Yes I have missed this series! Such a special one. Collaging is probably one of the best ways to start and my favourite too because you can do it quite mindlessly, and it can look as "messy" as you like as it can just be your first layer that you do another layer over later or something. And yes.. rip the papers!! I get a weird therapeutic thrill ripping papers 😂. It's great to get your mind thinking to use something the way it isn't maybe "meant" to be used, and that helps break the fear too. One of my favourite advice that you gave that helped me was just.. "what have you got to lose?" It always feels amazing once you overcome that fear you will feel so proud of yourself.. even if you end up not liking your page, you should feel proud for even starting. For even glueing one thing down. And very importanty, don't be afraid to praise yourself and feel good about your own art! The more you criticise yourself when you do art, the less likely you will want to do it again. You should feel good about your art. Praise yourself for even gathering the courage to rip papers or pick up a glue stick. It takes courage just go get yourself there at your desk, convincing yourself to try in the first place. It can be difficult for many of us to go forward and take a risk, especially with something we've never done before. Maybe judging ourselves before we even get started. Art can be such a personal form of self expression. It's neither right nor wrong. I've been crafting for many years before these type of channels but I've been there. It can help to have support and encouragement. That's one thing about your channel that I find important for beginners and for anyone. We can all learn something new and get inspiration. You're wonderful. I say, this is the time to let go of things that hold us back and look to new beginnings for 2021! Take good care.
Breaking a blank page allows me to use up papers that are not usually to my liking - I can change them with coloring or gesso or texture until all of a sudden, I think they were perfect for the project! The breaking a blank page series was the process that got me hooked with Maremi (I originally found her when searching for card making). Since that time, Marta has opened up a world of possibilities and enjoyment!

I am so glad that you brought this series of videos back again. The three pieces are so pretty! Thanks for reminding me about how you can arrange numerous layers that are smaller and place something special on top. I am referring to the parts of the works of art that you stapled together. Adding those combined layers to a larger creation makes a superb focal point and just adds that special touch. I really enjoyed watching this video. Thanks so much for sharing your time with us.
Fun-- I have a book-pack like that, but it is Botanicals and is all kids of greens and plant-oriented! Now i have some ideas of how to use it. 😄 🌱🌿 And I have to say that your videos are so often good company and comforting to me in my days.

I'm not really afraid to try, I just am working out in my mind and my hands what I'm really interested in. I only started gathering supplies in the paper craft department January of 2019. So far I'm made lots of Memory Albums, but not much else. I'm in the mode of watching many things to see what I'd like to try next.

You taught me to try. To use my supplies or they will be unusable later by becoming brittle. To be me and do what I like in my own style. To take chances if I fail so what. Start again Thank you for being bold enough to say don’t be afraid. I don’t know when I grew afraid to try. I use to create all the time and now I’m not satisfied with anything. I ask myself why and I honestly think it’s this whole year and last. Things just kept going wrong. I gave up myself I think.

What materials/supplies do you keep close at hand and use in almost every project? How do you prepare for a filming? Do you choose colors as you go along or do you choose a color scheme from the paper you use? What are products you absolutely have to have on hand? What is the sequence of application of layers?

The night prior when i was worki g on the circle piece from your 2017 video... i had to make it my own as it wasn't coming out just like yours. As you kept talking it was a confirmation that we are all very different are our own unique individuals. Breaking the page means we all (or someone of us) have that fear of creating something imperfect or a fear of using up our materials as they cost so much. Whatever that fear or avoidance is, your encouragement means a lot. We can get together on Instagram and share out success. In means growth. Thank you Marta for your support and tutorials...... Best is to try and see then. You cannot really know without arting 😊 just go for small experiments

Such pretty papers. I want that book. Paper Collectors. Who doesn't love paper?? ☺️😁💖 Vey cool scrapbook. This looks like just random fun project to do. Scrapbooking section here I come. lol. This would be fun. Can draw on them or anything. So many ideas. Never thought of using scrapbook papers, stickers, tapes to do something like this. And I love papers. Don't ask. lol.
I am falling in love with this series! I've been doing creative journaling for, what.. maybe 6 or so years? And blank pages still ocasionally scare me :D It's very fun to watch you journal and get inspired by your work! Love your channel!

What materials/supplies do you keep close at hand and use in almost every project? How do you prepare for a filming? Do you choose colors as you go along or do you choose a color scheme from the paper you use? What are products you absolutely have to have on hand? What is the sequence of application of layers?
That green page with the circles, in the journal, is so gorgeous💚 I need to craft, haven't done anything since Christmas. The night prior when i was worki g on the circle piece from your 2017 video... i had to make it my own as it wasn't coming out just like yours. As you kept talking it was a confirmation that we are all very different are our own unique individuals. Breaking the page means we all (or someone of us) have that fear of creating something imperfect or a fear of using up our materials as they cost so much. Whatever that fear or avoidance is, your encouragement means a lot. We can get together on Instagram and share out success. In means growth. Thank you Marta for your support and tutorials......
