In the South, when it snows, we make something called “snow cream”. Basically it’s a big bowl of fresh clean snow and you fold in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. It tastes remarkably like homemade vanilla ice cream.
What a fun birthday Bennett had. Here in Iowa we are expecting our first snow storm, just in time for Christmas. Might change a lot of plans for people traveling. You certainly got dumped on. I remember snow days with our kids, so much fun but glad when they went back the next day. Your card exchange looked so fun. I just started watching a few days ago, next year your on my list. Hair cuts looks great. The snow looks so magical but there is a down side to it that I never thought about. Keeping driveways clear, roads and planes wings?? Wow a lot of work involved. I still wonder what happens when it all melts, does that too become a problem? Your doing well keeping the boys occupied. I think I’d be curled up with Luna 😅

The snow is so beautiful! This past weekend about an hour north of us they got 48” of snow 😮 lol. We are in central NY. They are semi used to getting that much snow in the North Country. I’m hoping to take my girls to go play in it. We only have about 2-4 inches. Crazy what a small drive north can do.
Lauren I had a hard time opening jars, since my husband passed away, but I heard if you turn your jar upside down and bang it then it will open easy and it does.😊❤
Fun times.. Siberian train going through among a couple other fronts. We have it but expect ice before dump Saturday through Sunday. All you can do is manage or gear up to get through. The winds are a challenge if with fronts hitting. Often at night they are up to 160km and during the day close bridge's that push vehicles off otherwise. Glad the hamper run is tomorrow before it all hits. Keep chimney clear and pay attention to air being drawn up. Stay warm and don't pull your hair out.

Your getting snow like Missouri got snow last year. Kids missed over 2 weeks of school. It kept on snowing way into Spring time. Which it off set the normal Spring planting and fruit tree seasons.

I loved Mark's Christmas Tie, my Dad bought one every year, when my Dad died all my Brothers wore his Christmas Ties at his Funeral. Some of them were musical ties, so every once a while during his Funeral Mass, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, would play. It made us laugh. My Dad made sure all his Sons and Son in laws had a Christmas Tie and all His Daughters had a Christmas Pin every year. Thanks Mark for wearing your Tie it made me so happy. I always make a chocolate icing on my banana cake using the recipe off the Hershey Cocoa can for the chocolate cake. I also do a cooked icing which is made with crisco(can), butter, milk, flour, vanilla, powder sugar. You can use table sugar, just beat it a little longer. I like trying something different.

we are not big pickle eaters a jar can.last 2 yrs here prob more I use for other things not eatting but mixed in to things lol anyways I always keep jar of pickle juice if kids sick or say they have sore throat n doesn't go away in a day have them drink a shot or spoonful of juice if it burn or hurts 9/10times it's strep. my grandma always had us drink it n it worked we'd go to dr n he say it's strep. it's an old old thing but it works just sharing. I mix juice in deviled eggs tuna salad coleslaw ect
