ISTJ here. Haven't watched part 2 yet but I'll share what I found easy and hard from part 1. By far the easiest question was the grocery store question. No effort at all to remember the items and do it in reverse order. Also somehow I have good memory of the cashier despite not actually paying any conscious attention to her appearance while I was there. It's hard to explain - just by doing the shopping trip all this irrelevant information like the appearance of the cashier stays in my brain and can be easily recalled. 2nd easiest was the furniture question and the postmaster reducing the budget. It took very little effort to list out the steps to set up my patio furniture in 6 steps or 4 steps. I could probably fit the task into any number of steps if required. When I think of doing a task my brain immediately goes to "okay to get this thing done well first we do this, then this, then that." It's just naturally how I go about doing things so listing steps comes naturally. Again very little effort but maybe a hair more than the grocery store question. What I like/dislike in the kitchen was quite easy too. I found the hardest question to be the returning 100$ to a friend and actually couldn't come up with any answer and wrote "can't relate - I would never get myself into a situation where I borrowed 100$ and didn't prepare in advance to return it by the time we agreed upon" LOL. Another one that was not easy nor hard, more just annoying, was making the definitions from all those other people's perspectives. I can't explain why I started getting annoyed by the end of the definitions and wanted it to end other than maybe I feel like the definition is a single defined definition and the person's perspective is irrelevant to the meaning of the word lol. Thanks for making this - it was a lot of fun. Great video :)
Hey -- thanks for the response and detailed info! This is so illustrative of the ISTJ, I just had to make a response video to you. ruclips.net/video/zhsCcmgsZOc/видео.html Let me know what you think. Thanks again.
Haha for the dog question I definitely missed the story/paragraph part and just did what you said about trying to give the "correct" answer. My 4 answers were all different but I think they might be just 4 individual Ni answers (possible realistic "correct" answers?) - The dog heard an ultra high pitched whistling noise coming from the room that the owner couldn't hear and it didn't like the sound - The dog's previous owner lived in this building and the dog had a bad experience in the room in the past - The room's door had a frame that made it look like a screen door so the dog thought there was something blocking the way and didn't think it could physically go through - The dog's microchip was having electrical interference from some device in the walls when it got near the room so it felt buzzing when it got near I completely hated the furniture question & refused to do that one LOL.... As soon as you said "now do it again but in 4 steps" I rolled my eyes. I thought the postmaster question was testing Ne at first and I came up with a bunch of not great answers like "reduce 10% of everyone's income", "reduce spending by 10%" like I did not go any deeper than that (I already know I'm INFJ). Surprisingly the kitchen question was harder than I expected - took me a bit to even think about the things I don't like. I couldn't come up with a good reason as to why I don't change them but it wasn't a direct "don't know, don't care" kind of thing. I just thought about it and concluded that all the things are too small to care about "they're not a big deal and don't bother me, therefore I shouldn't care and won't think about them any longer". I guess I don't really personally feel that strongly about most things but if my wife were bothered by it I'd feel much more compelled to do something about it. The grocery store thing I couldn't do backwards but I was able to recall the full memory of the trip and the items, after about a minute of thinking hard. I also did not actually get up and fix anything in the house :) Fe and Ti questions felt easy. Ni definitions/perspectives felt easy too. The easiest of everything was the first dog question I thought of that instantly. And then the 2nd-4th were slightly harder took me a bit to come up with answers. Enjoyed these quite a bit great ideas on each function. Thanks for making this video!
I'm SEI / ISFp I sucked so bad at the post delivery one, the 6 step break down of how to build something and finally the dog one. I just cannot believe how accurate this was for me. I am the Te POLR. And my Ne sucks. The easiest ones for me were the items i bought, their brands and what i disliked about the kitchen. I also noticed i found it easier to understand why someone liked something and how to convince them to get on board with something i like. Rather then say knowing what i liked.
Doing the very first test I had no issues with the first question writing out my to do list and somewhat enjoyed it. When you told me to go do it my thought was “oh you fucker” but I went and cleaned the cat box. Then you wanted me to do one more and my thought was “I literally hate you” and I vacuumed my living room. 😂 great test
An eye opening video!! Thank you very much. I did well on some things I thought I would have trouble with and conversely, while none of the tasks seemed impossible, a couple I took for granted weren't as easy as the rest.
There are several SE tasks, such as cleaning out old papers where I have them stored in a closet that I am putting off just because of the sheer hassle of going through them all. It's not simply laziness- I work 6 days a week and I'm busy with church related activities on the 7th day so part of it is that I don't have time to do this but I could make time if it was more important to me. On the other hand, as far as my self testing goes, I would alternate between Fe and Ne as possible PoLR functions, but I think I did quite well with both of these parts of the test. I enjoyed the NE part perhaps the best and I enjoyed the TI and FI parts as well.
@@anothermajesticinfj5148 sorry, I'm in groups that do a lot of typing with visual cues and voice, ect. So deep voices I would say could be common in ExxPs with Ti
For the Ni, I feel like it’s easier to determine perspectives for ideas I’d typically engaging with. So to think of a political view I believe in, now take an opposite perspective, what would a child’s perspective be? What would a deaf or blind persons perspective be? This I excel at. But coming up with a definition? Meh, I’m not good with definitions really.
Looks like my PolR is Te, according to your scenarios. Interesting, I have been wondering if it was Ti, but was surprised at how easy it was for me to answer those questions (and I had almost exactly the same answers you sampled, the one that was different was that obviously, the nuclear bomb wasn't a dud). That post office scenario really got to me in the worst ways. Not only did I have a horrible time trying to come up with answers based on the low amount of information I had, but my solutions were almost all related to laying off personnel, and I felt horrible for it. XD On the other end, the dog and the room was actually pretty fun. And the kitchen questions, I found I had an easy time picking 3 things, but most of my reasons for not acting were because they were fixtures and would require money and remodeling to change, so I guess I didn't use it very creatively. That was a good series of challenges, bravo!
On the budget - I struggled with this. I came up with lists but I got stuck because I wouldn’t do them so I had to wait and find ways that I would feel good about (like I wouldn’t fire people but I would take on volunteers, I wouldn’t raise prices but I would collaborate with other entities to deliver packages. However, I would have literally zero ideas of what would ever work. I know I use Ne so that was all I had access to to answer this question….and Feeling
Was def. a good test and I found I had good skills in some unexpectedareas. But to know what was my PoLR function, I could have stopped after the first test, since I refused to do a single task. LOL
I said I wouldn't try to convince the person to like it but I might tell them the benefits of wearing wool because it's breathable but warm, ect. Just to say hey this could be a game changer for you.
I didn’t even know there was a Fe polr test in part one until I read the comments 😭😭😭 I still have no idea where it was??? Wait there’s Fe polr test 😭😭😭 I only saw Se Ne and Te questions
I thought Ne was my polr but Rachel time I make an explanation, it gets easier and more out of the box level creativity. Te was easy, Se hard but Fe is harder.
