Just a superficial look to the NextGen from Airbus, the Nexus and Wisk, reveals that the Embrear's EVO concept is way more solid, with better aerodynamics and less prone to failure, what is needed to commercial flights and this strong foundation provides for better TCO. It is clearly a winner over everybody else with the exception of Beta, another excellent, solid concept.
LAX needs this and will be snapped up by customers readily considering the final 20 miles traveling to LAX within the greater LA area takes minimum of 1-3 hrs on any weekday biz hours in a car
Bombardier really needs to get itself in the game because it's probably the only one of the Big 4 not to invest in many eVTOL projects to date which is weird considering they practically invented an entire category of personal mobility with the Ski/Seadoo projects.. which if anyone remembers was supposed to be called the Ski Dog but because of a fateful printing error became an even better name... And a great pun... 23 Ski Doo!
@@raulcarlos - seriously, how could that thing autorotate? Gliding can be okay, if you've already got enough forward airspeed to provide adequate wing-lift. But if you're in the dead man's curve -- high enough altitude without enough lift -- then you're dead. Fortunately, it's got 8 rotors for vertical lift, and it's hard to imagine enough of them failing at once.
@@LucasSanRFS - unless of course it hasn't gained enough forward velocity yet to achieve wing-lift. And if it's too low, then it won't have a chance to gain enough forward velocity.

Far too loud, have 100 times more moving parts that can cause catastrophic failure, very inefficient use of fuel/energy, maintenance intervals associated costs extremely high, safety record is by far worst of any powered craft (flying or not)
@jpslaym0936 only thing I agree with is more moving parts, the rest is pretty arguable. It would have all the drawbacks of e-powered vehicle: temperature dependance, inability to "fuel" fast, batteries disposal etc. But still ....it has found its customers, so lets wait for real thing's operation
Choppers are much more difficult to pilot, much more risky to fly, much more inefficient, cruising speed comparably much slower, much louder, maintenance is more complex and expensive, fuel costs much much more.
You're delusional if you guys think this will be magically not loud. It will probably be louder than a helicopter. It is also not more efficient and convenient.
Lay people don't understand and end up embarrassing themselves in the comments. The construction of the Evtol and maintenance are much cheaper and faster than a standard helicopter, in addition to not polluting the environment.
Why should they show the tests flights? Embraer never showed any test flight of its 20 planes she certified. You live ina world of You Tube videos, which is not Embraer main purpose (please audiences). BTW the mock up they showed it’s a diversion to confound the competitor. That ugly thing will never see the sky.
What have they ever built, certified? Nooooooothing. What about Embraer? Well let’s say 20 planes, ( military, commercial and private jets) radars, Air Traffic control system, for Brazil and other countries (ex. India), Ships, landing gears.. and the list goes on and on. Has presence in 150 countries and 19 000 employees
I worked at Embraer for ten years in the quality area and I know how good their products are.
I am fully committed with EVE evetol. Embraer has best safety record of the entire industry.

Embraer is known for quality, and well engineered aircraft.
In the future the cars we have now will be in a museum, it's crazy to think about
Brazilian pride
Didnt know this was going on on my state, very cool
no way Embraer is making a VTOL!! This is so cool

Só não esqueça de por a Embraer como um grande player.

Like empires companies rise and fall. Bombardier had its time...... now it is not a shadow (plans, ski doos, trains, See Doos) what once it was
Maybe they're waiting on coming up with the right name -- the *_eSpeedoo?_*
Full scale is 4 passengers ?
I haven't seen anything more elegant than the PteroDynamics, but it is all exciting.
but Pterodynamics is variable geometry, which is more prone to failure
here the only thing that can fail is the motors
Embraer é a única coisa que me orgulho no Brasil hoje

I think of all of these new air vehicles are neat but without realistic power source they are just so much smoke.
I want to see what happens when the power cuts out while flying .... does she glide or drop like a rock.
It has wings, meaning it can glide, and it can also auto-rotate like a helicopter.
@@raulcarlos that sounds like wishful thinking, I want to see the test flight & no power glide/landing first.

By what I know, this model is designed for urban enviroments, like a real taxi, and there will be like 2 or 3 different versions.
