I’ve been following Johanna’s work for a long time before she conceived this deck.
Your review shows the exceptional work she has done here not just with the art work, but also her writing and research into the goddesses. I have read a lot about the less well known Germanic goddesses and - because so little is known from original sources - a lot of the writing available is tosh.
I can see from what you show in the larger guide book that she has made great effort to translate historical information into suggestions for a modern day practice in a sensitive and sensible way.
I really hope with this deck she receives the support and success she deserves!

Two Finnish goddesses!!! I am so happy! The old Finnish paganism is so full of amazing deities, and I'm so sick of never seeing any of them in any goddess decks, but here we finally have not only one but two! Yay!!
But one thing I have to say, I wish there weren't quite so many Greek deities in this deck. I do love the Greek mythos, but I feel having one pantheon overpower all the others in a deck like this is a bit boring.
The artwork though is absolutely stunning!❤

Holda 😍 Frau Holle! Since I am from Germany, I know Frau Holle because of Brothers Grimm. So nostalgic...I love the idea of someone airing the beds and that makes it snow on the world beneath. Nice touch of the oracle.

It is really worth stripping back the brothers’ Grimm puritan lense and looking at the origins of the Frau Holle story to see the great goddess hidden in plain sight. I’m sure Johanne will be explaining that in her guide book.
The little book “Das Mysterium der Frau Holle” is also great.
