I heard you mention Vortex springs and Morrison springs. I did a lot of scuba diving at those places back in the 70's. Crystal clear water and so beautiful there! Terynia and myself just got home from Crestview Florida. Had a little RUclips hangout we were invited to.
Small world. I used to dive those places also. My brother and I put a big log across the entrance to the cave at Morrison springs. I saw a video a few years back and it was still there!
We live in Crestview and visit Ponce DeLeon springs fairly often. My favorite is to visit in the fall after school has started. If you go on a weekday you can have the place to yourself and see the fish swimming in the spring. Quiet bbq lunch and walk the trail.
This place and nearby Morrison Springs are absolutely insane during the summer months. Pretty much have to visit on a weekday before 10am if you want to avoid the crowds.
Ponce de Leon Springs' water temperature remains a constant 68. Quite shocking LOL Wakulla Springs is my favorite, the riverboat ride on the untouched river.
You’d think back in the 1920s with all the tourism starting down there, hotels would have bought up the land beside all those springs in Florida and laid tons of pipe in the springs to pump air through for AC.

We've been to blue springs. It is great. They have a high diving platform. You gotta go.

I was real confused for a minute but apparently there’s a Ponce de Leon springs state park and a De Leon springs state park in Florida.
