Yes! That's my biggest critique to the game. Seems like all that you do is skip through, win a relatively easy duel and then be done. Now I don't have it yet, so i am sure that I will change my opinion. But I wish you could walk around or move and see things as well. Probably wouldn't have gotten all 6 of the campaign arcs if that was the case I guess.
I remember learning to play yugioh via one of the games on GBA. Then, much to my mom's chagrin, I bought and tried to collect yugioh cards so I could play with friends on the playground. I was literally chilling out with the crew at the school yard.

I would love to get this so that I can get some of my friends into yugioh. I feel like this would be a great tool to help them learn the different mechanics and phases.

So for the interface, did you know it’s also a touch screen and you can select cards or zones with your finger instead of using the thumb pad. It makes the game easier to use and less clunky. But I would recommend using the buttons to select since fingers are not as precise
Not gona lie I want this game so I can OBLITERATE Kaiba with Exodia in the first duel ,I have seen it so many times by now and it still brings me joy. But getting the card promos is part of the reason I always buy these games. Seem cool , I know I will like the campaign mode. Thanks for the review Cali, stay STRONk
dude that is a nice pc, one thing I hate about that switch game is that the banlist is garbage, outdated and WORLDS banlist :/ super lame and no options to choose TCG
@@RickertUrgen I have no idea why they decided to make the whole game a mix between tcg/ocg banlists, there are also no tcg exclusive cards (dangers, certain ninjas etc.) and there are also no ocg exclusive cards, people in japan got real mad at this cos konami marketed it as if it'd have OCG cards and then changed it
Keith Palacios the game is essentially an HD Minecraft, but with actual quest lines and a large cast of characters. It’s a really fun game. As far as the Dragon Quest series as a whole is concerned, it’s the granddaddy of RPGs and extremely popular in Japan. It’s the largest franchise there (next to Pokemon) and worth trying out. The first 3 games are $3-$5 on the App Store I believe, if you wanted to look into it more.

Yo CaliEffect, this game looks a lot like the game that steam has called Legacy of the Duelist, if I remember correctly it is almost identical, the story line interface is the same as well as buying packs. I have not played it in a long time so not sure if vrains is up but it was indeed the same game. From what I heard since I haven't played the one that is on PC is they reworked the game engine, finished the arc v campaign, and vrains which got the same treatment as to what arc v had on PC, and has all the dlc.

I can't wait to play this game! I had a DS just to play the yugioh games. Also back when my friends and I played, we would use the games to settle rulings. This was back bedue the internet was super accessible. Good times...... Good times...
I could easily make 32 decks to be honest. At the same time, I dont need to have more than 32 decks readily available, thats the difference. So I guess I am okay with it hahaha.
I say there's one thing that kills it for me. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I think the lack of a Master Rule 3 option for Story Mode hurts it A LOT because it means that you can't have multiple extra deck monsters on the field at a time.
@@OhWhatsUpYT i love MR4 but I agree that it's silly for the STORY campaign not to play as MR3 especially during synchro etc. Makes it near impossible to summon red nova, shooting star etc.

@Bunnyboy King you can use link monsters in all of those eras. Is it true to the era? Well seeing that you can use a vast amount of cards that aren't in there era but do help the strats I think it's rather bad yo pick and choose. If you want to stick to the story for nostalgia stick to the character decks. If you want to be an inter dimensional traveler wrecking every hero/villain in every timeline USE THOSE LINKS!

Fair, everyone is entitled to how they feel. When I first started playing it (Still in Duel Monsters btw) I didn't use the EMZ. Also, there is no forbidden list in the Campaign, so you could in thoery just play FLoater cards and then play Regular YGO
i have over 2000 decklists i use :’). but 32 is enough for pvp rotations then swap 4 out at a time, etc. the game lets you make all those niche full power decks like blackwings, inzektor, fishermen etc
The physical copy is worth it. Extra cards if you want to sell them even at a couple of bucks. You get 6 yugioh games and get to play meta. I'd like MTG to do the same without the p2w element in their games.
Ive loved this game. I really enjoyed zexal and arc I love zexal over all yu gi oh series cause the protagonist starts off bad but we get to see him develop throuought the series unlike other games where their a pro
bro early game build a grave keeper deck. literally beats every deck in that game with ease. deck has 3 in archetype flood gates and a 3200-3300k beater that gets you a search at the end of your turn and also a counter trap for negates.
Where did you read/hear about the updates on the story? I can't find any information on it. The real question is will the new episodes bring new cards though. :)
It’s been years since the last yugioh game, and this game is essentially that game. This game just has some added cards and I think an expanded story mode correct? It’s the same game from Xbox one and PS4 from years ago. Nothings really changed except they updated it for today’s yugioh scene. Kind of sad that they can’t make a story or a different kind of game. Just a simulator that’s out of date and only on 1 console (this “updated” version won’t be on Xbox or PS4)
it's the same as yu-gi-oh legacy of the duelist on ps4 but with link summons it's a rehash of an old game even the menus are the same konami are just being lazy and all the updates are paid dlcs
i been wondering what the difference was between this version and the version i have on my ps4, looks like there is an additional campaign along with extra cards.....i might consider getting this simply because there is more content...before i thought it was just extra cards and nothing else.

In all honesty, I dig it, the graphics of the game are sweet, simple and to the point. It really hits me with the nostalgia of the old gameboy games. Right now, with the story, I see it as "Yu-Gi-Oh the visual game novel." Which to me isnt bad at all, I could see that not being everyone's cup of tea. YGO admittedly isnt my thing, I got this game for whenever I need a YGO fix and honestly, I cant complain. Its fun and I dig it.
I wish it was available on steam as well or something else. I think the switch is the best spot for it but exclusive sucks. Also wish the campaign was a story mode walking around with your character. I had a blast with stardust accelerator for that reason haha
Legacy of the duelist is on steam, it’s also on PS4. Has been for like 5 years. This is the exact same game but with a couple extra campaigns added in.

They said link was too much of a difference to add as a dlc. They should've still brought it over as a new game and let you port over your decks from the old one
@ 15:42 lol, that's me. i remember that the "7 trials to glory" gameboy game let you build several decks and i did exactly that. some of them were for "limited tournaments" where i could only use low-level monsters, or no trap cards, or no effect monsters, etc. i also spent so much time building my own themed decks, like using only water types, fire types, dark types, and such. i really love 7 trials to glory and eternal duelist soul to this day and i want for this latest switch release to be similar to them. 😊
I know this comment is almost a year old but I just recently picked up this game for the switch and the game keeps crashing for me sometimes and I get an error message which is very annoying, this seems to be an ongoing issue that many people are having with this game based on what I’ve researched
@@miguelespinal2889 I pretty much 100 percented the game except for owning every single card. It's a good game, but it was very buggy for me. The crashing happened a lot in the story mode. I don't remember if the game crashed in the challenge mode or it happened so infrequently compared to the story mode that I don't remember the challenge mode being buggy. Shame they never fixed the bugs.

At first glance I thought this game would be amazing and was looking forward to see how the animes I did not watch played out story wise. Instead I’m playing through very very very boring cutscenes with music more repetitive than what plays at my job, and to top it off: Play Yumas historic deck if you dare. it is absolutely horrible and if those attrocious cards were what yuma would use during zexal then im so damn glad i never watched it. Those cards are HORRIBLE. WHO USES “DOUBLE OR NOTHING” WHO???????

it literally is an official yugioh simulator. and yes KONAMI most definitely has plans to release updates (in the form of DLC) to the game

The 3DS ygo Game is garbage in nearly every way. The DS Lite Games are better in every way. Better Bots a Story an (over) world.

Yes it's the same game. This is just a reboot for the switch. Although the ps4 version is not being supported anymore with any updates.
Could you implement the codes from the cards
You unlock cards from in game codes, and from winning duels. I dont think you can use codes but idk
Anyone else getting performance issues with this game?
I know this comment is almost a year old but I just recently picked up this game for the switch and the game keeps crashing for me sometimes and I get an error message which is very annoying, this seems to be an ongoing issue that many people are having with this game based on what I’ve researched
@@miguelespinal2889 I pretty much 100 percented the game except for owning every single card. It's a good game, but it was very buggy for me. The crashing happened a lot in the story mode. I don't remember if the game crashed in the challenge mode or it happened so infrequently compared to the story mode that I don't remember the challenge mode being buggy. Shame they never fixed the bugs.

At first glance I thought this game would be amazing and was looking forward to see how the animes I did not watch played out story wise.
Instead I’m playing through very very very boring cutscenes with music more repetitive than what plays at my job, and to top it off: Play Yumas historic deck if you dare. it is absolutely horrible and if those attrocious cards were what yuma would
use during zexal then im so damn glad i never watched it. Those cards are HORRIBLE.

The match was in the earlier stages of the game. It was referencing the feel of Yugi Actually playing Bakura in Duelist Kingdom.
