THANK YOU for starting with a stove that truly needed to be cleaned. Always disappointed when a product is displayed in the best-case scenario. Real world stove top for the win!
I'm so happy! We just moved in and have our first gas cooker stove in years. It seems like it gets dirtier faster. We have the SAME Kenmore stove as yours so I'm excited to try this out!! Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing this before and after!!!! In the process of moving and cleaning is the part that takes the longest. I hope this shortens my cleaning process!
Loved this video! And honestly your personality made me subscribe! Keep them coming! Very helpful, I’ll be back to watch more but let me go clean my stove!
Dude, I saw your video on how to clean an iron plate w/baking soda and white vinegar. It worked so well that I used the recipe for my white gas stove top. It worked like a charm. Thanks!
5:06 You did a great job detoxing your stovetop oven, but your gas burners can use some work to remove those stubborn baked-on stains, especially inside the crevises. You can thoroughly exfoliate each burner with a toothbrush and scrubbing paste to remove trapped food debris and later soak them overnight with bleach for a cleaner and newer look.
*I have the same exact stove! I use hot water, dawn fish liquid, and a mr. Clean eraser! If you have grease, either use dish cloths or paper towels, dip them in your hot water/ dish liquid mix and lay the towels over the grease spots to soak then wipe. The eraser will take away the extra grease spots so easy!! I don't like using harsh chemicals bc it can remove the protective coating and a razor... I'd be to afraid to scratch it up!! But hey... you do you!! Lol!*
@@saraiherrera6010I'd say about 15 minutes or longer. I never really pay attention to how long I leave the towels on but I like to at least leave them on long enough that tougher spots soak up the water and lift easier!
@@saraiherrera6010 yes the top grates except I soak and wash them in my tub bc they might need scrubbing more lol. I lay a regular bath towel down first so they don't scratch my tub all up lol!
The easiest way to clean your stove top is to NEVER use it while dirty....it only makes cleaning it so much harder. Get yourself some Bon Ami too. It's gentle but effective along with a razor to scrape off thick burned on grease. I never have to use expensive cleaners!
No razor blade ever lol, bar keepers friend is amazing on any stove, even glass ones! Just saying! But surly gonna try krud Kutter thank you for the tip! Perhaps I helped you too! Thanks again! Loved your videos
Ugh, I will never forget those days when one of my annoying ex-roommates would always burn egg yolks all over the stove top everytime she cooked them. They were a pain to clean. I used to use a flat head screwdriver but your razor trick seems genious!
@@CleanWithConfidence Yeah I've used them on floors and for sticky messes but I didn't know it was okay to use on a glass stove top. I would be to afraid of scratching it up lol
I'm going to Lowe's tmr to return my recent purchased Easy-off heavy duty and get one of this Krud Kutter, my gas stove is exactly your kind, and it has exactly same greasy spots yours had in the video
Thanks for the tip of using a razor blade. FYI: ammonia soaked paper towels will help get those curved and hard areas to reach. needs up to 6 hours and that baked-on grease will just sluff off.
@@CleanWithConfidence The razor blade also worked amazing on the glass oven door. Which I've never been able to get clean. I can actually see into my oven now. :-) it's 10+ years and even after a 4 hour self-clean the glass never gets clean/clear. The razor blade amazing trick. 10 mins and wow
Great video now if only you could make one on how to get the faint scratches one gets on these cooktops. I have the same cooktop as you would that he considered an enamel material or is it powder coated maybe?
Just got a new G E gas range and was wondering if I could coat the top with something to prevent this happening in the first place. Things like car wax, PAM coating ECT.
Make your life a lot easier. Get disposable foil covers for your burners. They are cheap and save you from spills. I bought the crud cutter you mix up. Great to see it can do this.
Wow! Great video and funny too. That cat cameo was funny- where were it’s ears? Anyway, it’s too late to go to the store but first thing tomorrow I’m picking up Krud Kutter spray. I have razor blades (for some unknown reason). I hope this works on my stainless gas cooktop 🤞🏼

I can attest to krud kutter, I just tried this before I saw this video. It works good on greasy cabinets too. I am soaking my middle burner with it now and its melting the krud away.
Our stove is stainless with a nice finish and we could not use a metal blade on it. We purchased a new steamer and it smoked right through the caked on grime. Job just got much easier..
Funny thing, I have this same exact stove..... also looking to learn why my burner quit igniting , wow demonstrated My same stove! lol pretty popular Model I guess.
So after you clean it and get the gunk out, the burners will ignite again. The little gas valve just get clogged up with filth and won't let the gas out.
I have the same stove, it’s the first gas stove I’ve owned . I have trouble keeping it clean, I will have to try this product and I need to buy a razor for it as well
I spray on easy off oven cleaner (the no heat kind). Let sit for 10 mins. Come back and everything wipes off without a problem. Then dry buff with dry microfiber to stop streaks
Nice tip on the razor, I thought it was damage. I wish cleaning people would watch this stuff, they make things worse. You should add how to clean those gas burners, they get corroded, vacuum isn't enough, then can be removed and cleaned with vinegar.t that's more extensive and you showed good overview for routine cleaning, especially the grills!
I just: 1) wipe it regularly with a microfiber cloth 2) sometimes use non-lye oven cleaner on the top. Never had any problems, and it will after a few uses remove that stuff you used the scraper on.
The razor blade...that was the missing piece for me. I tried everything to get that baked on crud. We try to keep up with keeping it clean, but over the last few years, too many boil-overs by idiot teenagers (or the distracted adult) and it was pretty noticeable. It was a brand new and expensive stove and I wanted to keep it that way. Stove covers pretty much sucked (or at least I have yet to find a good one) so we just had to be careful. The razor blade just made it so easy, I can't believe I never thought of it. I once took a buffer and a mild car abrasive to it and all it managed to do is give the baked on crud a nice shine. LOL.
This looks like the same brand and type of stove I have. Fortunately, mine is nowhere near that dirty! I do have some stubborn baked on grease around my favorite burner though. ( Come on, you know we all have a favorite burner!) It isn’t bad enough for the razor blade trick, (which is terrific, btw,) but I’m going to look for some Krud Kutter and give that a try! Holy crap! That was amazing! Is Krud Kutter an enzyme cleaner? The only thing I’ve ever seen work even remotely close to that level is BioKleen. I love it (I even spray my gunky dishes that have been sitting in the sink for too long) but it’s expensive.
Clean With Confidence it’s like Nature’s Miracle except for all purpose cleaning and not dogs & cats messes. It eats away at the gunk you spray it on. And it gets rid of the funky bathroom smell, if you don’t want to clean with strong chemicals.
Please try a cup of ammonia on the stove top and cover with plastic wrap. I usually leave it set overnight. I was very impressed with the Krud Kutter until you got to the part with the razor blade. If you use the ammonia treatment you will not need the razor at all. Most everything will just wipe away.
