Hello. Lovely video Ted. Are you a volunteer at Katwijk Smalspoor Leiden?, because it seems like you have a good understanding of Dutch. 2 representatives of Katwijk Smalspoor Leiden who were working with the Dutch Embassy in Indonesia made a brief trip to Java at the end of 2015. They were proposing of restoring some of Indonesia's Railways so that they could be enjoyed by the public. I hope it comes true.
Thanks - yes, I volunteer at the railway and yes I am Dutch myself. I cannot comment on the trip to Indonesia you mention since I wasn't involved in that.
Oh okay, so you're Dutch? Your name sounds like British to me. Anyway, thanks for the answer, and I'm sure the Katwijk Smalspoor Leiden is an enjoyable place to visit. Would love to visit there someday.
Our main track gauge is 700mm. The only 600mm we have is a short length from the diesel loco shed and traverser, on a diamond crossing with the 700mm gauge siding to the carriage shed, ending in a stub track along the paved road. This is used to show our small collection of 600mm gauge items. A short train of 600mm gauge skips features at the end of the video.
most enjoyable thank you for the upload
