Nothing quite like the Pennsylvania wilds.
The Yough River flows right past my hometown of Rostraver Twp. PA an area with lots of history.
That’s one of nicest waterfalls I’ve seen in Pennsylvania. Reminds me of a miniature Niagra Falls

That waterfall is awesome.
Aaaaalot to see in Ol'Ohiopyle!,Awsome vid
I feel blessed to have this park close by and to have worked many summers in such a beautiful park. The nightlife is fun in the summer and recreational opportunities endless.
Wow that place was just beautiful. What a fantastic waterfall. Totally awesome video thanks Cliff. Thank you so much for taking me along. Please stay safe and take care. Congratulations on 47,000 subscribers

I think I could stay by that waterfall for quite a while! Incredibly beautiful and peaceful! Thanks for bringing us along!
With deep appreciation I thank you for sharing this astonishing land and water. It stirs great gratitude that God created it for mankind’s delight. He demands exclusive devotion.
Beautiful WOW!!!!!
A must see area!
Ohiopyle is my all-time favorite place in the entire world!!!
Another gorgeous part of PA. The rains you experienced earlier, probably made the falls more awesome on this hike.
I enjoy waterfalls too but especially watching the little trails of water around the main falls are fun to watch.
The water is beautiful... I too like waterfalls...I could sit there all day ...
Ohiopyle is beautiful! My fiance and I camped there many times. We always hiked to the falls, and would sit on the rocks and listened to the falls. Thanks for taking folks along.
Beautiful place
Hi Cliff, a beautiful area and the sound of the rushing water is very calming to listen to, the waterfalls were absolutely stunning and you definitely picked the best spot to view them. Thanks for sharing, much love. xx 💖
When I was young I live in a small town called Fairchance Pa. near Uniontown Pa.And I spent a lot of time at Ohiopyle Falls,In the spring the water is very Fast and very Cold.
Excited to see who finds the channel sticker. Those tree roots were very cool. Water as always such a beautiful sound. Gorgeous views & waterfall amazing!! What a wonderful spot you found to enjoy the waterfall. Just incredible Cliff. Thanks so much.🥰❤
That was really beautiful, especially the hemlocks. They looked primeval. I would love to go there someday.
Thank you so much for the view of the Ohiopyle Falls from the wooded side. I am always over on the Safe side, where the viewing decks are. I could never walk those trails where you walked.
Love the Yough. Been paddling the Lower, middle and upper since 1985. The river is pronounced Yah-ga-gain-ee.
Beautiful woods and amazing falls. Thank you for sharing.
Hi cliff..been a subscriber for a while now..I enjoy your videos..try out McConnell Mills state park..north of ohiopyle in butler co
Apparently, we think alike. I missed you by about two weeks at Ohiopyle. 😉
Baughman rocks overlook is my favorite spot in Ohiopyle.
Beautiful places you go to walk.. I enjoy your videos and your knowledge of plants. I've learned a lot from you. Thanks woodsman...
Absolutely beautiful!
rickets glen is one of the best places for waterfalls if you have you have never been their you should be in pa...20 plus years sice ive been their.
Many years ago there was a hotel and resort on that peninsula. People would ride on the passenger trains and then stay at the hotel. Hard to imagine it was ever there with how the trees have grown back.
Thanks for taking us along, Cliff. Great video!
I love the lower part of that trail. The river and falls are awesome but I've seen some of the most beautiful copperhead and other snakes through there. I think I've only been there once that I didn't see at least one snake. I was waiting through this video in hopes that you would get to see at least one. Cucumber falls is awesome in it's own way also. Not real big but definitely worth going to see!
Wow, that waterfall is beautiful.
Love Cucumber Falls and the Water Slide too !
That's a good looking sticker. Nice trail and falls, I like trails that run along rivers/streams. Good video. 👍🏻
My wife and I found the sticker
It you send me a pic, I'll share it in a future video.
"Yuck - i -gain - ey" for how to pronounce the River name. My friend in Greensburg, PA told me how to say it when I was planning my trip in that area in 2017. Cucumber Falls I believe is that waterfall you are referencing. Can't wait to go back for another visit.
The locals pronounce it yock, lol.
@@paulcondie2520 LOL...Yeah its one of those names, you just don't believe exists until someone actually says it to you. And I agree, unless you live out that way, you are not saying it right.
@@micheledaniels6409 yes I live here you had or he had the rest right. In fact there is a school district named yough school district. Locals pronounces it Yock. Lol Now I never went to said school district but played then in several different sport events while in high school sports. I have a better one you can try and pronounce, lol. I grew up next to another local river. Try and pronounce this one, lol. The " Monongahela" river! Lmfao!!! There is a city as well, the city of Monongahela.
Yock-a-gain-e
@@gpcbr1000 👍 there ya go! Lol
It some of the most fun white water I have paddled that section is called the loop.... and I have kayaked all over PA. I hope you walked over the. Railroad bridge
Definitely worth the visit! 😊
I have rafted on the Yuk including Class II, III and IV and V.
Cool place glad you could share
I plan to do that trail on Monday morning. I cannot wait. I have done a few parts of it, but not the whole thing as I had my young children. I tried to hike the bottom half last summer part of it was closed.
I do Youghigheny River shore line hiking, bouldering and the rough hiking along the river shore, starting at the "slides" and head to the Cucumber Falls, cross the stream and keep going down stream to the "high bridge". YOCK - A - GAIN - EE.
I'm specializing in the Ohiopyle potholes. I got a playlist of them on RUclips.
Great video, Cliff!!
Favorite place !
Mike from Out Naturing would love that waterfall.
Cliff, I don't know how far away from this it is (Confluence, PA?), but you should visit Youghiogheny River Lake where the former town of Somerfield used to be. I saw video footage and read about The Great Crossings Bridge (built around 1815?), an old three-arched bridge from the National Road that was submerged in the 1940's when the dam was built. You can see part of the bridge when the water level is low along with remnants of Somerfield, so you have to go at the right time. This would be awesome to see!
Surprisingly, there are a lot of great hiking trails and wildlife in the entire Chicago metropolitan area! If one ever has the time, check out Busse Woods Forest Preserve, in Elk Grove Village, IL. They actually receive more annual visits than Yosemite in California.
You look spiffy again... very nice color! :) I think you missed the most beautiful little red mushroom with white dots at about 8;50. Poisonous, but beautiful.
Yawk--a--GAIN--nee for Youghiogheny.
You should write on the sticker back to go to fb or RUclips if a random person that doesn't watch your videos finds it
I have rafted there with my family - terrible experience as we chose the cheap option of having "available guides." Three out of five of us fell out. I was the only experienced rafter & I had laryngitis at the time. My three daughters were young and now say they wouldn't go rafting again. Take my word for it and pay extra to have a guide in the raft with you. People have died rafting there.
this is So Clear it's incredibly Vivid gt word i like words this is Inspiring me Beautiful Place brian but its0.40am 16th February here so may Retire may!?
Definitely be checking for snakes before you go sticking your hand under any rocks. There's a lot of copperheads and rattlers around Ohiopyle.
Youghiogheny is pronounced Yoka ('o' as in dock) gainy (like 'rainy'). I guess that's why most call it the Yough (not yo or yuff... haha)
Awesome place but what if a snake was under that rock where you put the sticker you did not even check before you put your hand. Big ups dude 👍👍✌️
I looked before hand...
@@thewanderingwoodsman7227 ok cool
My family owned a lot of that: Williams and Bells(Fraser)
Also, people who follow you on Instagram should tag you in the photo/s!
If you were there on a weekend you would see kayakers dropping that waterfall
Pronounced as Youck rhymes with Block. Ah- Gain -E . So Youck-Ah-Gain-E .
I was wondering if you made it to the Pinkerton Tunnel on the trail, and the bridges on either end of the tunnel?
Did you see the fossils of prehistoric tree bark imprints in the rocks, on the ferncliff side around the falls?
Don't recall seeing them..
Youghiogheny same sound as Allegheny. Gain E
Did someone get that channel sticker last year?
Yough-A-Gain-E
Yough-a-gainy
It's pronounced Yock a gainy 😉
You should have walked north on the GAP trail to the river valley overlook going across the old train bridge. It’s only about a half a mile north of the parking lot. Be careful where you place your stickers, Ohio Pyle is known for rattlesnakes. And I have to say that I think that was a poor choice.
A imagine the Cure song "A Forest" playing during your hike..
I appreciate your video. But leave no trace doesn’t just refer to trash. Not to be that guy, leaving something in the woods that doesn’t belong there to promote a RUclips channel kind of goes against the whole leave no trace philosophy.
