This is exactly the video I wanted to see, and it’s what I expected out of the hybrid vs the ghost. Great video dude.
Ghost looks a lot like a start ball for lane checks. Switch to Hybrid or Solid after 3 frames of Ghost. That being said, the Ghost is a great trainer. You can replicate the super sharp angles if you throw the Ghost slower. That hybrid is definitely a lane check choice, although it seems to look great coming off first shot.

Thats so dope you're running an OG WIDOW!! That was my favorite ball back in the day!! The 2.0 is exacccccctly like the OG from what I remember and can't recommend it enough, the ghost is ridiculous as well hahahah
So I started to figure out what you meant by "sharper" when describing the Hybrid, but as a bowling Newb I was lost for a good portion of the video. It would be cool if you explained the Lingo you used while using it in the video. Thanks for the review.
Agree on your take: ghost is smoother. Hybrids are sometimes a pleasant surprise.

About the 5th shot or 6th you put it out there and it hit the pocket but right when you left the 7-10 the both fell at the SAME time, even the reply was CRAZY Bro. Unbelievable. I’ve never seen that at the same identical fall.
4:52 I really this ball. I have a very mixed bag. The DV8 Damn Good Verge is still my go to. I also have this 2.0 Hybrid which I definitely need to work with more,and a 900 Global Eternity. I love this Hammer!
I’m an old dude and loved Hammers back in the 80s when they were FAB and urethane. I had all the Hammers back then. I purchased a Hammer No Mercy quite a few years ago and didn’t like that ball at all, so I haven’t had another Hammer since. I may try them again, but not sure which one I’m leaning towards. Not fan of the color of the Ghost so that one has always been out for me. So it’s between the 2.0, the 2.0 hybrid, the 3D Attack or the Envy Tour. Great comparison vids. Keep up the awesome content. I like the cross brand comparisons.
Amazing how smooth the Ghost is compared to the Hybrid and Solid.
They actually roll like Ghost is solid, 2.0 is Hybrid and Hybrid is Pearl.

All of them have the same layout.
Who would think the pearl would be the earliest and the solid go longer and flip more.

I didn't like my 2.0 hybrid at first. Local bowling center had a strange oil pattern out for a month.. now that I have more friction to the right, this ball is a smooth yet hard hitting monster. Take my ghost and 2.0 hybrid with me every league night

I have the Black Widow 2. It has a sweet hook. It will get away from you if the lanes are little dry.
Picked up the Widow Darkness LOVE IT! and similar to like you said about the Ghost and Hybrid it'll make a nice combo. Just hope I'll be able to keep the Darkness in play.
Exactly what I was looking for in a video. I have the Ghost and wanted to see them both before pulling the trigger. When you do your next video with the 3d attack, will you also throw in a few shots with the 3d offset high rev too?
I have a black and gold widow. I absolutely love it. What I feel in love with is the gas mask core.

Have to agree with the others in saying that this was the video I was looking for. My Web Tour Hybrid Edition has the same layout as you have on the 2.0 Hybrid, and that's my benchmark piece, so I know how to adjust off of that. While I have the Widow 2.0 at 70x4.5x30, I also have a BW Platinum Black with the same layout as the Web Tour Hybrid Edition, along with the BW Platinum silver, which is at 70x4.5x35. I feel that the Widow 2.0 goes a bit too long for what I need, so that is where the Platinum Black comes in; I think the Widow 2.0 Hybrid with the same 60x4.5x30 layout will slot in perfectly between the Platinum Black and the Platinum Silver. I'm liking how clean the 2.0 Hybrid is.
Now, since they came out with the BW Urethane Red Pearl overseas, and it looks like the original Fab Hammers, I'm just waiting on a BW Urethane Blue Pearl to come out and hopefully it looks like the Fab Blue Pearl Hammer, then I'm set for life!
Thank you for the video. I have the 2.0 and agree that the ball is forgiving. I have it paired up with a polished Envy and they are working well for me. I and definitely considering this ball.
Ordering this today from my distributor. Since I LOVE the 3D Offset Attack with that same cover...and I LOVE the Gas Mask core (have 4 other Black Widows), this ball is perfect for me as I prefer the skid/flip style of play.
I can not wait for this ball to come out, started back with the 2.0 and now have the ghost and its a killer line up, this is only going to add to the other two!
Solid is my favorite ball. Definitely looking at the hybrid.

Just got the 2.0 hybrid two days ago and already love it. I also have the 2.0 and it’s extremely forgiving for me. Also I feel they complement each other very well. Sad I got rid of my pink widow (not urethane)

I just got the Ghost and Hybrid and I swear this is one of the best combos I've ever thrown. I start in the ghost and then get into the Hybrid once I have to move left. They give me such a good look on both my house and sport shot leagues it's insane.

Quick question I just purchased a Hammer Web black purple blue pearl no hot sauce 22 but it has the aggression hybrid cover how is this ball it got great reviews how much diff is it from this 2.0 hybrid this ball has gas mask core and the ball I bought used spheroid core any I’m out would be great thanks DMac

The 2.0 Hybrid definitely looks sharper off the spot than the Ghost. What about front to back though? Hard to see in the video, but would you say the breakpoint is earlier or later than the Ghost?

I agree with the 2.0 widow and the ghost, but the attack will have more off the spot by 3 boards than the 2.0 hybrid. Attack has a bigger core. Just my view not knocking yours Charles
I completely agree. The next video it is more apparent to me that the 3D attack is the most downlane. Always feel free to chime in. More perspective is good!

Ebonite Polaris is probably one of the strongest as well. I get way more action and revs out of it. Not knocking these either.

currently the black widow 2.0 is my only reactive ball and i'm dealing with a wet/dry scenario where if I shoot from too far left the ball doesnt make it back to the pocket and a little right the ball is way left of the pocket and I don't have a lot of margin for error. Not sure which ball to get next the Black widow hybrid or ghost or the radical bigfoot hybrid. I'm still a new bowler so my rev rate is lower but i'm working on it.
Have you tried the pink Black Widow Urethane yet? I found mine to really blend out well that wet/dry (cliffed) condition.
Late to the party on this vid/comment but if ur lower rev and only on house shots, stay right, friction is ur friend! I'm speed dominant so alittle rev challenged and I camp out rolling my balls between 5-10 board at the arrows on house shots. Less oil to the right of 15 arrow, less as u get closer to 5 arrow. Rev challenged bowlers should always remember, friction is ur friend :)
@@BigJim5754 lol I ended up buying the track Stealth pearl and the day i got it the local house is now flooding the lanes and the black widow seems to be doing the trick but it is still a tad too aggressive. the stealth pearl is box finish and not making the turn because its too shiny. going to take a 3k pad to the Stealth pearl and try that next time i don't think i have enough revs for shiny surface.
I have the Solid 2.0 and the Hybrid 2.0, and I HATE the Hybrid. It's very inconsistent on the lanes and just doesn't react how you think. It's very, very unpredictable.
I’ve experienced that as well. For me it fits a very specific gap and situations where I have to have my angles very wide and the lanes are forcing my angles to be steep. Outside of that. That ball does not come out.

@@TheHype-Bowling this is the first ball I ever got and the pro shop drilled conventional since they said I never had tip before do you think that will be a problem I’m trying to learn how to throw this ball I only use to fingers but still bowl with one hand I’m thinking I need to get the thumb added and start learning how to throw with my thumb

Hate the widows. NASCAR limits the Daytona Speedway to certain criteria, USBC should do the same with the strength of these widows.
Ghost looked better IMO
The ghost looked to labor a bit, especially off the spot compared to the Hybrid. I mean, he threw the Ghost at the same place he threw the Hybrid, and pocket 8-10. Both are clean, but you can easily see the Ghost take much longer to get into a roll.
2.0 hybrid bowling ball by Hammer do not roll good It barely respond to friction
In your case this can be the truth. Where is your traditional house located and have you been using it in league or in open play?
