I am so happy this song didn't exist when I was in middle school lol. Back then I would have sang this song out loud while jumping off a building.

I find it really strange how almost everyone seems to go through this period of being really vulnerable to this kinda stuff, around the ages of about 12 to 15. Literally any song similar to this one would’ve made me genuinely ponder offing myself.
Only around 16 or so, I’ve noticed, do people kinda come out of that weird cloud of being miserable. It seems to be this universal thing of once you become an older teen, you get a bit of a thicker skin, and get over some of the things that bothered you before.
So yeah, it really does get better.
