You have to understand Jackie is first and foremost a stuntman. He was a stuntman on a couple of Bruce lee's movies in the early 70s. By the time he made rush hour he had his own stunt team. People he trained and worked with. That's why he can do so many of his own stunts. He's the real deal who was able to act as well.

Taken from the wiki. "Jackie Chan Stunt Team"
The Jackie Chan Stunt Team was established in 1976 and originated from the relationships Chan formed in his early starring roles in Hong Kong action movies. Several of his co-stars and stuntmen hired by the film studios began working together regularly. By 1983, the stunt team had become an official organization of 6 members. The organization meant that the stuntmen not only received insurance coverage, but also a monthly salary and higher pay. By the time of Police Story 2 in 1988, the team had expanded to around 20 members. This incarnation of the team was disbanded in 1990 and thereafter, individual members were contracted and used on a film-by-film basis rather than all members remaining on the payroll. This allowed for some new faces, and the return of former members.

After I turned 18 I went to a casino not too far from me every Saturday with $20. Sometimes I walked out with hundreds of dollars....sometimes I walked out with nothing. It is quite the experience. Yep. And at Jackson's 30th Anniversary Jackson and Tucker are together on stage and Tucker is still kicking with the wrong leg and Jackson collapses on the stage in laughter. They became really good friends. Tucker defended him in that 2005 trial because Tucker knew the accusing family (the Arvizos) were frauds as they'd tried to scam him and Jay Leno of some money for Gavin Arvizo's cancer that didn't actually require any more money. The mother Janet Arvizo was later charged with perjury, welfare fraud and had made her kids accuse their own dad of things that never happened too. Tucker's one of the best friends Jackson ever had.

The stunts are always so good in Jackie Chan movies because of Jackie. He has his own stuntman association with people who are trained by him and generally are the ones that work with him in his movies. He also generally is head stunt director in his movies which with his experience in Chinese cinema where the safety regulations back in the day were basically non existent, he's learned how to set up and do incredibly dangerous stunts as practically and as safe as possible. Seriously a good reason why his name is so well known in the stunt/martial arts industry.

Their choreography is amazingly well executed not to punch with full force but they often take some hits and falls for real. That is actually quite literally how they kept their jobs back then in Hong Kong. If you didn't do the stunts, you would be fired. Most of them committed to the job because it was their paycheck that they lived and risked life and limb for everyday. Jackie Chan and most of his original stunt team members, the ones who survived, will tell you stories about how they did these stunts over and over again until they got it right to film on camera.

Everyones hyping tucker but we need to talk about Ziyi Zhang who is also an absolute legend. Crouching tiger, house of flying daggers, memoirs of a geisha. Probably the most badass weapons fight put to film in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

17:44 "Imagine a business where people hand you money and you hand them back absolutely nothing."
Much more often than not, this is how _gambling_ plays out. This is why _casinos_ are always so nice. It's not because they're always giving away jackpots (because they're not).

LOL yeah, next time you watch this, remember that in all of Jackie's insane stunts, he is also suffering monstrous pain from all the failed tries that happened, before he got it just perfect. "Pain is temporary, but film is forever!"

According to Jackie Chan the sequel let alone the first film wasn't almost made. something about how he couldn't understand Chris Tucker's broken english along with his lack of the english language. also im not sure if i mentioned this but Rush Hour led to the creation of "Rotten Tomatoes."

Is back then filmmakers were ok with being funny…because back then the general population were mature enough that if they didn’t like the type of humour, they’d just leave or not watch the movie…but weren’t the vindictive children they are now who can’t cope with others liking stuff they dont

17:32 "Oh- Oh. That wins? I don- I don't know- I don't know how to gamble."
The rules change from game to game. What Carter's playing, I kid you not, is called Craps and it's a game I know _nothing_ about.
The only game I play, when I want to gamble, is Poker. The rules to it take a little time to figure out, but at _no_ point is it in your best interests to let the stakes get too high. Keep a handle on the stakes and you won't take too long to figure it out.

    "without getting hurt"...
Jackie Chan cannot be insured by any insurance carrier because he does
his own stunts and because he's broken most of the bones in his body...
not that he needs insurance- he's made bank off his films.

    "... s/he ain't gonna be in Rush Hour 3."
I say that to this day when a villain meets a harsh end in a movie.

We really need to see you react to Rush Hour 3 now to bring it full circle. But also because it adds a whole new level of comedy between these 2, and supposedly they are working on Rush Hour 4

If you really like Jackie Chan then you should consider checking out and or reacting to him along side Owen Wilson in the movies “Shang Hi Noon” and its sequel “Shang Hi Knights”. Great action and comedy like that of the Rush Hour Trilogy. Love your RUclips reaction channel and your reactions VKunia.
