I can wait until there are Laws that hold everyone responsible even the companies that make the service. Perhaps a ban on these services all together. Educating people after the crime has occurred doesn't wash your hands.
Pawning the responsibility off yourself will not stop the scammers. Even if you have so call "good" habits or "safe" guards. I have a password manager. I use for and vpns, but in the end you are dealing with a criminal that doesn't care. You throw a wall up one way, he'll just try to go through or around it. I guess his current employment is to take from people and not get caught. I don't see how a service that has these loopholes can offer their services anymore. But by all means blame the user.
Paypal sent a warning to me a few years ago warning that fraudsters were posing as Paypal, and warned that the way to tell a genuine Paypal email was that the greeting would always give the Paypal customer's name as in Dear John Doe, whereas the fraudsters, not having names, would open Dear Paypal Customer.

I called my bank and had them disable all Zelle transactions. It is locked from receiving or sending money. The bank rep I talked with admitted that Zelle has flaws that make it vulnerable to hackers. Zelle is an offshore scammers dream. When your money is gone to another country, it is GONE.

I've used it without incident to pay my rent since January 2021. That said, I don't use Zelle for any automatic withdrawals from my account.
