If you lack of buffer then you can use another alternative like get more Dps or debuffer, and Maki is the best choice for that (Actually i would recommend S Shizumi, but i think not every sensei have her at max level, that why i suggest Maki that free to Farm and im sure every sensei have her at level max)

I think it's so that it gives the 2nd team a little time to build up some charge before getting into the 2nd phase. So instead of going in at 0, you'll be going in at like 5 or 6
You see at 2:43, that's when the Hovercraft retreat, and it's after my 3rd Hina shot. If you start phase 2 fresh, the Hovercraft will retreat while Hina is using her 3rd shot, and your team can't hit the Hovercraft while it's retreating. And the Hovercraft has a mechanics where the more hits it takes, the more damage it takes. So if it's retreating during Hina's 3rd shot, you lost a bit of dmg. It only matters in Torment, since you have spare damage in Insane. But you can get a bit more damage if you don't start team 2 fresh that way.

Assuming you have tier 7/8 equipments, especially tier 8 badge for extra evasion, 3 star Tsukyo should work, just upgrade her sub skill for the heal whenever she get stunned by the boss. My Tsukyo HP barely changes in the clear.
Not sure what's going on, but my Hina does little to no dmg with Himari/Fuuka buff and max equipment. Might just settle for extreme cause this raid is honestly one of my LEAST favorite...
If you want to use the same cycle, use any students with 2 cost like Shiroko, Serika or B.Toki, the score won't be as high though. If you plan to do Torment, then using Serika will leave the boss with 8 mil HP left in team 2, wwhich should be enough.

Why does stopping at 100k left on phase 1 give higher score? Why not just finish phase 1 and use new team fresh on phase 2? Can someone explain this?

nvm it was because Haruka for some reason is a bit further ahead than Bun so she was being targeted instead of Bun, Mine 3* 998 works fine

Irrc, if you clear fast enough, Haruka or other red tanks can do it. This boss deal yellow dmg, so Atsuko takes more damage compared to Tsukyo.
