Never forget that in this installation, we need to remove the original filters from the airbox. I have a C300, and I'm a bit skeptical about this modification because the performance air filter will be exposed to a lot of heat, and heat isn’t great for performance. The original tube channels fresh air directly from the grille to the engine, which seems much better to me. I’d love to see a dyno test of the before and after results.
funny you say this because my air filters were clogged up and i was getting misfire codes o2 sensor codes flipped the air filters around and car running back to normal. K&N filters so im gonna buy a cleaner to get them cleaned up or just replace them if i cant get all that nasty stuff. car was sitting or over a year.
I agree steve! 4 filters going into a single inlet on the throttle body definitely seems restrictive..far as heat..once everything heats up..there cant be cooler temps acheved unless you heatshielded All filters..
@@cbbls906 exactly. It’s like having dirty filters which is restricting. Can throw a check engine light. As far as heat, he removed the air piping which allow fresh air from the front to come in. Trust me I own 2 of these cars
@@qaranhashmi905 you're creating more air flow restrictions leading to higher mpg and decreasing the output power of your engine. You're puttting a filter to filter.
Your side by side with the before and after of the “air increase” was false I have the same car, you were not revving it completely, maybe 3K no way close to redline
SavageSpanker50 I’m thinking of doing this to my c300 do u seriously notice a difference? I’m really just wanting it for fun and to sound a lil better nothing more
First you should've took the factory filters out of the air box before putting these cone filters on because now you have 4 air filters and you're actually restricting air flow now instead of increasing air flow.. also these are sucking it hot air from the engine bay. You were getting cooler air BEFORE this mod because the factory air ducts sucked in air through the front grill.
bruh thats a hot air intake relocate the filters to below the crash bar inside the bumper if there is space. what you have now is a loss in power, migth work fine on cold days as is
If you don't change the inlet air filters with kn you don't do anything with these.... You don't get any gain in horsepower... You just put extra air filter on the cold air path of inlet filter... Now you have 4 filters
Bro, you lose power, the car is already setup to recieve air from outside straight to the engine, now your air intake is breathing in hot engine air. Bad move

No heat shields? And what about the stock air filters inside the air box?
So now you have 2 air filters on each side? More restriction in air flow and loss of power due to breathing in heat from engine.
Well Steve, this car comes stock with TWO air filters. And as long as he's moving, that air will be plenty cold.
@@SuperReallyNice
You have a point there. But prove it with live data of the intake air temperature sensor readings.

You dont have to

hi i install cold air intake on my cls 500 and my question is do i take the old air filter out or do i still keep it on there?
take out
You never removed the oem filters
Did the air intake kit come with the heat shields?
You should remove the fliters in side the housing

Where can I buy this ?
Not a upgrade on performance if it's sucking in hot air

You gotta do da e class
Now you’re not getting cool and you’re also adding more air restrictions.

What about hoy air?????
I got the plug on some XL-2XL's.
What size is this?
Gain any Hp?
yes around 3-6 horse power increase
Talk about HP loss due to hot air. OEM intake has been proven to be more effective than this garbage.
This is still a hot air intake system!!!!! Stop saying "cold air"!!!!

Nice dirty engine u dont take care of ur car...choking it u never removed stock filters hot air cause power loss
this guy is chatting pure BS LMFAO
Makes no sense bro... you'll only stick warm air. And restrict power.... epic fail
This is horrible :/ this serves no positive purpose...
