who come to him by faith. Thank You, Father. Thank You, Jesus, for being our Perfect Sacrifice for sin once and for all. I love You.
John 6:44
"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day."
Yankee

Both systems demand actual godliness in some form or another, from the sinner for salvation. They demand a form of Godliness but deny the power of Jesus' Blood to save the ungodly.
Romans 4:5
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the *UNGODLY,* his faith is counted for righteousness.
Well... I completely disagree with you. The Calvinist/Arminian debate is not over "if" God saves an ungodly sinner - but "how" he does it. Both camps believe he does.
Is this preacher establishing a doctrine based on a parable? Is that a sound approach in hermeneutics?
I'm fairly certain the doctrine has long been established with evidence through the Bible, and he is merely highlighting how one parable happens to display the already established understanding
The Satanic doctrine of Calvinism originated from Augustine of Hippo who is also the father of Roman Catholicism. All 5 points of the Calvinistic "tulip" are found in Augustine's "City of God" writings. Calvin ardently admired Augustine and refined his false teachings in his own writings. The whole system of Calvinism is indeed NOT based on the Bible, but based upon the philosophical presuppositions of men in the following false teachings:
1) John Calvin's "institutes of the christian religion"
2) The "canons of dort"
3) The "westminster confession of faith"
4) The "london confession of faith"
5) The "lambeth articles"
6) Augustine's "city of god" writings
7) The "tulip"
Colossians 2:8 - Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Romans 1:18-32
For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which was known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shown it unto them.

First Corinthians 15:1-4 And Ephesians 2:8-9
AMAZING GRACE, JESUS PAID IT ALL AND WE PAID 0.
Jim..
"In whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,.."
Faith is a gift...."Blind can now see"....
If God wants everyone to be saved, is He going to get what He wants?
The earth produces BY ITSELF, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear."
The process is "αὐτόματος" - automatos in the Greek. When the seed hits the right soil (of the elect) - results are automatic. Far from destroying Calvinism, I would argue that Jesus' parables about soil & seeds affirm it.
Calvins answer to the parable of the sower… evanescence grace…
It’s kind of messed up in my opinion
There are none who seek after God, like Adam was not looking for God but God was looking for Adam.
And yet Cain and Able worshipped God.
I thought the parable of the sower is talking about the heart and the only soil that are the saved is the good soil. It does not say that all of the souls are the saved. So I’m confused. Anyway, regardless I do agree with you that Calvinism is not true.
In three of the four situations, the seed enters the ground and grows… so my understanding is that these represent believers.
Calvinism follows a different Gospel. They don’t even believe that we’re saved by grace through faith and they worship a different god.

You’ve been conditioned by teachers to think that way and to understand scripture through that lens.
(Romans 8.35-39)
God bless you and Merry Christmas

But if God is controlling everything then that would include our thoughts and emotions.
The saved are the born-again in christ by the indwelling of his Holy Spirit and the born-again KNOW that they can NEVER EVER be unborn-again! Hence, once saved (born-again) ALWAYS Saved (born-again) God bless you!
