When I Survey the Wondrous Cross (hymn, mountain dulcimer CGC tuning] 

Beautiful song that I have the privilege of playing sometimes during the Lord’s Supper  at our church. Contemplating what Christ accomplished on our behalf on the cross, where he took upon his body ALL of our sin, fully satisfying God’s wrath for our sin, and transferring his pure and perfect righteousness to us. The result? For those who have faith in him, not relying on our own goodness, which, compared to him, is really not goodness at all, but trusting entirely in his work on our behalf? We are as welcomed into God’s family as Jesus is! Wow!  Now that’s truly amazing. The wondrous cross is worthy of our surveying!
