      A lot of people lease these machines so everything is covered under warranty and when the next best one comes out you better deal on that lease or sale if you really want to buy one.

      Apples to apples they’re about 48k more than a CS690 so 760-790k depending on options. But I bought 2 extra heads so under a million

      @@westtxharvester I bet they are a little bit more pricey than the previous models. I would really like to see one in a demo; too bad I don’t live in an area that grows cotton.

    I can definitely see the improvements, but the real question is how much more is it going to cost?

    • @MultiTurbospeed
      @MultiTurbospeed 3 года назад +3

      $1 million dollars but you pretty much would need only 1 machine

    • @d.miller1524
      @d.miller1524 3 года назад

      @@MultiTurbospeed you would still need multiple pickers depending on acres, it would just be more efficient. I’m curious if the improvements will be worth the price increase because baler pickers are already almost 1 million dollars

    • @KayleeBlakeBTSARMY
      @KayleeBlakeBTSARMY 2 года назад

      Here in North Mississippi we operate a CP690 and 2 CP770s and they really are wonderful. Cuts out the need for Module Builders and gets a lot more work done than the 4 row pickers we used to operate. When you farm 14 thousand acres of it they really get the job done and the cotton the gin quicker and more efficiently. The cotton gin comes out and picks ours up so yea it’s very efficient! Rather than the 4 row pickers dumping into the KBH boll buggy’s then having to build all the modules.

    Will they make a 16 row/30 inch model? It would be the same overall width of 40ft.

Guys out in Kansas / Texas panhandle where it’s windy all the time run vacuum hoses on their buggies to clean up around the module builder. Here in Tennessee, a guy will usually rake up what little cotton is spilled around the module builder

    • @JohnDeere
      @JohnDeere  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for the question, Aaron. There are three available headers for our next generation of Cotton Harvesters. The SH8R Folding Stripper Header can accommodate 36-, 38-, and 40-inch rows; the SH12R can handle 30-, 32-, and 36-inch rows, and the SH12F can take on 38- and 40-inch rows. You can find more information about our Cotton Harvesters here: www.deere.com/en/harvesting/cotton. Your local John Deere dealer would also be a great resource to answer further questions for you. If needed, you can find your local dealer at Deere.com/Dealer. We hope this helps.
