Pulled my hair out taking apart the whole chair with the provided instructions. Took half an hour to put back together, then 3 minutes to do what you did! Thank you

Thanks for this clear and complete video, you saved me from hours wasted to try understanding the poor Britax paper user manual.

Your videos should be the ones on the Britax romer RUclips page not the voice over dude because you just explain the whole process so easily

Absolutely brilliant video thank you, the factory tape had been undone with my order from Amazon so wasn't sure if anything was missing, such as the secure guard, but you've just shown exactly where it is! I was also hoping there had been some padding taken from under the bum area of the seat, but it looks as if it really is meant to be that hard!! Not so good. But thank you for the video!

Great video, much better than the official ones. I would like to add one pro safety tip if you have advansafix IV R: the pockets in the backrest to store the 5point belt buckle are not large enough for the buckle to fully fall in (as there are structural plastic ribs in the backrest).. it fits but a small (but rather sharp and pointy) portion of the buckle (both halves) protrudes to the backrest. You put 3 layers of padding over it (when i count the belt pads) but i could still feel it when pushed. This is far from ideal as these pieces would be able to stab your child in the back in the event of an accident. So the best solution is to remove the buckle completely - it is fortunately not that difficult. The shoulder straps are connected together at the back of the seat with a metal piece from which they can be undone and both partsof the buckle then removed. Without doing this I find the conversion on the Advansafix IV R model unsafe.

      Hi,
I’ve not found that issue with the advansafix and cannot feel any sharp edges - there is a knack to getting them to fit I found. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone to remove a harness from a car seat if they have any intention of using the harness again in future, as there is no guarantee of it being reinstalled correctly (in my experience, it is not installed correctly!)

Amazing video, Kat! I've just replaced the older carseat with the Avansafix and was clueless as to how to turn it into one that would take a car seat belt for my four year old son. Your video was clear and made it happen. Thanks! :D

Hi! Great video! I have a question. I installed the car seat of the video and when I drive and hit small road bumps I hear a noise like squeaking. Like to plastics touch each other. Do you have any idea where the noise comes from? Headrest? Maybe from the space where the base and the seat come together?

    thanks for this.
somehow my problem is that the headrest keeps our daughters head forward, so if she falls asleep, her head is very badyly just dropping forward. that was in the 5 point version and today we'll try it in the 3 point version to see, but it already seems somehow the headrest is just making her head to lean too much forward, so she'll be dropping it once asleep :/
