I like that Big Nickel Over G has just about every coverage in the game, but it’s missing 3 cloud, I usually end up using Corner Blitz 3 to play cloud by putting him in a flat of my choosing, blitzing all my LBs, then zoning all of my Lbs. I’ve memorized the setup like a fighting game combo.
YOOOOO. Such a simple and "under my nose" adjustment". Thank you much for this. I hate that cloud isn't in BNOG too. I hate that these coverages were stripped out of all formations but BNOG. We miss out on all of the cool fronts we could use with these coverages which sucks.
@@XandoFootball yeah and the fact that will still play 3 match to the side of the nickel if there’s doubles. So it’s essentially a smarter 3 match as well
I also started using the SS Blitz 2 and audibling into 3 Buzz seam to create a solid front look from Over G and give the illusion that I’m double teaming the back side 1 stopping posts and anything from that side, and highlighting the #2 to the side I rotate away from so the safety is somewhat aware that he could go deep and at least make a tackle and squeeze after the throw. I’ve been straight up confunsing ppl with this recently and I’m getting pressure with 4. I can also use this same set up for Quarters solo/poach to have the safety steal 3 vertical from being at the LOS bc he bails once he reads pass and does his best to play his assignment. It takes the crosser away bc I carry 3 to him. I’m really starting to get creative on D again. Essentially I get 1 high quarters or palms depending on what I call and no one will expect it bc it will look more like a C0 than C4, which if you remember is the complementary coverage to C4. Edit#2: this is even good at keeping scrambling QBs in the pocket bc it takes longer for the correct read to be made. And because it’s a Weak rotation, audibling to a coverage that always plays to the strength undoes that pre snap rotation to give your opponent hell. And if you want a counter stay with the rotation or just don’t rotate
Last nugget that’s a madden specie thing, the ability “outside shade” giving you quicker reactions to cuts outside the numbers Allows players that have that ability to be put on an island outside and take away all outside routes while also disrupting the inside cuts. I wouldn’t actually consider this for actually man coverage tho, I’d actually use this for zone or a match style D, bc it seems it doesn’t have to actually be man for it to work

First off I luv the channel and all the great content..can you do a breakdown of the concept of Cover 2 Cougar..one idea I have is to call 2 man and change the safeties to outside thirds..looking forward to your thoughts on that!
I Haven't heard if cover 2 cougar before. However I do know of cover 5 cougar. I wonder if your referencing the same thing...and they are just named different from the coaching trees we are referencing?
would you ever try and get the weak side seam defender a little more outside (if you have time) so he doesnt get out leveraged as bad? if you haven't, I might mess around with it. Only thing I could think of is, a Hot to the weak side (maybe a hitch from #2 or a quick seam throw BUT you'd be in the area along with the outside 3rd and inside 3rd. idk haha let me know if youve messed around with it
@@XandoFootball yeah, I messed around with it today and one thing I was able to do to cut down on one step was, if they are on the left boundary, I’d turn the auto flip off and call it to the proper side and then move that seam guy outside, now every so often I’d either forget to turn auto flip off or back on lol

I don't know why I haven't thought of this. A lot of times time gets close with opponent quick snapping though.
