Hi Warren and Coleen: It never ceases to amaze me how many buckles the old timers lost! The buckle makers back in the day must have been quite busy LOL. As always, I enjoyed spending time with you both out in the bush....thank you!
Nice Virginia dig. Pity there were no coins to age it over the years. Those buckles can get very huge. I,m sure they were used on harness for Clydesdale.. nice TIGER pendant LOL!
Interesting history and seems like a really good location with some nice finds. I would imagine coins would be few. Enjoyed watching thank you both. 👌👍
I have seen Australian made corrugated iron here in Hawaii. A 1920s Honolulu Iron Works magazine has them testing and rating roof iron in a big exposed frame not far from the water and they were judged on how soon they rusted out. An 1897 hydropower plant remained up until 2018. It had few windows and the 6x6 Douglas fir kingposts eventually gave up in 2018. The City & county hauled away the remains, not before much of the iron sheets ere scavenged by locals. The Pelton Water Wheel and G.E. Dynamos were scavenged over the course of years since the local governments seized all old water facilities in the mid '60s.
Be nice to go back when grass has been cleared or burned off Nice finds guys I think the tube Colleen found might have been a cigar tube ?? Cheers 🍻 CrouchOz
Another great video showing the history of this great country
Warren, that silver lion ring and the sterling spoon are crackers! Great relic finds, both of you well done!

what you find.
