Bill, you take me back to the early/mid 70s. Though I have to admit to messing about with RTL logic chips even earlier.
I wonder how many folk have the slightest appreciation of how much has been achieved in the last x years.
I'm a big fan of multiplexers, I use 8:1 a lot to get more GPIO or ADC lines on microcontrollers... never thought of doing them with discrete logic and quite surprised how simple the digital ones are. Might be a different story for the analogue ones though??????
The output of the or gate has no knowledge of which of the inputs triggered it on.
