Its not about choosing Malaysia, many entrance university programme in Malaysia allowed this mainland China student to further their study in European and US university. The cost is considerable cheaper and the evaluation is easier compare than back in their country. Hence, they come here as a stopover before further their study elsewhere. Some of their parents explore business opportunities when their children study here. It is as simple as that.
Students from China should never study in US. Due to the current conflict between China and US governments, the Chinese students are treated as spies. Chinese students intergorrated by FBI. Many Chinese who lives in US after their studies returned home to China.
You are talking about cost instead of higher and better education. A degree from a U in Malaysia has less recognition as it is a fact that Malaysia does not have a high level of éducatif recognition.
My father was educated at Xiamen university. This university was financial sponsor by a Malaysian Chinese.Even when my dad wanted to start a pharmacy related business licence in the 1930 with his Xiamen degree the British doubt his degree and he have to sit a UK base exam and pass with flying Color. I believe Xiamen university have a branch CAMPUS IN Kuala Lumpur Chinese national can enrol in.The science research work is very well recognised too.
You did not mention the quota of admissions reserved for Bumiputras. That in itself reduces the availability of places for non Malays, least of all, Chinese nationals. This does not support what you are saying and if anything, these are mainland Chinese who are "paying" to get in, having been rejected by other universities elsewhere in the world.
Most Chinese would be applying for places in international schools or private universities. A master's degree with a twinning UK or Australia university is relatively affordable.
Hi there, thank you for the comment. You might have missed it but the context of the video is focused on Mainland Chinese students enrolling in private international schools/universities where we understand that the Bumiputera quota does not apply. I had also met with student from Turkey, Mexico, Korea, Ireland, Brazil, Wales and even Japan who study here. so nothing surprise about this ... even we Malaysian not realize that many foreign students choose to study in Malaysia nowadays ..
The real reasons are: 1. Many Chinese comes to realize how successful Malaysian Chinese who they met most in Singapore, UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. 2. Since now these western countries lead by USA doing trade war etc with China, the mainland Chinese looks to Malaysia. 3. Mainland Chinese are amaze how Malaysian Chinese can be proficient in at least 4 to 5 languages. The want their children to be multilingual also. 4. When the mainland Chinese visit Malaysia, they come to know the truth that how the local Chinese dominated and contributed to the success of Malaysia. Malaysia will be earnings billions from mainland China tourism, education and long stay program. The west will lose out in billions soon and will further drive their import deficits with China.
The real truth is the cost of living in Malaysia is so much cheaper than Singapore which has better and stringent entry qualification. But I believe the Chinese students are born into competitive environment back home, coming to Malaysia will permit them better exposure to more international scenario.
Hi there, thank you for the comment. The video was referring to youth unemployment in Malaysia, not unemployment in general. They are not entirely coming to Malaysia to study. They are from rich chinese families going to Malaysia to network to explore business opportunities etc. They are not expected to get a job from the open market in Malaysia which is already very very tough for Local grads...after getting their degree they are going home for the family business or setting up business in Malaysia. So getting educated is kind of by the way kind of thing.
It's probably the same in Indonesia. At least in Jakarta, there have been more and more Chinese engineers and workers coming in to work on a variety of different projects, industrial and residential. Why the China jump into malaysia for their further their studies? Why can't you done in China? soviet union to diversify Malaysia as your tools to diversify to other country such as USA, Australia and London?
Soviet Union? 😂😂😂😂
Do you tell fellow Malaysians not to jump to UK, Australia to study? Come on, it
I would prefer to study in China any day of the week over studying in Malaysia. Chinese graduates are top notch. Now, look at MARA graduates.
MARA is only a place for Malays and Muslims to learn to read and write, only Allah knows what language to use.
Are you ok? 🤕
They dont go to mara lah...
No one goes to MARA. Malaysia has a network of both private and public unis, most of which are very good. It's stupid to say, the whole crate of apples are bad, when there are only less than 5% are.
@@level1selamat155 Eh, ok ok.
*To the average Mainland Chinese or Mainland Indians THEY WILL NEVER GET A CITIZENSHIP. Unless of cause if they excel academically OR excel in Sport that can contribute extensively to the country future. Another path is if they marriy the local Chinese or local Indians. Even that will be a long process. This is to avoid Marriage of Convenience scam. The most they can get is the permanent.resident.*
You are not accurate in the report. The unemployment not really that bad in private higher education institutions. Mainly those from government institutions run by government has problems to convince the employers of their qualifications under the government affirmative actions. So all Chineses from China enrol in private school, they won’t face the same problems. In fact they got better demand in China employment market.
My spell is working *maniacle laughing
Of all university these Chinese chose Malaysian university? Cheaper I think. But don't they know that anything that is cheap is not good and anything good is not cheap. Silly choice.
They do their homework lah. They look at the rankings. And the twinning universities.
Malaysia has a network of both private and public unis, most of which are very good. It's stupid to say, the whole crate of apples are bad, when there are only less than 10% are.
This is Mlysia Not Chines Country
The "private" universities are mostly " related" to their western counterparts. Complete your studies at a "more affordable" country and away from the " chinese live matters" issues in the Western world are swaying the chinese parents to sent their loved ones to the Malaysia with 7 million chop sticks carrying mandarins speaking "distance relatives" country. BTW, low cost of living, cheap MM2H (a safe house if "you know, you know") is a no-brainer.
Hope it makes sense !
International schools in SG, crazy expensive,
a comparision example, look to medical tourism, Singapore vs Malaysia. We have top hospital infrastructures with some of the best medical personnel. Cheap 5 stars hotels, much lower pharmaceuticals, excellent air travels, where will you send your not well loved ones to ? Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Indonesia, etc. ?
Peace !
The video completely ignored the international universities twinning programs with well inown western institutions.
Moreover the PISA ranking ( restricted to 15 years old ) in public schools have no bearings in the private international schools and universities yet you used it as a refernce.
I find this video either highly biased or lack the quality in research.
Because MY is cheap for these wealthy Chinese. Dat the main reason. Surely they will go international school which is much cheaper than in China..if there any ? Cheap is the main reason.
Those are not even rich Chinese, they are middle class. Rich Chinese go to posh boarding schools in western countries.
@@sart3735
I do agree.
Just like many Malaysians going to Russia to study Medicine.
@sart3735 well..their middle class might be much wealthy than average Malaysian...my wild guess. Dat is why they can get out of mainland.
@@limbehh8494Your guess is Wrong,! Even Malaysia the middle income parents will sell.the house or take big loans to.send children overseas. Its the same mentality with the parents in china.
@@truthful3777 dat is too big a sacrifice.
This channel from Singapore is obssesed with Malaysia, focus on your own issue pls.
Hmmm ,, its all part of the "Road and Belt initiative "...!!!😊😊😊
Cheap. Chinese who go to Malaysia for education are middle class.
There goes malaysia..
Modest educational reputation .Hmmmm.
Jai Hind. These Chinese all want to study English. But they can only enrol in high costs private institutions.
Singapore ❤
The voice has many wrong assumptions. Please withdraw the vid.
The title of this video is completely false information. First of all, every year, enrollment rate in tertiary education in China is about 45 to 47 million students mind you, Chinese universities are already being filled up by the brightest students and those in the west by the rich parents, where do you think the rest of the 45 million enrolments go to?
Also, to the World Knows More, you forget that China has a 22 million Muslim population, where but Malaysia would be the best suitable for the Chinese Muslim students? Just look the the Islamic Universities in Malaysia, filled with Chinese Muslim students.
Propaganda channel
[1] There's nothing Shocking of more foreign students choosing Msian universites/colleges to further their studies. I forecast this trend approx a decade ago already. There are e.g. Monash et al in M'sia so need not go to Aust? The Quality std of the private universities is pretty high becoz of the tie-up with foreign counter-parts say, Newcastle (Medical) and/or Malborough (Engineering). [2] But the 2nd half of the video is sadly about fear-mongering and propaganda as it tries to associate with poitics and politicians such as Dr M? 🤦♀🤦♀[3] Lastly, with or w/o more foreign students in M'sia, M'sians have been flocking to work in S'pore for decades becoz of the offer of higher salaries/wages. Wasalam🙏🙏
Mahathir lost big time in the general election. Lost his deposit.
country corrupt in the world
BS 😮😮😮
because when malaysia is in trouble
singapore assist existing-policy
for strategic-defence
all naval and air = assist with conventional
Chinese lanjiao
That vulgar term only works for Malaysian and Singaporean Chinese. Mainland Chinese not offended by this term
.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The previous PM says Malaysia Education is on par with Germany.. 💪
Ur comments here demonstrate ur sense of superiority over this country cuz it's from Asia , even the world rangking index of this country u rubbish them. FYI we had students from all over the world, Arabs states, Japanese, South Korean, African, UK, Indonesian & other ASEAN countries. Did u know that's a University from China (the first outside China) operating here. So did varsity from Australia, UK etc etc. Bad reporting always want to sow the conspiracy theory again again for just 02 minutes of fame a fixed for the day to ur Veneered ego !
How many ideas or innovations have come from Malaysian universities, I wonder?
come to Malaysia and BUY illegal citizenship and be protected and welcomed by the local Chinese
Its simply because its very affordable for a highly questionable education. The entire education industry in malaysia is ONLY PROFIT based. Its ridiculous for anyone to come here to study as the majority of the educators themselves need to be educated. You can deny till the pigs fly, but the reality is very painful. Continue denying it and become totally irrelevant. The entry requirements are mainly a good cheque book.
Inaccurate video.
Is your Report accurate ???. Malaysia has Universities for Muslim Malays or Bumiputras only. Currently, there is NO UNIVERSITIES for Chinese or English Languages. ONLY MUSLIM MALAYS COUNTRY AND NOT FOR OTHER LANGUAGE. Check before making this Report. Malaysian Chinese has to go Overseas or other Countries for English Subjects. Stop FAKE NEWS.
Hi there, thank you for the comment. You may have missed it but the video focuses on private international schools and universities in Malaysia that relies on English as a medium of instruction. If we understand you correctly, you may be referring to the public schools in Malaysia where English is typically not the main language use for teaching but even then, we understand there is the DLP where schools can teach key subjects in English if they meet certain criteria. But don't take our word for it, do go ahead to google it to fact-check. Cheers!
are you living in a cave? there are many international students in malaysia, mainly in private colleges and universities, but also in public universities for higher levels like masters or phd. Malaysia is a muslim majority country with an open approach toward other races and other countries. International students have studied here since the 90s, more in the 20s and definitely flocking here more now. You need to get out of your cave and meet and talk to real people, read news find out the truth before commenting😂😂😂! The international students use english at the language in the universities, the same as other students in malaysia.
Go check at all public universities and private universities in Malaysia, english is the medium for learning and education.
