no offense but you flossed that fish. it did not bite. you "hook" it at 00:51 which was at the END of your drift/floss. And also it's hooked just outside the mouth. Classic floss. We get them that way in BC for sockeye on the fraser. It's fun but it ain't "fishing"...it's a floss.

LOL I can see how you could imagine that if you've never swung flies; I totally understand! But the fly swings a few inches under the surface. Steelhead don't hold there; they are closer to the bottom. The fish comes up, grabs the fly, and turns back down. Alot of us will let the fly dangle in the current at the end of the swing. Sometimes for 5 minutes or more! The fish CRUSH the fly at the hangdown; oftentimes you can see the fish come up and flash. The polar opposite of flossing. I almost "wish" my fly was down in the fish lol, but if you ever start swinging flies, do some snorkeling and you will be shocked at how shallow the fly is, and how deep the fish are. Then try to snag ANYTHING at the end of the swing; impossible lol. Welcome to the fishing world and good luck !

@@dsddavesmith Oh good. A debate. You notice how close you were to shore when you realized the fish was on your line? You only noticed the the fish when you started retrieving. It's not like you were aware because the fish "crushed" it. No "crushing" occurred. You literally were reeling back in your line. And you yanked to the left. Again suggestign the fish was about 10-15 ft from shore. Now that is pretty close plus the fact you are in the water about the same distance. And i'm guessing you aren't at your nipples in your waders..likely a foot and half deep at best. So you hooked a fish 12 ft from shore in 12 inches (or less..I can see the rocks on the bottom) in water while retrieving. Not out in the flow. But right by the shore. That's a floss friend, i see it a lot right now in British Columbia as it's steelie season here too. Check out this guy who posted a video a few days ago. It's basically a photocopy of your floss. Nice fish tho' but it ain't fishing :) It's flossing. ruclips.net/video/BUx9qiAiY48/видео.html

Thats a serious accusation for me. And I don't think you ever fish steelhead before. But I will not to delete or block your comment, and if you don't like my video or what I do you can just block me thats fine.
I will not debate with you, because you will only believe what you believe.

Where do you see it hooked from outside? It’s clearly bitten. If you don’t know how to properly fish you can kindly ask. Don’t throw your ignorance out saying it’s flossed. You have not a single clue.

@@victorxing5477 show me the time link where you SEE the hook IN the fish's mouth. I see the hook on the outside thru this video. It's completely flossed.
