1985/6 best season ever to be a West Ham fan. My last year at school & it was an era where you could get up on a Saturday and decide to go home or away…
Chelsea away at Easter - still the best all round West Ham performance I’ve ever seen live.

Good Prog guys and enjoy Interviews and banter inbetween times .
As a Scot i so recall Frank
and he was a very good striker for Celtic and done well in England also .
I sor recall the 1978 World cup in Argentina and watched Scotland v great Dutch side when Scotland won
and had to win by 3 clear goals v a very good Holland side and were at one point 3/1 up when not left to play i watching this from an aportable tv high up in hallway and then others came to watch when score was close to what was in need then Jonny Repp
rifled the ball into top corner of Alan Roguhs Net which then was done and dusted 3/2 Scotland win but not enough of
win needed to get through groups because of other games v lesser teams ..
But Scotlands best World cup was in Germany in 1974 did not lose a game inc v a very good Brazil side 0/0
and a very good Yugoslavia side 2/2 and won v Zaire 2/0 in first game ..if only Zaire was final game in group who knows as Scotland at half time in that match took their foot of the ball in thoughts weve won lets calm down ..Shouldve went for goals and would have got through i think if they did in that match as later goal difference put us out only .
Anyhow --> Take good care Frank .
As for Tony Cottee I also so recall that name on Sports channel from scoring goals also . Top strikers both and good to look back into your careers and have chat about it all and a good laugh i bet . Awe the best .

You should really put the guest's name front and centre in the title and thumbnail of the video! It's hard to tell who the guest is when browsing.
    Another good podcast 👍

England have the best selection of players but they don't have the best team. A lot of that falls with the manager.

I think a lot of English pppl get confused or , I don’t hate English ppl or footballers , infact if we are talking for the moment on just footballers , i think the current group and one before were definitely strong World Cup winning possibilities and I felt for a lot of them when they went out as they gave 💯 effort. The major problem I have and I think there will be others who feel this too so the English sports media , they are so arrogant and never seem to learn , before every major tournament they don’t just get behind the team or write good articles they tell everyone who wants to listen and those who don’t as well how they will win the tournament and easily as they are so amazing and ruled the wave hundreds of years ago etc etc
They put so much unneeded pressure on there players and annoy other countries fans by acting as if they are superior in every way . Then at the first sign of a bad result they go in hard and often on a specific player or specific players to the point of putting up stories often on wives , siblings, parents and kids .
This is what makes me hate the media and yeah it can boil over to where I will be happy the England team got beat but I have no hatred towards them or the majority of fans
