This looks like it will be a banger of a trip Greg based on what you have shared. Loved the drone footage in this today, those follow me clips behind the Land Cruiser were awesome, especially the segment where the drone was following the slope of a hill. Great flying 👏👏

That's a lovely spot! I thought the flooded salt flats at Death Valley were nice! Gorgeous drone work, time lapses and images! Safe travels.

Agree. First thought on my mind was: why go to S. Pedro, having to cross borders, stay in car queues, if you have a place like Altiplano! Good decision!

💯 San Pedro is great but not for this trip.

WOW - what an incredible place. I just love salt flats with a thin layer of water - they give epic shots, especially at either end of the day with the right light ❤️

I'm glad you had such a great time on this adventure! It is great to see that you have been able to iron out all the places you will decide to return to for a future trip there. What a photogenic area!

Beautiful shots and great drone footage. While the location in Chile is so incredible it looks like it entails hours of dusty roads. A person would probably come back feeling like he needed a vacation from his vacation. Somebody had a good idea with the hotels and it looks though like both are first class places to stay. Thanks for posting. (I also have used 2 soft grads and a polarizer before, of course though, I AM a dinosaur) :-)

Hey Greg, what a wonderful series about your scouting in Chile and Bolivia. I will try to free myself for the tour in 2026 so that I can be there. Can you please tell me the name of the piece of music at around 7 minutes - I can't find it on Shazam and it fits so perfectly with your landscape shots. Thank you and kind regards from Germany. Frank

How do you handle the difference in altitude? Living in Hamburg everything higher than 3000m is really felt by me, especially going up this fast by car. This trip looks like a blast. Beautiful pictures. Time well spent.

We got acclimatised in La Paz. Also drinking lots of water and not doing much exercise.

I didn't think there was such a thing as shitty weather on photography trips, just challenging light sometimes. 😂👍
