This is Robert’s greatest song! The best love song ever written besides David’s absolute beginners and Sinatra’s strangers in the night. The 70/80s had a lot of talent, but Robert by far is top 20.
My favourite song by Robert Palmer, this makes my heart melt and brings a tear to my eye every time I listen to this song🥲. He was a lovely musician with an outstanding and coherent voice, I wish I knew how to sing like that. Rip robert palmer ❤
Robert was and always will be a class act. He had tremendous talent which he always used. He's been gone for 6 years now and I still miss him so much. RI.P. Robert, darling.
Probably my favourite Robert Palmer song (and aren't we spoiled for choice). Beautiful lyrics, beautiful arrangement, beautiful man. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
My favourite robert palmer song I loved his music in the 80s sweet shy man with a fabulous voice he is very much missed this is real music !! ❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Love and miss you Robert Palmer. Love this song but always thought the lyrics were "she makes my bed". So everytime I made the bed I sang this and thought of my husband. A great wedding song too.
he loved all excellent music. i think this song is his tribute to Cole Porter, whose work he did cover. Cole Porter would have been in awe of Robert Palmer.
She just has to smile to blow my cares away. She just has to touch my hand to make me stay. Song came out when I was only a naive 19-year-old and I was surprised that I appreciated what these lines meant. I've been living to hear a man say something like that to me, but so far no one has. Oh well.
Amazing man and talent always my favorite male singer and hero as far as vocal singers I am still and even bigger fan of Devo, Gary Numan and the band, The Tubes, The Cars maybe more Palmer and band surely in my top 10 for sure.
He means it .these lyrics..must be his wife..I ran right and bought his new vinyl when it came out,, fortunately I was subscribed to The Rolling Stone ( when it was a news paper ) like paper music internet. Miss this dude man ..wow..
Beautiful song. As an aside, why does this say it's at the Royal Albert Hall and then it says it's from Sunday Night at the London Palladium? It's clearly not the RAH. The stage looks completely different. I suggest that with that program title it was at the London Palladium. Plus I think it was called Live From The Palladium. That other program was on in the 60s. Nice song though. Sorry if nobody cares about the point I'm making.
How anyone can put a dislike on this is beyond me he is so talented x

Hi Phil B. Good point. It’s a typo. This was recorded at the palladium for a royal variety performance. I’ll update the narrative.
She just has to smile to blow my cares away.
She just has to touch my hand to make me stay.

The Palladium that was on 14th street?
A música mais estranha que conheço é essa. Parece que tudo está em dissonância. Melodia, harmonia, vocals, ... Sorry.
