Fantastic lyrics, composition and showmanship. I just get flashes of the white album whenever the drummer hits those ringo esque style eighths on the high hats around 2:42
its super whitealbumesque - the harmonies, chord progression, production sound and then the bassline and drums - but it's masterfully done and doesn't feel like a cheap copy of the band.
Sun is rising Black is turning blue Look out, buddy, Noah's coming Jesus, man, what did you do? Psychic terrorists In the upper room Left foot, right foot, that's the ticket You'll be back on top real soon Whose bright idea was it to sharpen the knives? Just twenty minutes 'fore the boat capsize If you want an answer, it's anybody's guess I'm treading water as I bleed to death Oh, oh, oh What's your politics? What's your religion? What's your intake? Your reason for living? Your compositions A start of every song Find you waking in the morning Always there to grieve the dawn Trouble sleeping My alarm goes off So you wanna hang out at the gallows? Those guys get an early start Oh, whose bright idea was it to sharpen the knives? @@wehaveourlegs he's in time, but comes in late as in he technically doesn't do the full/proper fill that's on the record; I know that's anal, but it's such an iconic and special moment for me on the record that it pricked my ear
@@Taylor_King Definitely a different fill from the record, but seeing as Dan doesn't play on the record it makes sense he'd want to mix it up live. Anyway, I appreciate the drum talk.
every member of Fleet Foxes is a living legend - some of the most talented musicians on the planet
@@shadygroves8252 I fell asleep at a Fleet Foxes concert a few years back. Boring ass band. I see why Josh got outta there.
Damn the melon was right, this is good music!
Josh and the band absolutely killing it, as usual.
Father John Misty is the fkin epitome of cool.
Man I love this song.

@@TigermoonMusic Whitealbumesque?
My favorite performance of his!
Man this is awesome stuff! My favorite moment is right at 2:48 when the lights come in
The arm flails after was a good naturalization of it though, they played through it without making it awkward.
holy shit this is beautiful
Penultimate frontman. He’s got every head in the room moving in time to his hips.

Eyes swimming from the bourbon and listening to this song

Who is the guitar player who is co-vocalist too?
Band sounds amazing. Dan comin' in late on that drum fill at 3:48 kills me though

Arthur Velez yeah he starts it late
