Mate, absolutely no need to apologise. Life gets in the way, you get in your own way, the universe pops a random event and that gets in the way. You do you man. The videos are well worth waiting for 👊
Remember to add your new districts as operating districts for your primary schools (I know the video came out 2 weeks ago but if you didn't fix it I hope you see this)
Came across your channel last night and watched the first 3 episodes of this series. And I don't even have this game! I don't think this level of detail is for me, but I'm enjoying watching you do it.
Really exciting to see development of Blackwater! Keep up the great work Darren! Btw I REALLY like that you've renamed the streets and districts. That's the kind of attention to details I like myself when playing and IMO this creates some sense of the place and identity of the city. The 'automatic' names are too random and boring and don't really fit well in the UK-style city that you're creating so keep it going! And like the visuals related to day/night cycle, they look really nice and realistic. Understand it's probably difficult for you to build during night so turning it off then is obvious but some cinematics during night time would be awesome!
Cul-de-sacs are definitely not outlawed federally or anything. Not in America. Here in Oklahoma, USA, new developments are being built constantly with cul-de-sacs. Thing is - we also have constitutional carry laws for firearms (carry and own most types of firearms with no permit), so VERY FEW people are stupid enough to burgle homes here.
I'm no expert on this, but just a suggestion. Where you amended the car parks on Main Street, the traffic flow on that road was extremely heavy. However, the road on the edge of Millfield was empty. You could have another road shoot off that newly created roundabout to join the other road and perhaps filter out a lot of the congestion on Main Street? If you haven't adapted that already of course!
The train line would be awesome if that was in a tunnel and you went underground on that side to get to the first portion of the city and then it opened up to the lower portion just before crossing the river. That would be pretty unique
Hi lad, loving the series. Loving the mention of the Gaa- it would be cool if we could have districts with Rival football pitches, they could be different clubs. Hopefully there’s a wee mod for GAA pitches haha- (a man can dream)
I am very surprised to see that banks are not considered an essential service in a city. In real life having a bank branch near you home is very important and people would complaint if they dont have proper banking service in their area.
I really like watching u play.....but ifeel every alternate week you can be doing some huge infrastructure project.....like planning out a downtown, public transport , a port, industrial expansion or just a huge expansion of the city....and in betwen those episodes u can do all the corrections and changes.....its just my opinion. I really like watching u play.❤
There are a lot of cities that have the rail yard close to a train station. Maybe if you surround it with office buildings and low rent housing it could work?
Broadfield is near you? That’s crazy! You must live near me :) used to live in broadfield moved about 15 mins away. Recently found your channel and loving this series playing catch up right now
I play this game too efficiently. everything is a box and just thrown in when and where i need. these cities are so beautiful. need to take a moment and develop things thoughtfully like this
Well, in India, "the colder sacks" is it what you said? The dead ends, they are more desirable and are considered safer because if a thief tries to steal, he has lesser ways to escape.
Calling it the A10 makes me thing of some lyrics and a certain distinguishable noice "Cruisin' down the street in my '64 Jockin' the freaks, clockin' the dough Went to the park to get the sco.......brrrrrrrrrrrrt" 😂
Culdesacs definitely still exist well in the US, does the game have like parking lot buildings as an option? Always thought those would be more common in a city then giant Walmart parking lotd
There are larger parking lots: the multistory, the underground and the very tall automated. We’ll definitely use more of the bigger ones soon as I build out a higher density part of the city
about the wall under the roundebout at around 28 minuts in, how about remoeving it temperarely, then move the dirt up and place te roundabout again? it might work. have not tryed it yet. Like the series keep it up :)
Mods that add retainingwalls are already out. You can remove crosswalks without deleting the pathway that leads to the road :) good to hear that next epi will be sooner than this one
I feel you should place the rail yard where you snticipate multiple railtracks intersecting...and kinda use the multiple tracks of the railyard for that purpose.....i saw one other youtuber do that............or else placing it a bit far away from the coty also makes sense.
I love this series, and your style of videos are great too. I will say a small nitpick is at some points the background music is a little too loud for your voiceover, I think the the lowered muffled music works better in my opinion, but that’s just something I’ve noticed.
Salford is a real place in England so I think it’s pretty cool that you named it that but just so you know it’s pronounced Solfard. Loving the vids btw
It's quite funny because I live near Crawley / Gatwick and there's a place called Salford there, which is what I was actually naming it after (most names in this series are near where I live or have lived in the past) but after naming it Salford everyone assumed (rightfully so) it was Salford in Manchester!
Why do everyone do clock and counter clock buss lines, its so dumb. Irl you have your busses going on a single road up and down and not a damn loop. For example every buss line go for example north and then goes south and passing a center midway all the time on a single road. Making the function of your "loop" by using a single buss line instead of two. Its the same in the metro, just google a map of a metro and you will see every line using a single track going up and down passing a hub for conection between the lines.
I could watch you playing and detailing for hours :D Edit: Could you connect the pathways for the cul-de-sac Beechwood Street with the path newtwork in the new development? :D
Cul-de-sac are horrible for circulation. In the game and in real life. And that came from someone that live in a place where 60% of the road are cul-de-sac
If the people need to spent $60 on parking a day they will be homeless. Its $1800 a month. $30 when they park outside of their home, and another $30 when they go to work.
@@alan9783 it is, you price the bus on max they still use it, you put parking on max they still use it. But then you notice they can't afford to pay rent. The game just says "high rent", it's on "high rent" because they can't afford rent after parking or bus.
Darren I just started watching your channel on this series, and I’m already hooked. The small attention to detail is great. Loving your channel. ❤

You can always run your rail underground at the highway entrance too, that way you don't have to re-do the highway entrance right now.
Darren!
The roads will automatically build a retainning wall on a round-a-bout when the two which are placed the nearest have retainning walls ;)
hands down my fav cs2 series :) was going to put this on to fall asleep too but im hooked to my screen instead
I found this channel like 2 weeks ago and I am HOOKED
i need more content

hey darren, with groundwater pumping just make sure that the percentage doesn't go over 100%, since that will drain the groundwater supply
You should name the counter clockwise routes ex: 1 (clockwise) 1-a (counter clockwise) following that convention could work for simplicity.

If Salford is named after the area of Manchester, it is pronounced Sol-fud rather than Sal-ford. From a northerner :)
You actually got me excited enough to start a new city!

Ever since I started satisfactory you are the one that thought me to build better and overall make me better at the game

Love it man, good stuff as always! Also can’t wait for Frostpunk 2 and Manor lords!
Well, in India, "the colder sacks" is it what you said? The dead ends, they are more desirable and are considered safer because if a thief tries to steal, he has lesser ways to escape.
“Cul de sac” i guess its a french phrase meaning dead end
I've been wondering about the district road thing as well, I've set my lines completely on the other side of my roads just to be sure.
Great video. I like the idea that it's based on UK style
Absolutely hooked love this series cannot wait to finish this vid and go on the next one, Keep up the good work!
Naming the industrial district 'Salford' is a low blow! haha
I love these videos, so calming and interesting, def am sad that its not longer since i cant walk on my foot for a while, keep workin mate!

You need to make the car industry in the commercial taxation full because they still buy cars

You can "stub roads" if you want to limit the roads that curve out. That will help make your roads smaller

The big drill
thing is a bucket excavator
Yes! Been waiting for this one, and it's an hour long!
You keep forgetting the farming and mining area to include in operating districts for services.
The brambles and lilac acres need a football field to⚽💪
Should've named the industry area birmingham lol
Appreciate the British and Irish road naming, numbering!
You can just make a rail tunnel near the highway
Finally 😂 i was waiting all week
Darren will you be doing another series of Citys Scylines 2
Lol 9:50 crossing through lots to bypass traffic is illegal in the US and I assume so in UK too.. Funny but it's kinda a bug that needs to be fixed
South east, crawley naming theme. Is this the inspiration?
Really enjoy your videos! Would like more! No pressure but keep them coming!! 😅
Great video!!!! And thanks for sharing 🎉
might be time for some trams in the town considering the massive bus demand
Is the developer mode only available in steam? I'm not finding anything like that on Gamepass for PC (I'm not surprised lol)
Yeah I think its steam only as you set the “launch options” on steam to go into developermode
People always forget that you can go under
Yea, a bit more mixed housing. I love the look of these buildings. Looks very european
I love the series but MAN parking on the road is going to kill me

I've noticed some of the cherp pop-ups talked about crime has that been resolved?
I could watch you playing and detailing for hours :D

u kno what, i think u have a nice personality bro. the rizz as them kids say.
Finally, new episode. Been waiting for this
Already watched your previous 2 videos on this series today but I guess we are going for a 3 hour run with this upload 🤣
Imagine some Americans driving down the Highway then all of a sudden everything becomes British.
Why not back and forward route for busses ?
It’s called a football field.
I call it that too, but Americans dont, so best to call it Soccer, and American Football.
I've been waiting for a long time for this
I think that's good layout, but that's No more public transportation? Like Train, subway or anything else
I Love this series a lot!
Hope this last

The ringroad of Amsterdam is named A10 😊
Do you need some kind of bleachers for the soccer field?
I missed this! Can't wait to see the next episode.
r u going to be posting CS1 vidoes anymore?
Hy when will be the next video for this game
In 14hrs!
Woohooo love the CS2 series!

I was starving for this episode, 2 weeks is too long 😖
Highways are not affected by the policies in original Cities Skylines. Assume it should be the same in Cities Skylines II.
hey life happens you cant play 1 game 24/7, take whatever time you need to keep making high quality vids
we need more
There are 3 more after this currently!
Amd ot would be vool of you renamed football field to be a club

$30 when they park outside of their home, and another $30 when they go to work.

dont think the game works like that mate
@@alan9783 it is, you price the bus on max they still use it, you put parking on max they still use it.

they need to add more of everything there is way to much money to spend.
It’s not Salford like sally it’s Salford like salt.
WOW!
Hey Darren! 😊
Hey Jessie
can i please get the game? i dont have money?
As someone who's from Salford please pronounce it "Solford" not "Sal"😂

Not way cul de sacs is “outlawed” in US. It is just progressive ppl don’t like it. But it is actually popular so they care.
