  • On June 15th, 2019, the Massachusetts Bay Railroad Enthusiasts chartered an excursion from White River Jct, Vermont to Wells River and return. The power chosen for the trip was VTR GP38-2 No. 201, the first locomotive bought new by the railroad in 1972.
The excursion takes us up the former Canadian Pacific "Pompy" line, including stops at the Ely depot in Fairlee, VT, and a layover in Wells River, near the former crossing of the Barre and Chelsea Railroad. The trip also brought a friendly crowd of fans trackside, with some giving pointers on how to best set up shots, and where the most scenic spots were. Overall an excellent chase.
As always, thanks for watching, and if you haven't already, please leave a like and comment below, and subscribe for more great railroading content!
