    BRAVO for the front office love on the Rockets. Stone is the master mind behind it all and deserves the credit.
    Stone is the man that deserves the praise in Houston...If you know anything about NBA Basketball, then you would know his genius goes back a decade:
    Stone built and ran the FIRST ever Analytics Department in the NBA under Morey, who got the credit. Morey is NOT a good GM...Where are his rings or finals appearances?
    Stone was the first GM to get 4 - first round picks and 4 pick swaps for a player in a NBA trade or in any major sports. But, most everyone laughed at him...he set the market.
    Stone was the first GM to take a 8 pick/swap trade after (selecting Eason, Whitmore and Sheppard) using 5 of the picks/swaps, then trading 2 of those picks to get control over 4 picks from another team (Suns) for a total of 10 picks/swaps out of the Harden deal. Stone raised the bar. The Harden trade will go down as the best NBA trade EVER.
    Stone is the ONLY GM in any sport to have a 70% success rate on his first 10 - 1st round picks...
    Green (2021 #2) , Sengun (2021 #16) , Jabari (2022 #3), Tari (2022 #17), Amen (2023 #4), Cam (2023 #20), Reed (2024 #3). The other 3 picks (late round 1st) he flipped to get Adams and an Euro big man.
    Stone took a dysfunctional maxed out cap playoff team that the star players wanted out and they forced a rebuild from GM all the way down. It took Stone 3+ years for this rebuild...now watch out NBA.
    ALL HAIL STONE

    You make some valid points. I hope these young players can find some chemistry. I hope they learn the power of playing as a unit, a team and not like a band of individuals. It's refreshing and rare to hear a young person speak Without unnecessarily saying the word "like" 3 times in every sentence. Thanks for your thoughts. Go Rockets!!!

    Good pod. i agree with you we are loaded with high end young talent. one thing Stone has proven is he knows how to find talent in the draft. in these last 4 drafts he has come away with 7 high end prospects hitting on each first round selection over that span. that's hard to do and yet he has pulled it off. the hiring of Udoka has changed the culture and direction, and created an enviroment for this young talent to trive. we are on the cusp of something great and I can't wait to show the NBA what we been building.

      @@DavidChinh we never talked about a deep playoff run, we’re talking about a team that was at the bottom for 3 consecutive seasons, had a competing season last year despite the injuries, and they added a stud in reed sheppard. if this team stays healthy they’ll have a playoff spot imo

      I saw someone that said Rockets could create a death lineup similar to what Golden State Warriors had in the 2010's using Reed, Amen, Tari, Jabari and Cam. They said just like Golden State the line up was successful in limited minutes so Green and Sengun would get a lot of minutes.

    • @_hencethename
      @_hencethename Месяц назад

      More like: Reed, Amen, Tari, Jabari, Sengun. 6th man Cam. Jalen will never be worthy of the number 2 pick we got him for. He should be trade bait. I would trade Jalen for a nice small forward like jaylen Brown, or Derrick white someone like those guys maybe Malik monk or even Cam johnson

    Jalen Green is young enough that he might amount to something, but there are several players taken after him who are already stars. Mobley for certain. Wagner, less so.
