I’m in Chicago, I’m 32, and I have this desperate desire to study the word of God, and I want to go to a seminary but money is tight rn. I just ask if you can pray for me that the Lord may provide. My name is Alberto. Thank you!
God is good!!!! I pray for a way to go to bible college. I dont know if being a Padyor is a calling. For me its counseling, listening, being a missionary.
I feel a calling to go to bible college. I dont have the funds but I have prayed to Father God. Studying the bible, all day is a dream. Yes I can read and study without college but this for me is a dream of of being a nazerene.
Shawn Weekly yeah man, you’re welcome 👍🏻 I’ve wanted to go back to school. I got kicked out of one several years back. I was able to go to transfer to a different college, but was on there a few quarters ( they do the quarter system) Me and my x fiancé broke up cause she had cheated and I didn’t care about school much at the time. I was gonna take a little time off, and go back. I got in to some construction and oilfield several years. It’s been 16 years since and I just meant to take a little time off. Last I checked I still can’t attend the other college I got kicked from. I need to check again and see if I’m able to now. I wouldn’t even know what I’d want to major in now though. Back then I changed my major a few times.
Wow... I tried to get my transcripts from the old school on a last ditch effort, and I was ready to just start over. Our stories are really similar. I was working in IT, and didn't consider going back. But when I changed careers again... my degree was in my new Career field.
Ahhh congrats!!! When’s the party?!! My faith-based question is how do you deal with rejection/disappointment when you feel like God told you something was happening but you’re the waiting period?
I am, its been a while since I've updated on this channel, I was busy making videos for the church. We are now able to live stream on Sundays, so more content returning to this channel soon.
Also, my question is concerning understanding the text about “Where one or three are gathered in my name”. I hear many pastors continually use this when prayers are being offered up. But when I read the verses above it, in context they are talking about bringing someone in church who shows no repentance and how to deal with it. So if God is living and breathing in me, why do I need three people to get a prayer answered or heard? Am I way off? Am I missing something? If not, how can so many pastors be getting this wrong? That irks me to no degree.
I'm pretty late in seeing this, but as a brand new online seminary student, I wanted to ask you how you #1 paid for it, and #2 spent time with your family while working a full time job and studying. I have 2 boys and also am the sole income. Thank you for your advice in advance
Hey James, thanks for the comment. I paid as I went for the first portion of my degree. I was able to get some grants early on. The final year I was able to use the continued education benefit from my job to pay for what grants didn't provide. I had to be really disciplined with my time. The majority of my school work happened after 9 o'clock. So I spent 3-4 hours a night reading, writing and studying. It didn't leave much room for Hobbies or entertainment.

Jeanette Davis-Keys Generally speaking the Father sent the Son to complete the salvation of mankind, and The Father actually created all things through the Son (Colossians 1:16-18 KJV) and the Holy Spirit indwells believers, guiding them unto all truth, and convicting the world (unsaved) of sin, righteousness and judgement, because they believe not on Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Trinity/Godhead verses from the King James Bible: Genesis 1:26, Genesis 3:22, Genesis 11:4, Romans 1:20, 1st John 5:7. People tend to pray to the Father in the name of the Son, though you will rarely hear the Holy Spirit personally addressed in prayer. Hope this helps you! 🙏
Enter the Bruce 01 gave a good synopsis of the Trinity. In their essence each member of the Godhead (Trinity: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit) are: 1.) distinct in their Personhood: (The Father is not the Son, or The Holy Spirt; and the Son is not the Father, and The Holy Spirit, & The Holy Spirit is not The Son nor The Father 2.) yet they are all God in their being... (One). They are also unique in the Economy of How they function. Again, Enter The Bruce 01 outlined some of the ways that they are unique in the way, they interact with humanity. ie: The Father sent & gave The Son to perform the redemptive work of Salvation. The Son is unique in this work, and we should view Him as Our Redeemer. After Jesus' redemptive work through the cross was complete, He eventually ascended back into Heaven, before His disciple's eyes, but before He left He told them that He would pray to The Father, and He would send another COMFORTER (The HOLY SPIRIT) to be with them forever. (John 14:6). The Holy Spirit's ministry is still active and alive in the lives of believers 'til this day. He is literally GOD in us. Indwelling us, sealing us, prompting us, praying for us.
@@ShawnWeekly Thanks, brother. Glad to hear that you finally got your degree! I'm a Bible student in the unofficial sense. No Bible college but my theological understanding has grown from studying the scriptures (KJV) so I thought I'd clarify some of the more subtle aspects of the Trinity/Godhead in answer to Jeanette's question. I've thought about bible college for a time but honestly don't know if it's for me, I'm 29 and I understand your video is proof positive that it's never too late to 'go for it' but I've felt a little bit lost as to how best to move forward in sanctification and godliness so my life has been at a bit of a standstill for the past few years because of that . I'm in England so things are a bit different here in some ways. My name is Sean as well! Nice one, Shawn, I appreciate the video! 🙏 👍
@@enterthebruce91 so many similarities Sean. I was involved in teaching, ministry and the pastorate before I obtained my degree. In all honestly I didn't grow in depth (at least not from the curriculum), from going to school... I did however grow in width, in that I was forced to tackle topics and articulate my faith in areas that I was not challenged in prior. The conversations I had with classmates and professors I probably wouldn't have had otherwise. For me it was more of a challenge for myself to see how I could perform in academic climates than a necessity. There are tons of resources available online for free that would provide the same benefits... I am going to do a video on many of them soon. Blessings.
War and the intent to kill wile in the military? Does it go against the 10 Commandments? Thou shall not kill.... but we would speak about killings with ease. Is God ok with war? If so, then is he ok with the politics of war?

I want to know about prophrthood in the Bible.
How much are they pure and why is it ok for them to sin rather than be protected by God
That's a great topic to cover, Old Testament prophets and God's protection. I'll add that to my list of content to create.
What is the difference between Father, Son, Holy Spirit? Trinity? How should we engage with each?
Jeanette Davis-Keys Generally speaking the Father sent the Son to complete the salvation of mankind, and The Father actually created all things through the Son (Colossians 1:16-18 KJV) and the Holy Spirit indwells believers, guiding them unto all truth, and convicting the world (unsaved) of sin, righteousness and judgement, because they believe not on Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
