The online concert Avi gave in March was a fundraiser for scholarships to this academy for the kids. They are kids from around the world who auditions online. I’ve listened to several of their songs throughout the years and these kids are wonderful.❤👏🏾👏🏾🌹
All 18 and under, from all over the world. Not only did Avi co-found ACA, but he also teaches and coaches every summer during those 10 days. He schedules his touring to make that possible. As I said in my request, Avi has said that A Cappella Academy is his proudest achievement so far in his life.

Since its founding in 2014 by Avi, PTX producer/arranger Ben Bram, and composer/arranger Rob Dietz (who co-arranged and conducted this song), ACA has spawned at least 3 contestants on "The Voice" (one of whom won), and the girl group Citizen Queen (put together by Ben Bram and Scott Hoying of PTX). At the camp, kids not only get coaching on singing, but also on performance, music theory, arranging, and specialties like beatboxing and bass singing (which Avi teaches whenever he can, and can you imagine having him as your coach?)
Such a beautiful experience to watch and hear these talented young singers pour their hearts into this beautiful song. I find it very moving every time I watch it. This song is available for any choir groups to sing. Contact Rob Dietz (the arranger and conductor here) for the sheet music which is available for a very reasonable fee. He even arranged me a simplified version for our not very talented village choir for nothing more than a donation to ACA funds! Avi writes beautiful songs. If you have heard Aberdeen, Lean on Me, It Knows Me, Otherside and Get Down, then the time has come to listen to Tomi P and Efe Sayin's tribute to Avi ( Bass Singers Avi Kaplan Medley). Its amazing and a true testament to the singer they credit as being an inspiration to them. Do watch it to the end though, or you'll miss the Easter eggs!

First time I heard this I cried all the way through. There’s a few videos of him working with the children, he’s one of three academy Dads and the children adore him, enjoyed your reaction, your smile said it all

The children love him, they’re not all children some are young adults but as I’m old enough to be their grandmother they’re children 💜
