My favorite songs from this album were Only 너 and Someone Like Me for the longest time. But meanwhile I love the sound of the whole album and go back to it again and again. 🥰
I've been watching along trying to hear where the "change" happens. I mean there's one album that's all "adult Twice" but I have a feeling the next album (?) is when it starts to creep in. This one is still focused on young stupid love, nothing sexy yet. I think there's a secondary interpretation of these older songs, which is wish-fulfillment for the audience. Some people want to feel pursued instead of being the one to pursue all the time; some people want to feel empowered enough to be able to pursue and to actually do something with their feelings instead of waiting for someone else's feelings. So if we step back from the "character" in the song, for which your interpretations are spot-on btw, I think you could also read it as appealing to the audience's desires. I'm a guy - I wish a woman wanted me so badly that she tries to convince me instead of me having to make the first move all the time. Here's a bunch of cute girls saying saying they love me. I'm a girl - I wish I could make the first move and do something about my feelings instead of waiting for this idiot to notice me, which he may never do. Here's a bunch of cute girls actually having the courage to do just that.

Three Times a Day is so underrated. This is one of my most played TWICE songs and lowkey might be my favorite b-side personally. It just hits diff.
