I really love their interpretation. Just one thing, the sound is dominated by the piano, maybe because the microphone was not close enough to Stefan Jackiw, so the sound volume between piano and violin is not how it should be. However, thank you for uploading this video, have a nice day!
@@Berlinchesmusic A bit harsh, but basically right. For a start, doesn't ANYONE know what "vivace" means? Certainly not slow and sentimental. Brahms is the most serious and undemonstrative of composers. And 6/4 is TWO in a bar, not 6!!! In May 1951 I won a 3-year scholarship to the London College of Music, free tuition and a handsome maintenance grant. Later, I asked what it was that made them award it to me? "Don't worry lad" was the reply: "You got it the moment you put the G major on the stand: we knew that all we had to do was polish you up a bit". Incidentally, they got me to lead the Orchestra from my 2cd. week!

The mannered and idiosyncratic playing by Jackiw is just unbearable. Hard to believe someone can actually butcher Brahms like that.....
