I’ve never had that dimension measured. Nor have I had a real Line. Just like her my dentist adjusted the sewer spots as needed and will continue to do that. He said. However, I’m concerned now about that dimension not ever being measured.

Hi I just happened on your channel!! if there were only dentists like you when people in my age group for younger, most of us would probably have our own teeth. I am 71 years old and just had to have the remaining 9 teeth removed on my bottom. I have had a top denture since I was 15 and a partial lower denture. I am only five days in in this pain unbelievable but I know I will get through it. I wondered how often you recommend a new denture ?? Thank you for your channel and for your advice

Oh no, I was never told this either. Two separate sets of dentures were made in 18 years and in different places. My Mom is 92 and I think this is her problem too. She just got new dentures and she just can't make them work. She spent a fortune on a new set.

I just had the impressions done for the final dentures so am due for the wax fit in a few days. I'm so worried they won't fit since the immediates and the second set they had to make haven't worked. These second ones have no chew at all and the bottoms, well, just no. I'm having breakfast now with them out. I haven't been able to eat with either set for the entire time. It'd be nice to one day to eat a french fry out in public, that's how little chew they have. I do better without dentures.
Why are there only 4 molds to make impressions? There are different sized shoes because everyone is different so why not a few more molds? Sorry, but for $20,000 you'd think they could have a variety of molds to get a better impression.
They put in a reline on the bottoms on this second set but it didn't do a thing. Well, they didn't listen so it was put on top of the gum area rather than on the side that sticks out so far that there's not enough adhesive to fill in the gap and my tongue scrapes the edge. Vitamins roll up in it so it's a matter of taking the denture out and starting over again. I have a wide lower gum where the teeth were but it angles narrower toward the jaw so that's part of the problem. Any ideas for that?
The second set top and bottom came together at one teeny tiny point on one tooth so they filed it down but they still don't chew. I think the back part, as you said in this video, is being stretched because my back jaw joint is starting to hurt. The back teeth are very short, barely above the pink so I call them bird teeth. Also, the denture doesn't seem to fit with the slight over bite as you also spoke about. They fit together when sitting on the table but not in my mouth. I've lost all confidence in this office.
What should I tell the dentist when I go in? They never tell me anything and don't listen so I understand the elderly lady. I

It really sounds like your bite is not correct. They go together outside of your mouth but not in the mouth. That tells me the bite was not correctly captured in the mouth. Have the provider check the bite, and you can look at it too. It should go together like gears in your mouth. If it doesn’t then the bite is off❤

@@ShowYourTeeth8000 Thank you. "The bite is off", I'll have to use term. Thanks, again.

I'm a new denture wearer and my problem is my bottom dentures I think it's because I had 10 teeth on bottom when the dentist took the impression and I only had one on the top so the top ones fit fine but the bottoms just aren't feeling good and the dentist said it's nothing more he can do until they're sent back to the lab after 6 months of my gums healing. They have a soft reline but they still rub against my lip and make my mouth not close right just uncomfortable all around I was also told not to really expect the bottoms to feel like or fit as good as the tops? Not really sure if that's good or bad ?
