They don't all come with these amps and cabs installed... When i got mine it had a load of crap amps and cabs no big bottom, i just use it as an glorified interface and effects box cabs and amps turned off.
I tried the same thing with the bass pod xt this weekend and it came out pretty well. I used the tube injection tube amp model, bass overdrive, boosted mid range, lux spring reverb, some gritty sounding modulation, turned the drive up as much as I could without incurring feedback, a class A 2x15 cab model for extra punch, and a few other things here and there. It really gets going when I use my behringer v tone preamp/bass driver
I must try these settings later with my xt live.....since i got it years ago i never really took the time to work out the sounds i wanted because i was between work and shows so didnt really have time to really look into what it can do until now.......that tone is soooooo good
Give it a go bro and tell me how you like it! would like to do an updated version on this video as i learned that you get more mids by dialing the treble knob back around 10oclock is the sweet spot it seems.
Holy fuck this is sick!! Anyway I can get this without buying the pack and with active pickups? I have blackouts in my 8 string and 909s(eventually 909xs) in my 9 string.
@@kujirastudios I meant anyway to get this type of tone with the onboard amps? And I was referring to the pickups as well because I keep being told it's hard to get this kind if tone with active pickups.
Aaron Morgan hmm honestly im not sure I’ve only gotten close with the criminal which is also on the metal pack😓. Well with my emg 707s it sounds pretty good never tried the blackouts but it shouldn’t be that off
this makes me want a pod xt rlly bad even tho i already have archetype gojira lol, i cant seem to get a tone like this from it also is the riff at 3:37 in an actual song cuz i love it lol
Hey man I’m new to this sort of stuff so sorry if this is a dumb question. The Line 6 website says that the metal shop pack is compatible with pod farm as well. Do you know if this amp sim would sound exactly the same in pod farm as it does in the pod xt? I really love this tone but I don’t want to waste money on pod farm if it will sound different.
Ben BUISINE this could definitely work as a base for a thall tone! This tutorial was meant to get you into the djent/thall ball park as simple as possible.
@@rhitosparsha I believe the guys from uneven structure use to use that mic cab combo but if you want the monuments/tesseract combo 4x12 t75 with sm57 off axis is where its at. hope this helps.
This is THE Monuments tone! Holy shit dude, gotta get a Pod XT.
Similar to cildhjartas tone too. Prolly less gain, bit more mids, nn youre good to go

I think John sets the treble to zero on the big bottom.
Edit: not that the above detracts in anyway from the great tone achieved in this video 👍
Dude i straight up bought one of these on ebay because of this video. Got everything set up perfectly, thanks!
That's awesome man!! Glad to hear that i helped you in getting a tone that you were looking for!!
Finally A tone i am willing to comment about. Nice Job
Thanks bro i appreciate that!

Just tried it out but had earphones in so i couldnt really judge it properly but i saved it for when i next have my laptop
What is your pedal going into?
@@cynosure1572 Pedal? I only use the built in screamer style pedal on the pod for this
Oh i mean what is the pod going into....

No sorry you need the metal pack unless you have a newer helix model which comes with the badonk

@@kujirastudios what compressor are you using? I've never used one. And what are the setting for the cab, like sag, Bias, etc?
is this a pod xt live or pro? I have a bean but I can't find the EQ section under manual mode no matter what I try.

i cannot find my big bottom amp in my podxt? is it by default or i need to purchase/download
ronell cruz I believe it’s with the metal pack on the line 6 website!
nice stuff, could you explain the full chain please? which PA ?
Ben BUISINE it was just my Ibanez rg7421 with a dimarzio d activator in the bridge straight into the line 6 pod xt bro🤘
PriskaOfficialBand and the pod ouputs into which guitar amp(s) or mixer/monitors ? Im curious xD
@@benjaminbuisine Pod output goes directly into my presonus audiobox! And i have presonus monitors 4.5. Hope that answers everything bro.
@@kujirastudios perfect, thanks a lot
Did you use metal pack? Didn't find that amp in my pod.
Yes big bottom is under the metal pack and it is so worth it! nothing out there has this specific tone.
PriskaOfficialBand were can I find it? Awesome tone ;) thanks

do you have this tone uploaded somewhere?

2x12 blackface with 67 condenser bro

Finally bought the hd pack for pod hd500x. Any way you could explain/convert the eq part as in what your dailing? Where is it before or after the amp?
warning: using a 250$ harley benton lp copy is not gonna get you this tone, itll soundlike doodoo LOL
